Overwhelmed and Distracted? Don't Be

When starting out with your new home based business there is usually a time when a feeling of being overwhelmed by all of the new things you will need to learn and to know occurs. I know I went through it and every other person I have spoken to in this business goes through it as well. The good news is that with time and diligence towards your business this feeling will pass. The better news is that these feelings will occur again and again. They will happen again and again because this is an ever changing business we are in. It is forever evolving, which means there will always be new things to learn and new techniques to know how to implement in your business. These are all good things and feeling overwhelmed is just a natural feeling and not something to be feared.

During these times it is very important to remain focused on the tasks at hand and move your business forward. It is very easy to get lost in distractions that will only lead to you not being able to reach your goals, and there are plenty of distractions out there. What happened in Haiti is truly devastating. If you have the means to help, please do so. I made my donation to the Red Cross and knowing that my donation goes directly to Haitian relief made it a true use of the money going there.

That being said, please do not let yourself get caught up in these other silly media blitzes. Tiger Woods will be just fine. Does it really matter that Jay Leno is going back to The Tonight Show? These are the sort of things that it is O.K. to give a passing glance to but they really are not worth your time. When I see these myself slipping into one of these time wasters I quickly remind myself of all the new information available to me and my business that will allow me to spend my time wisely on income producing activities. I would much rather have that feeling of being overwhelmed by new business strategies and techniques than worrying about the reduction in size of the pile of money Tiger will have to sleep on. I want my own pile!

The business model I use is constantly moving forward. All of the members have access to it and are always updating the content to help all of us to achieve what we set out to accomplish. That, for me, is the best part about the system I use for my business, I really get a sense of community. There is a constant exchange of ideas and this really has made it easier for me and others to get their businesses up and running in the way the thought it would and should.
