Research is the Key to Internet Business Success

Take that lovely, gleaming motor car on the second-hand car lot. You can examine all parts of it and still not be sure that you're getting a genuine bargain. Even the service log can be bought on the internet now, showing all sorts of extra services the car is supposed to have had.

You can't even be sure that the food you buy in the shops actually came from the place shown on the package, let alone when it was harvested.

You could do a bit of research. Well, OK, a lot of research!

Now, how do you go about your research? Click on Google? Write letters to the marketing company?

You'll probably have to wait for an answer longer than it takes the food to get to your table or until the car tyres need changing! And even then, you may not be any nearer the truth.

You see, the nearest the ordinary person can get to the truth on these subjects is about as close as they can get to the Queen when she's on the balcony of Buckingham Palace!

So if you cannot easily get to the truth about these everyday things, what chance does your everyday man or woman have of finding out the truth about adverts on the internet? Most of the time you just have to take a risk.

But you can make it an educated risk!

Fortunately, the majority of offers online are genuine enough in the sense that you usually get the information that you have paid for. What is more problematic, of course, is the usefulness of the information you receive. Was it really what you thought it was going to be? Yes, it does what it said it would, but often it's not what you actually had hoped for. D'you know what I mean?

Here's how you can minimise the risks that you take.

Go into the details of the offer:

(1) Can you get your money back if it doesn't work for you?

(2) Are there ready made adverts or suggestions for marketing available?

(3) Does it look as though the owner has made a real effort to provide you with the tools to help you make money?

(4) Is there a way in which you can get in touch with the owner to ask questions?

(5) Is there a long term commitment by the owner to give you the backing that you will need?

I know you shouldn't expect something for nothing and you'd be rather naive to expect to get �1,000s for doing very little. (Not like some politicians I could mention! But that's another story.) But surely you should be able to expect that, with the information provided and a fair bit of work from yourself, some sort of return should be forthcoming quite soon after you start.

(6) Does the owner use the product to make money?

(7) Are other people making money from using the system?

If the answer to most, say 5 out of 7, of the questions above is 'yes', try the system out. If there are fewer 'yes' answers, then you would be wise to look elsewhere to make your fortune!
