To have a website, you must have a company that will host it. Two of the most popular hosting companies are Godaddy.com and Hostgator.com. Each of these, as well as the other hosting companies, offer different plans at different costs. For this, you get a single domain, unlimited disk space and for just $7.95 a month unlimited bandwidth. The next step up is called the Baby Plan and for $7.95 a month you get unlimited domains, unlimited.disk space and unlimited bandwidth
Choosing a niche
After you have signed up for a hosting account, you will need to choose a niche. The best niches are those composed of what are known as "desperate buyers." Desperate buyer niches include groups of people such as those who are desperate to lose weight, who have chronic headaches, who are suffering from type 2 diabetes, and so on. In other words, these are people who are desperately anxious to get help.
Unfortunately, many of the desperate buyer niches are so competitive it's difficult to make money in them. Alternately, you can try for a niche of people who are passionate about an interest or hobby. Examples of this would include people who fly RC airplanes, model railroaders, and women who scrapbook.
How to register a domain name
You can register a domain name through your hosting company. However, a less expensive way is through a company called Namecheap.com. However, if you register your domain through this company, you will need to then transfer it to your hosting company. In most cases, your hosting company will be happy to help you do this.
Build your site
Finally you will need to build a website. Most Internet marketers today build blogs that look like websites. The most common way by far to build one of these blogs is by using a tool called WordPress. If you choose to do this, you will need to install it on the server that hosts your website. However, this can be a very simple process. In the case of Hostgator, the company has a tool called Fantastico that lets you install WordPress literally by pressing a single button.
The reason why WordPress is so popular is because it is an "open source" product, meaning that it is free. Plus, there are dozens of people out there who have created add-on tools for Word press called plug-ins. These plug-ins make WordPress very flexible and very powerful so that you can automate many of the tasks associated with building and maintaining a blog.
Accomplish these four steps and you will be well on your way towards making $200 a week online or even more. It isn't totally simple but it is very simple, especially when compared with getting a second job that requires much, much more time and energy.
