How many people want to make money from home so they can escape the outside world of office politics? When asked why they want to begin making money from home, some common answers include: extra cash to pay bills, more money to buy something special, or to start a business to escape the office politics, daily commute, and having a boss telling me what to do. These are just a couple of the reasons that people look to make money from home. No matter what your reason, it is your vision and your plan with or without Spot as a companion.
Obviously Spot should not be the only reason you embark on earning some extra cash but he can make a faithful companion no matter how your day is going. If you are busy in your home office trying to capitalize on any extra hour that you can spare, there will be times that you get so wrapped up in your current project that all concept of time is lost out the window. There will also be the occasion when what you have been working on for the last couple of hours doesn't work and frustration sets in. With his head resting on your thigh at your computer looking up with those loving eyes, Spot will remind you that everything is going to work out and that he loves you unconditionally even if your computer appears to be Satan today.
Dogs make great office buddies until you are on the phone with a client and the doorbell rings. Then the barking will be a distraction, the client will realize that you are not in an office building, and any subject you were concentrating on will suddenly be dropped as you are apologizing for the noise. That's the bad news. The good news is that Spot will be a coworker that does not let you down, will not talk back, and would not dare try to take your clients from you.
Spot will announce the mailman and your shipment of new inventory that has just arrived. With his tail wagging, the mailman gets a warm greeting and you do not have to keep peering out the window looking for the box that has inventory for the order you received last night that you want to ship today.
Having a dog licking your hand as you type on the computer can take some getting used to. There are times when it is not productive no matter how cute he is. If the door is closed or you have an arrangement just by looking Spot in the eye, then he'll go fall asleep and let you make money from home. Reward him for being good. Tell him it is more treats for him and a new car for Mama. Dogs understand a lot more than people give them credit for.
Remember to take Spot out for a walk at lunchtime. He deserves it and you can take advantage of the fact that you have the flexibility to take twenty minutes to get fresh air, sunshine, and exercise, something often lost when working for someone else. [
