If members of the graduating class of 2010 trade their passions for security or a paycheck they can be guaranteed to spend the next 20,586 days complaining about their jobs.
The reasons is this, psychologists report the main indicator of happiness can be traced to the fact that those who chase a career path dictated by family or financial pressures, rather than their pursuing passions are guaranteed to live unhappy lives.
Is the entrepreneurial spirit that launched America to the greatest abundance the planet has seen doomed for extinction?
The good news is that the entrepreneurial spirit is not yet dead in America. Statistics report 8 out of 10 people dream of starting their own business; yet, only a scant 1 out 10 actually takes the leap.
As you might imagine, if statistics can be any indication of future expectations, 7 out of 10 graduates are therefore destined to live unhappy lives, because they will make the conscious choice to give up on their dreams of becoming a business owner.
Certainly, the 2010 graduating class is facing unprecedented challenges. However, they are also being offered the greatest opportunities via Internet network marketing, since Columbus discovered America.
The reason is this: the Internet makes it possible to launch one's own network marketing business with little upfront cash, a computer, and a lot of determination. Of course, this isn't the security of a barista at $10/hr. But the potential income is akin to starting one's own Starbucks.
The Internet will deliver a whole new breed of digital entrepreneurs in the coming decade. Many of them will be multi-millionaires. And this entire industry is just getting started.
Don't heed the doom and gloom. Recognize the fact that 2010 is the perfect time to start your own business. Don't be counted among those who settle and spend the remaining 20,586 days of their lives (calculated on 78.4 years life expectancy) complaining about their jobs.
Be true to your life's purpose. If you are one of the 8 out of 10 who long to be your own boss--the timing couldn't be better.
If you need help mustering your courage--the Information Age has delivered that, too. Coaching for success can make the difference between success and failure.
Join the no-excuses camp and discover your inner purpose of running your own business. Your very happiness could be at stake.
