Learning how to start a .com business isn't the hard part. Making that business succeed can be. The majority of newbie internet marketers will fail. Fact.
There are several reasons for this but the most common is the lack of having and following a strategy that has proved to work. It is perfectly possible to be successful online, but like everything in life, you need a thought-through, tried and tested formula.
Many people are mislead into thinking that making money, indeed becoming rich, through their internet marketing efforts will be easy. In a way, with the right approach, it isn't hard, but most give up before they become successful because they have no plan to follow. They become disheartened when all their efforts prove fruitless.
On top of the lack of a 'work model' many people (including myself before I wised up) have also fallen foul of tricksters and con-men on the internet who appeal to our inherent human laziness and greed by promising that if we purchase their automated or push button system we will be rich by the end of the week with virtually no effort or skill on our behalf. This does NOT happen.
People do become rich (some massively so) through online marketing but it is as a result of knowing what to do, when and where and how to do it. It also takes time and doesn't happen magically overnight. Schemes that sound too good to be true, quite simply are, and should be avoided.
When success doesn't come as promised, people feel disillusioned and disheartened and either give up altogether or quite frequently, jump from one hyped up super-system to the next, attempting to purchase their dream of working at home and for themselves for a few dollars.
The fact is, to be successful in any field in life you need knowledge. You need to educate yourself about the subject. One of the ways to ensure success is to copy what those people, who are already successful, do. Their methods have already proved themselves.
Fortunately, this information isn't hard to come by, free on the internet itself, and good entrepreneurs will always be happy to help and advise you. You also have to apply yourself to the task and make the effort.
Working at home from your computer, with all the benefits that brings, is a very (and increasingly) popular ambition. At a time when the world is anything but stable in the work and finance departments, there is something very empowering about being successfully self-reliant.
Having the possibility and scope (which we have in internet marketing) of being paid handsomely, and often repeatedly, for our efforts, and making enough money to fulfil our dreams, (whatever they may be) is an intoxicating and alluring prospect.
It is perfectly possible and doable too, but it does require you to learn new skills, follow a strategy or plan that has been proved to work and it does require effort and application.
A positive and determined psychological approach is also necessary (I will discuss this further at a later date) but, the most important thing (to steal a phrase from Tony Blair) is Education, Education, Education!
There is nothing to stop you making a massive and life-changing success online and realizing your personal dreams of financial freedom and riches but you do need to equip yourself with the know how first and decide that you will be a success.
