In Business - Hesitation Will Kill You

Having a goal to have everything impeccably in line is a nice, however, waiting for that moment can put your success on hold. I've seen great ideas from entrepreneurs get left in the dust by their competition because they were taking too long trying to make everything so perfect.

It is no longer necessary to have that flawless game plan before getting out there and introducing your products to the world. It's more important to take action and start becoming more visible now, even if everything is not so perfect.

I've noticed this kind trend, this waiting for all the stars to align, this hesitation with some many small business owners that I've met over the years.

However, the longer they waited, the more chances they gave their competition to be found first, potentially stealing the lime light right from them. What you thought was a one-of-a-kind idea, and your hesitation to start building your visibility now, cost you because someone else jumped on the idea rather than waited for the "perfect" moment.

Right now someone else may be working on an idea similar to yours. You've seen it happen, you come up with this great idea one day, and instead of developing it and putting it out there - you wait.

What happens? You guessed it, someone else just ran with it.

The Internet is constantly changing, far too quickly to even worry about finding small imperfections that can easily and quickly be fixed once they are discovered.

Marketing, especially online, takes time to develop and waiting for the perfect moment just lengthens the time before you start seeing results.

I'm not trying to say that you shouldn't to strive for excellence with your business idea. However, there's a big difference between striving flawless plan as a goal and simply waiting for the perfect time or moment before you take action.

I completely agree that you should:

* Review your Website for any spelling errors or flaws that could hurt your business image
* Check that all contact forms, landing pages and other components are working
* Ensure that your Brand is well designed and consistent throughout your web pages and promotional/marketing materials
* Target the right audience using the right keywords/phrases within your content

But waiting and trying to get everything just right, or whatever that may be, whether it is your website, social networking profiles, email marketing campaigns or your PPC advertising - is costing you potential new customers, visibility and time - not to mention money.

Waiting for everything to be flawless could cost you that THUNDER. Get everything to the point where only YOU know that everything is not "done" and just go live.

Do you know how many retail store openings I've been to, or fashion events I've attended where even though everything was not flawless, they still opened up their doors because they knew waiting for everything to be perfect could have cost them.

The longer you wait for that perfect alignment, the more the world is passing you by, including your competition.
