Attending focus groups is definitely a good way to make extra money, but sometimes it may be hard to find when the upcoming groups are in your area. Waiting for a recruiter to call you, because you are in the database is not always the best thing to do. You may not be in the database of companies that are listing their upcoming focus groups, so you have to research and find them. Here are some methods that will work.

Some of the best ways to find research opportunities in your area does not take a lot of time. I have found if you go to Craigslist and go to your city and then click on the ETC jobs, then go in the search for: area type in focus group or market research, firms that are in need of people sometime post on Craigslist daily. You can also go into to the volunteers area and do the same as you did in the ETC area.

Another website you can go to is find focus groups. This site lists upcoming focus groups that it is aware of in many cities around the country. You can also join their database.

Lastly, this website is awesome! It not only emails you upcoming groups in your city and nationwide, but it also will list free samples and products that are available. Go to FG Global and sign up.
