Multi Level Marketing - New School Vs Old School

As I sit here and write this I could not help but remember the countless hours in which I have spent in trainings, hotel meetings, conference calls, etc. For anyone who is new or if you have been a part of multilevel marketing prior to now then I am certain that you know the drill.

1. Make a list of 100 names and numbers

2. Call those names and invite to a home meeting or private business reception

3. Out of that sampling you'll have some that join you, some results in being customers and others will say no.

4. Rinse and repeat for people who joined you.

This system has done well in the last 60 years that this industry has been around. This concept still does well for quite a few people today. There are a few flaws with this concept though, its not a really efficient kind marketing. Allow me to explain.

To start with, there exists a finite amount of folks that you may add to your list. From those just a few join you plus a few become your customer. What happened to the others that you just invited? From my experience, those individuals hardly return your calls once you contact them and with only time to heal the connection, do things return to normal with not a sense of awkwardness.

So, in essence, this is often a great way to alienate friends which do not share an identical business vision as you. Not simply have you lost friends, but you have left some bucks on the table as well. As you are are only offering one way to your friends and relatives needs, some become business partners, some customers plus the rest just slipped on by. When this procedure was first being taught, that was perfectly alright, there really wasn't any alternative.

Times have changed.

The online market place is a game changer in the multi-level marketing industry. In order to succeed in a gigantic way, than your marketing really ought to change with the times. Not anymore are your forced to troll malls and spring and attack as a lion on its prey when you see someone within a bookstore. You don't need to harass your associates until they are afraid approach you. You don't need to leave money on the table.

New School Multilevel marketing is combining Attraction marketing with traditional Multilevel marketing. The concepts are the same, but the way that you go about them are as different as racing a Model T against a Ferrari.

Here's the basics:

1. Build a List

2. Build a Relationship with that List

3. Monetize the List

4. Share a system that teaches others methods to do the same thing

Out of this list, some will join you, some may become customers additionally, the others will stay in your list. Your system will communicate with those people on autopilot.

Eventually, increasing your conversions on those who said no and could have slipped by before. This is when the web marketing and sharing a system will be. Internet Marketing can be taught. Building a list online can be as simple as marketing with articles, blogs, using Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, some kind of social media. You happen to be exposing your message into a much larger audience.

You just need to learn to push traffic towards a website and you can start building a list.
