In 1899 the Director of the American Patent Office said "Everything that can be invented has been invented". Now of course we are better informed, or are we?
Discoveries come along faster than ever and as you are the operator of an affiliate marketing business you must keep a very open mind. Something you must be aware of is present trends, I do say be aware of, but I also advocate being careful not to jump on every new trend that comes along.
My cautionary note is to keep you aware that "All That Glitters Is Not Gold" make doubly sure that what you are taking an interest in has someone behind it that has a proven track record.
You only need to look back to the late 1990's to see the sense in this, too many people thought that the internet was a "Get Rich Quick" business and got their fingers severely burned for their lack of due diligence.
So how do you take due diligence? First I say beware of anyone who claims that they have the only solution to a particular problem.
They may very well be the first to solve the problem but within 9 to 12 months there will be many others.
The internet is full of what used to be called "snake oil salesmen" with their own particular snake oil. Don't be too keen to get on board immediately, it is far better to develop a strong base for your business that stands the test of time.
So what does a sound base require? It requires the owner to have high ethical standards who is prepared to stand behind their products and guarantees,no matter what is being stated about either them or the product.
People deal with other people and the moment anyone tries to hide by blaming others they immediately lose all credibility. Provide quality information and products and build your base on these by treating your customers as special clients.
There is nothing new in any of this but it has stood the test of time and build several fortunes for the owners of companies who used it to build their solid base.
If there is such a thing as "A Gravy Train" I don't think it would be very comfortable travelling in it. I would much rather travel in a reliable manner and make sure that I reach my destination, which is a successful business build on a solid foundation.
There are two main parts to a successful home business the first is a high demand affiliate product and the second part is to promote the product to highly targeted interested visitors, to find out more on driving traffic visit
