Positioning Yourself to Get More Sales Online For Your MLM

Most network marketers are involved with companies that sell wonderful products and services. And the problem with most network marketers is they try to sell everything about their business, service or product all at once.

Instead of selling what the customer's want, they sell the product, the company, the opportunity, etc. and customers don't want all of that.

I hear people tell me all the time that they get people to visit their site, but they don't seem to get any sales and they don't understand why.

The reason why they don't get any sales is because unless the visitor is familiar with the product or service, they don't know what to buy and most corporate websites are boiler plate websites that everyone receives.

They don't tell a story or allow the visitor to get engaged in any way with the product or service.

Here's the solution:

Pick one to five of the best products that your company has to offer. From that list pick your favorite item and build a website or BLOG promoting that one product. For example, if that product is a moisturizer for the skin. You will then begin to brainstorm who might be your typical customer interested in that particular niche market.

You will ask yourself the question? What problem does this product solve?

Your answers might be as follows:

My moisturizer for the skins solves the problem of:

� People with dry skin
� People who want to look young
� People who want to feel good about themselves
� People want to appear ageless
� People who to look better than others

Now when you build your website or BLOG, you will begin to build it around those key words or search terms:

Dry skin, look and feel younger, look better than your friends, get an ageless face, get flawless skin, etc. I'm sure you're getting the point here.

When you build your website, it will be a 1 page sales letter that will tell the story of why your product is the best. You will explain what your skin was like in the past, and how you've used the product and what it has done for your skin and how in the future you will never have dry skin.

Remember the formula of past, present and future.

You will also want to get some of your customers to give you testimonies of their experience with the product.

Most importantly, you will want to offer a FREE Report such as a "Your Guide to Flawless Skin", to capture the lead.

Offering a FREE report or guide is important because it will give you the opportunity capture your visitors name and e-mail address and if they don't buy at that time, you can market to them so they can buy in the future.

You will load the sales page up with content and information that caters to the keywords that you suggested. (This is where a website from Site Build It might come into play) Some of your headlines in the web page will represent your keywords. For example when people scan your web page you want them to see headlines that say:

You will look 10 years younger
Get Flawless Skin
Kiss Dry Skin Good-Bye

All of these headlines will pull on the emotional triggers that will prompt visitors to buy. When your visitors decide to buy, you can then either link them up directly to your website from your company or you can get your own merchant account and take the sale yourself and then manually place the order with your company.

Linking up to your company's website shopping cart is good because the sale goes directly to the company and you will get immediate credit for it. The downside is the fact that their will be a transition from one site to the other and it will most likely feel as if they've been linked to a different website because of the different look and feel.

Getting your own merchant account and shopping cart is good because you can upsell to your customers and offer them additional products or services and it is a seamless and the customer will feel as if they're buying from you.

Once you've done this, you can go to the traffic section of this e-book and decide how you're going to drive traffic to your website on dry skin.

This is the only way that you will get NEW online customers to buy from your site. The only people that buy from corporate template websites are your old customers that know and use the product already or other people's customers who happen to find your website.

You can create a mini website or a BLOG. It's up to you. My suggestion is to create a WordPress BLOG. This will allow you to monetize it and make it more search engine friendly. Blogs today can be hosted the same way you would do with a regular website and there are themes that you can use that are so flexible, you couldn't even tell the difference.
