Hype - An Alternative View

Hype-proof. Once upon a time, the claim was that you could hype as much as you liked as long as you could then lay you're proof down as incontrovertible evidence the hype was correct. Now, of course, the FTC disallows over the top claims of earnings, for example. However, with that in mind, you can still provide genuine evidence. But now it may be best to put the proof first.

In other words, like a resume to a prospective employer, the reader is asking to be shown, up front, what exactly has been achieved. He doesn't want the hype first, he wants a demonstration of results. Having seen some proof, if accepted, he can go on to read the rest.

Then the miraculous. Once the proof has been gotten through and accepted, the reader might accept more readily any exaggerated claims, such as the miraculous pouring of money into your bank account. Such hype is doubtful to be believed in present times with all the experience we've had of hype. But with the proof put first, it might be seen as hype but overlooked.

Tired but might be true. There's the overused hype in "skyrocket profits" or "a tsunami of profits" and so on. However, there's nothing wrong with such hype if they also happen to be true. Again, putting proof first helps with this. But also, if profits do or can increase at a rapid rate if a method is followed, then such phrases are perfectly acceptable even if they are tired.
