I want to give you a list of 5 questions you simply must ask whenever you are trying to find a legitimate work at home job.
Any company that runs an honest business will answer these for you. If a company doesn't then run, don't walk, the other way.
What task will I have to perform?
I think this one is rather straight forward. Find out exactly what you have to do. Get the program sponsor to list every step of the job. Make sure you get answers that satisfy you.
Will I be paid a salary or will I be paid a commission?
This is always on of the first questions I ask a new company. It is important to find out how you will get paid.
If you get a salary, then you can expect the same amount of money each and every month. The good thing about this is you know how much money you will make. The bad thing is that you will not get paid more for working extra.
If you get paid based on commission, you paycheck will depend on how much you sell. The big advantage here is that if you work hard and sell a lot, you make more money. The disadvantage is that if you can't sell, you don't make money.
Most scams will offer you a commission and not a salary. Now please don't think this means that all commission based jobs are a scam because they are not.
Who will pay me?
This one is another big one for me. If you are not being paid by the company that hired you, it might not be a real job. Do some more checking.
When will I get my first paycheck?
This question is similar to the last one. Any dependable company will be able to tell you when you can receive your first paycheck.
If you are being paid a salary they can tell you on which day you will receive it.
If you are being paid a commission, you will have to meet a minimum amount in your account before being paid. Usually they say something like once your account reaches $100 dollars, you get paid.
If the company can't tell me exactly when I will get paid, it is not a place I want to work for. And you shouldn't either.
What is the total cost of my investment?
You want to find out here how much you startup expenses will be. Remember we already talked about startup kits and startup expenses. You have to expect investing some money when beginning a business.
Find out the cost to join there program. Find out about other expenses too, like supplies, equipment, newspaper ads, etc.
I want to say this again, you should expect to spend some money. They company should be able to tell you exactly how much you should spend. They should also tell you when you will make money.
If a company can't tell you how much money you will spend and how much you will make, you might want to reconsider working for them. If the answers to any of the questions sounds fishy, you might not be dealing with an honest company. It might be a company trying to scam you out of you money.
