As a home business owner for over seven years now, I can tell you that, over time, you are going to need a lot of things to run your business. Some of these things are going to cost money...lots of money. Well, did you know that there are a lot of things that you can actually try for free BEFORE you decide if they're something you can actually use? It's true. You just have to know where to look. This article touches on the subject. Hopefully, you'll get something useful out of it. Okay, let's start from the beginning. You've started your home business and you've decided that in order to run it properly, you need a certain piece of software. Personally, I use Ultra Edit, Photoshop, Camtasia, Dreamweaver and a host of other things. Some of these cost me a pretty penny. But in many cases, I wasn't sure I was actually going to need the software. So I wanted to try it out. How do you do this without having to dish out the money first? Very simple. Let's say that you're thinking of going into the graphic design business and you've been told that Photoshop is the way to go. However, you're not sure that you want to sink that much money into it without at least trying it out first. So what do you do? Go to Google and type in "Photoshop free trial." If you look at the results, you will find a listing that says, "Adobe Photoshop Free Trial - Download Photoshop CS3 30 Day Tryout." There you go. You can try CS3, which cost something like $699 when I bought it, for free for 30 whole days. You can't beat that deal, can you? And this will work for just about any software on the market. The reason is simple. Software manufacturers are not dumb. They want you to buy their software but they know that, especially in the case of expensive products, you're not going to just sink $700 into something without trying it first. So they give free trials. It's in their best interests to do this. This practice doesn't just confine itself to software. Many membership sites that provide services will also give you a 30 day free trial for their service. Some products and services are only 7 days, but still long enough to get an idea of whether or not you want to buy the product or service afterward. Again, just type in the product or service name and then "free trial" after it. You should see results for just about anything.
