Self-talk involves the cognition and dialog which you have within yourself. The internal conversations which aid you most greatly, are those which enable you to use all of your senses. For example, when you relay your wishes to yourself, and see those wishes play out in your mind, you illuminate to yourself exactly what it is that you are wishing for. When you affix your other senses to this cognition and dialog, you are able to imagine what you wish feels like, sounds like, smells like, etc. This augments the significance of your wish in your own mind.
It is common knowledge that society has a tendency to chastise those who talk to themselves. However, the people who are chastised are the ones who let everyone around them know that they are talking to themselves. Intra-personal communication involves talking to yourself within your own head. Therefore, you will not get chastised. Moreover, many of the most successful people in history have attributed much of their success to daily self-talk.
Now that we know that we can engage in self-talk without being locked in a padded cell, how can we utilize it to make money from home? Well, one thing that you can do, is give yourself a pep talk when things are not going the way in which you had hoped.
Unfortunately, many people allow anxiety and negativity to get the best of them. After all, we react in a manner which is consistent with our current environmental stimuli. If the environment is telling us that thing are not going well, we tend to feel upset and anxious. Thus, the challenge which we face is convincing ourselves to remain positive in the face of adversity. When we encounter a problem, we need to tell ourselves that there is a solution which we must find, and then implement. This is were intra-personal communication comes in very handy.
Furthermore, those of us who make money from home must also understand that it is through failure that we learn most effectively. We must see our challenges as steps to the next level, and constantly remind ourselves of this through intra-personal communication.
One of the most compelling reasons why intra-personal communication is so valuable to those of us who make money from home, is because it maintains our focus. When you are continually checking with yourself to reiterate what your goals are, what you need to do to achieve those goal, and whether or not you are on pace, you are much more likely to succeed. In fact, the most successful people in the world engage in similar self-talk sessions constantly.
Contrast this with the person who fails to converse intra-personally. Such individuals often struggle to make money from home because they have no clarity or details on what their specific goals are (eg. how much money), or how they will achieve their goals. There is zero emotion or desire driving them towards their goals. As time goes by, they continue to fail to make money from home, yet still sit around and wonder why they have such bad luck.
