"We grow great by dreams" is a quote attributed to Woodrow Wilson, and this definitely is applicable in the home based network marketing industry. In an effort to harness the power of your dreams ensure you apply the following to your business:
1. Write out your dreams, don't edit or prejudge. It's perfectly fine and expected to have tens or even hundreds of dreams on the paper in front of you.
2. Identify your core values and determine what things you refuse to sacrifice under any circumstances. For example, you should always be an ethical business person regardless of the situation or people involved.
3. Write out your own personal mission statement. This is simply a couple of sentences that really identifies what you are doing, why you are doing it and will always help you recover the passion when times get tough - and you can be sure you'll have plenty of low and high points along the way.
4. Cast your own vision of what you plan to achieve, what impact that will have on your entire life from a work and personal life perspective.
5. Set your goals that you can actual measure and track. Make them as specific as possible with actual dates associated with reaching the goal. For any large goals, ensure there are several milestone goals along the way so you can begin seeing and achieving success quickly.
6. Plan your work and work your plan. Time management is a critical component of success not only in business, but also in general. Ensure you're blocking out time to work on accomplishing your goals, and continue working until you have accomplished what you set out to do.
7. Focus and avoid time wasters. TV, games and internet surfing can be fun and rewarding, but also can be extremely detrimental to your business when they impede progress.
Now you need to be realistic as well, while everything above is helpful when applied to your business, it still relies upon you taking action. Planning and preparation is only half the battle, you still have to show up at work and keep making progress towards your goals. And remember, most people overestimate what they can accomplish in 6-12 months and underestimate what they can accomplish in 12-24 months.
