Can you make money with a Free Business Opportunity?
I've been seeing a lot of free business opportunities where you aren't required to sponsor or sell because the up-line is going to do it for you. In this article, I am going to discuss the validity of these opportunities. Business is about making money. Nothing evil about that. It just is. In order to make money, a business must provide something of value to their prospective customers. Just how valuable is a free home business? Many people will not take it seriously and so its value as an initial offer is quite low. People are way too cynical with all the scams they've either experienced or heard about to accept money for nothing. If they weren't, the market would be saturated with everyone in the free home business. Thank goodness for cynical people! It makes for better business.
People offering the free home base business opportunity would have overhead setting you up and would need to recoup that overhead in some way. This leads to the next point that I know I'm getting tired of: the freebie that leads to item after item you need to buy to get started. It's one thing to be pitched a business with a cost that also has add-ons or bonuses, but its quite another to say 'free' when there is nothing you can run with until you buy something. That is not a free business, its free information.
I'm not sure where the money for nothing attitude comes from; the song from Dire Straits of the same name overlooked the point that those bands that rocketed to the top had to work very hard for years before their 'break' and then if they didn't keep working, they'd fall away. Business is no different, it requires a lot of good, hard work; more in the beginning than later perhaps, but a determined effort nevertheless. In these times where your typical employment and investment opportunities are becoming less reliable, we find the perfect opportunity for people to fan their entrepreneurial spark and build their own real business with a good, solid determined effort.
A real business opportunity needs to have a product or service of value to the consumer. The offer is coming from your potential business partner and as such that partner needs to be scrutinized as to whether they are up to the task of being your partner. Brick and mortar businesses wouldn't get in business with or form business alliances with just anyone. Why should a home business be any different? Business is serious and if done right, fun too. There is simply no place for lazy, hands off operations.
I believe it's clear that if you are considering a real business opportunity, you really need to have the mindset that it is a real business first. You are the CEO and you need to partner with people who will provide real benefit to you from a business perspective. You need to market your business, and in order to do that, the people you are signing up with should represent a solid foundation from which you can learn and launch your business and market your valuable products or services.
