You enter a key word for a particular business ( could be an MLM company or a local restaurant, etc.and the mail scraper starts hunting for web sites that contain that key word and also looks for an email address and a phone number. If a particular site only has an email address, then you get an email address or if your lucky, it'll have a contact phone number and you'll get both! Now by now every marketer should know that if they get an email or phone number from a web site and just call that number it's called SPAM. You can get fined for that. BUT - if you send that person an email asking them about THEIR business, then it's not illegal. So now I've been getting emails that look like this: Hello, I was searching on line to find more info about . Can you tell me,are you still involved with ? If you are, how are things going for you? Sincerely, Bob Really Bob? You want to know how I'm doing in my business? Why? Do you want to join MY business or are you fishing for prospects to join YOUR business? If I respond to the above email, then the person who sent it to me can email be back to sell me their "deal of the day". If I give them my phone number, then they can plug it into their auto-dialer system and bug me to death. So let's be honest - How many people actually listen to robot phone calls they get in the middle of the day or 9pm at night? Me? I say a cuss word and hang up within 5 minutes. I suppose that lead net pro is for some people and has a good use somewhere, but I consider this program "subterfuge marketing." Don't come at me with a cookie cutter email asking me how my business is doing to try to get me to respond to your email so you can sell me YOUR deal. And don't EVER expect me to respond to a robot phone pitch. After careful consideration, I determined that this program had no use for my niche market so I didn't buy it. I also didn't want to have to send emails to people or set up a robot phone message to try and sell anyone the program because... well just because it was too much work for me. I HATE being on the phone calling people and just don't need the money because my current business is doing just fine! I got a call the other day from a business contact that I haven't heard from in years and he says to me, "You have GOT to see this new program I got called Lead Net Pro - it's amazing!" So having an open mind, I listened to his pitch about a program that "scrapes" emails & phone numbers from public web sites, gathers them all in a neat little data package where a person can now email and call them to tell them about THEIR business opportunity or "latest & greatest" program. Sigh. I spent the next 2 days researching Lead Net Pro. Of course every time I see the word "reviewed" or "scam" in an article title it's nothing more than just another affiliate wanting someone to join Lead-Net-Pro through their link so THEY make the $300. I really wasn't able to find much online that had anything bad to say about this program. I couldn't find anything that explained EXACTLY how one would use a data base of email addresses and phone numbers scraped from web sites without getting spanked for spamming either. So I called my old "friend" back and told him that I wasn't going buy squat until he told me how this program works so I could determine if it would do MY business any good.
