Starting a Business Involves a Lot of Programming

We are in the process of starting a new business and are going through the steep learning curve that is involved. Luckily, we have friends with a lot of experience and expertise, and they have been a lot of help in showing us how to get the corporation legally registered, getting our tax documents in place, and filling in a lot of the blanks. Some things, we have discovered are far easier than we thought they would be, while others are definitely more complicated. It has been a lot of fun, but there is a fair amount of stress involved, and I have to remind myself that we are in no rush and have plenty of time to make sure that everything is in place.

One thing that I have been running up against is document and database creation. I can put some simple things together, but from what I have been learning, we are going to need some solutions that are far more complex. Once those solutions are in place, they will make everything a lot easier. The problem is, these things were mostly unforeseen and need to be taken care of before we can move things to the next level.

I will need to find a programmer to put together a database that can also handle the distribution and recording of work items, and it would also be nice to have our documents for certain projects completely automated as well. Once those things are done, we will be ready to roll indeed.
