Starting A Home Business - The Keys To Finally Breaking Free From Your 9-5 Job

If you have been thinking about starting a home business but aren't sure where to start or even when to start, there really is no better time than today to get moving. Starting your own online home based business won't make you rich overnight, but with the right plan and the right guidance from someone who's already done it, you can definitely make starting your own home business and quitting your job a reality.

In order to make this all a reality, you have to start somewhere, and below I have outlined the five things I wish I'd have known when I started my online business, as they would have significantly helped me to get more results in much less time:

#1 - Have a plan

You absolutely have to have a plan for what you will do, how you will do it, and when you plan on earning enough money to be able to quit your current job. Write down your goals and develop a daily plan-of-action for making them happen in the long-run.

#2 - Give yourself lots of time

You will need to give yourself lots of time to achieve success with your online home based business, so don't expect to be able to quit your current job in the near future, instead give yourself a timeline like one year for you to build your business to the point where you can do whatever you want.

#3 - Move in the right direction daily

The key to reaching goals is to move towards them consistently, so whether you have 5 hours or 5 minutes to work on building your business everyday, be sure to do something daily that helps get you closer to reaching your online business goals.

#4 - Use motivational tools to stay on track

Be sure to reward yourself for reaching your short-term goals, so when you make your first sale, when you finish writing your first ebook, be sure to reward yourself for making those great steps towards achieving your business goals.

#5 - Never give up

The biggest reason people fail is because they give up too quickly. As mentioned earlier, you should give yourself lots of time to reach your online business goals, and the reason for this is because it really does take lots of time for big success. Be sure to make a deal with yourself that you will keep going no matter how long it takes, because the real key to success is to never quit.
