Affiliate marketing - You can promote any one of a million products online by registering to be an affiliate for that product. A quick Google search for "affiliate program" reveals nearly 40 million results. You can sign up to promote a product that you like and you will be given a special hyperlink to use in your promotions. If a buyer clicks on your link and makes a purchase, you will receive a commission. You can promote your link by writing about it in a blog, or submitting articles to article directories, or by building a Website devoted to the product.

Blogging - There are several ways to make money by blogging. A blog is a simple Website that you can create in minutes using a free program called WordPress. You simply write articles using the built in text editor and click the "publish" button to put them online. You can write about any topic under the sun and if your content is compelling, people who are interested in your topic will find your site. You can make money blogging by putting ads on your site such as Google AdSense ads; these will pay you when people click on them. You can also promote affiliate products on your blog.

Review Websites - These are simple Websites which review a product to provide visitors to the site with more information that might inform their decision whether or not to buy that product. If you have experience with it, you can write about the pros and cons. Of course, the idea behind creating review Websites is to find products for which you can write favorable reviews and then encourage the visitors to buy them using the affiliate link you provide.

It's also possible to mix and match the above - you can review products on a blog, or put advertisements on a review site. The idea in all of the above topics is simple - create content that your visitors will find interesting, offer them some reason to click on your link, such as a compelling review, and wait for the commission checks when they make purchases. Blogs and review sites are easily repeatable projects; you can build dozens of review sites, for instance, and scale up your income dramatically.

It really isn't that difficult to make money online. It just takes some focus and a little bit of effort.
