1 - I picked a HIGHLY competitive niche. It had millions of monthly searches, and more importantly, had 4 or 5 affiliate programs that had BIG brand awareness, offline advertising campaigns and lots of "trust" (i.e. - I didn't have to "sell" an unknown quantity)

2 - I spent 90 minutes every night writing ARTICLES, much like this one, that did nothing other than educate people about PROBLEMS that many people faced (that the programs I liked above did a great job in helping solve) My goal was 3 articles a night... and I quickly learned that not only could I hit my goal fairly quickly and still create quality content, I actually could do a whole lot MORE as well. (I now can write an article in about 12 minutes and this one is a good example of just that)

3 - I registered a 99 CENT domain name

4 - I forwarded that domain DIRECTLY to the best performing, best known brand I picked in step 1

5 - In the call to action portion of my article, I used the URL I registered in step 3

6- I submitted my content on a nightly basis, when they were done, to the top 3 article directories (i made slight changes in each title to ensure each article was unique)

7 - I took a deep breath... crossed my fingers, and repeated this every night for about 21 days with NO expectations but with LOTS of hope... :-)

The net result was OVER $1000 in my very first month of using this approach. As a matter of fact, I think I came close to doubling it and I actually started seeing SALES within the very first week. (I remember being SHOCKED to see that my affiliate link had "hits" being registered on it when I logged in and checked my stats... and at that point, even THAT felt like a huge victory... :-)
