Alright I'll get right to it. Celebrate your victories!!

If you have had a bad day, bad week or bad month you are probably not celebrating your victories! A little bit of celebration and positivity goes a LONG way! When you are trying to run a business it is easy to be down about profits, sales or leads and everything may not seem like its "enough." Maybe you feel like you could be doing more or you think nothing is working. These feelings are completely normal and they happen to even the most successful top earners.

Celebrating your victories helps you feel and see what your future could look like. If you take those happy memories and feelings from your past and keep them in mind when you are doing your marketing, videos, blogging, affirmations or other daily activities you're energy will be positive J.

It may sound silly but imagine a world where nobody smiled; you probably wouldn't smile either and would carry around a frown around the town. Think of what you do when someone smiles at you, chances are you smile back and you feel a little bit better for a moment. Remember that thoughts lead to actions and the more times you celebrate your victories, the more times you will feel happy and positive, the more times you will think about those victories and the more effort you will put yourself through to achieve more of those victories. Your energy and eagerness for celebration will show in your productivity and work content. Soon, having victories will be normal if you let your thoughts and actions take you there.

This morning my fianc�e and I did our little happy dance celebration because we made another sale. Maybe next time I'll videotape it. It was pretty funny and very silly but we were both happy and have had a very productive day because we are now even more motivated to make more sales, celebrate more and continue the pattern.

Make sure you celebrate everything you can. I don't care if you made $3 or 2 leads! If you don't celebrate the small stuff, you will always focus on "what else you need to do" or "what's not working" and you will get down, be unmotivated and not do or try your best.

Keep it positive, have fun and celebrate your darn victories! The more you think positive the more achievements will come your way.

Top home based businesses provide excellent customer service because they know the value and importance of their customers, so they treat them with the dignity and respect that they deserve.

Customers are very valuable to all businesses and home businesses are no exception. Therefore they should be treated with respect, dignity and professionalism.

When dealing with your customers, think about the times when you were not treated well, such as when you went into a store and were ignored or the staff were rude to you. How did you feel? Did you go back to that store?

The same applies to your customers. When they come to you to purchase your products or service, you should always greet them warmly, no matter how you are feeling personally. A warm, happy smile and lovely greeting always works wonders. They may be already in a sad or bad mood because of other circumstances so they would appreciate a bright, happy face - they do not want to be greeted with a grumpy person. Do not burden them with your own troubles as they probably have enough of their own.

If you are busy with another customer or on the phone when the customer walks in, do not ignore them. Excuse yourself from your current customer for a moment, turn to the new customer and acknowledge them and let them know that you will soon be with them. If you are on the phone then look directly at the customer, smile at them and give them an indication that you will be with them shortly. It is so rude to simply ignore your customers to chat to others or do other work; after all, they are there to give you business and not the other way around.

Treat them as if they were the only person in the world, and, in fact they are, at that particular time, they only one for you.

If the customer has a bad experience with you, not only will they not come back, but they will tell others of their experience so you will lose future prospective customers. Word of mouth advertising is the best method available to get customers so you do not want to waste one opportunity.

Always answer the telephone within 5 rings as there is nothing worse for a customer to hear that ring-ring-ring again and again. If it goes on too long then they will assume that no one is there and hang up - never to return. They will then simply ring your competitor. Your greeting should be a happy, pleasant and welcoming one. Have a smile on your face when you answer as this does reflect in your voice. Ensure that the tone of your voice is pleasant too - do not be grumpy and do not proceed to tell them what a bad day you are having as they are probably having one too.

Follow up on promises to get back to customers when you say you will. It is imperative that promises that are made are kept. If you know that you will not be able to get back to them, then do not say you will. Always do everything you say in a professional and timely manner.

If you do not have the goods or service that the customer wants or needs at that particular time you may want to direct them to where they can get them. This may not seem a good idea; however, you will reap the rewards later.

Do not try to make too much money out of the customer. Ask the customer what they need and listen very carefully so that you can provide them with the ideal solution.

Customers will appreciate you so much more if you try to work out a solution for them that will save them money in the long run. For example, say you sell computers, then do not sell them the dearest model that has all the bells and whistles on it that they never need, instead inform them that a cheaper model would be better for them because as they do not have a need for these items it is better for them not to pay precious money for these options. We all appreciate it when salespeople actually look after how much comes out of our wallets and how much stays in.

The most important way to have good customer service is to treat your customers in the manner in which you like to be treated.

How to Stay Positive With Your Online Business

How to stay positive with your online business is something all online marketers must learn to do. I have been working online now for around 5 years and have developed some skills and daily rituals that have helped me stay positive and stay focused.

Every morning I think about all the good things that happened the day before and focus on them. I also tell myself that I am a top internet marketer who makes more money in a month than most people do in a year.

I use to work in direct sales on a commission only basis. Basically every Monday, I was unemployed until I got my next sale.

Sales whether online or offline is a numbers game. So if you present your product or service to enough people in the month you will get sales.

But it is easy to get disheartened. If I was having a bad day out on the road and not selling anything. I used to give myself a good talking too and remind myself that we all have good days and bad days and that tomorrow is another day and will be much better than today.

If you can counter any negativity in sales you can be a big hitter in whatever area you are working in. One of the ways I tackle negativity is this. If I am having a bad day and not achieving much and start thinking "this is pointless" or " this is never going to work" I imagine a large stop sign dropping down in front of me. I then say to myself 10 times" I am a top internet marketer and I never give up".

I then replace the negative scene I had in my head with something successful from my past. It can be anything that you had success with that motivates you.

Control your mind its fertile and will grow whatever you plant in it.

Journals - A Powerful Ally!

For many years I have been keeping journals and what started as simple means of airing my thoughts suddenly became the back-bone of my goal setting and book writing strategies.

But why should the entrepreneur keep a Journal?

Well to be honest, your journal can become your closest confident. If you've had a bad day with your home based business, you can tell your journal by writing it down and expressing your innermost concerns, safe in the knowledge that it won't tell anyone else.

It's your sounding board.

Often times, I write thoughts and plans in my journal and when I write these things down, other ideas begin to flow. It's as if the journal is speaking back to me.

A journal can preserve your fondest and darkest memories for retrieval later. Having recorded my life experience, I wrote and published my first book and you can do the same.

It forms the basis of a legacy.

I continued writing my journals because I wanted future generations to be able to see what life was like in my day and that the reader can achieve anything they set their minds to.

The beauty of keeping journals as opposed to a diary is that the journal doesn't make you feel guilty for missing a days entry. It's ready when you are. And when I make an entry, I put the date at the top and give the entry a title.
When the journal is finished I put the first and last dates on the spine and shelve it in chronological order.
