Do You Believe?

We all have a belief system. In network marketing if you don't believe in what you're doing you will not succeed. I believe that people are more important than money. Now that might sound strange to some, but let me explain. For twenty two years I served in Law Enforcement. As a Police Officer, I was expected to "Serve and Protect." When I was a 'Rookie' I made mistakes when it came to serving those knuckleheads who had just committed a crime. I treated them like dirt even though they were still human beings.

As I got older I realized that I could get more cooperation by treating people with respect than by demeaning them. I might not have liked what they had done, but showing respect most times took them off guard because no one had ever treated them that way! It also caused less" Use of Force." (I was getting too old to fight with them!)

When I observed new officers and how they acted (just like I did when I was new) toward the 'bad guy' I began calling their actions the "John Wayne Syndrome." What that means is, the officer would strut about with his chest out and expected everyone to show him respect because he was wearing a badge. When he didn't get the respect he was looking for, the officer would then become abusive and would usually end up in a fight with the suspect.

Now that I am retired, I am still a big believer in helping others. In business, when I see a new person trying to figure out this business, I would rather teach and mentor that person and watch them succeed. The money will come, but the satisfaction of helping others is more important to me.

Do you believe in teaching and mentoring the people you sponsor? Do you teach others in the community so that everyone has a chance to succeed? I read once where about 1,000 people join some kind of network marketing company every 24 hours. Most of them will fail within the first year. The biggest reason is because they couldn't figure out what they needed to do.

Could you imagine how much success we would have if we mentored and trained our down line properly? Remember, when your down line succeeds, you succeed. And after all, isn't success what we all desire?

If you are new to network marketing and are struggling, before you give up, try and find a trainer or mentor that can help you. You deserve to succeed. Believe you will succeed and you will!
