A Few Ideas for Making Money With Your Digital Camera

Many business opportunities that you can start and run from your own home are simply reactive. That is, you have to wait for someone to contact you before you can make money.

Using your digital camera is certainly not reactive in that sense.

Strictly speaking, I suppose, it's wrong to call making money with your digital camera a home business opportunity at all, since most of the time you are out and about searching for great photographs to take.

One of the many ways to ride around taking photos and getting paid to do it is to become a 'Field Inspector.

No, I didn't know what it was either until a short while ago.

If you drive for your current job and want some extra income, then this is ideal.

How do you make some money?

Well insurance companies, etc. need people to be able to take specific pictures and, depending on the area you live in, you could expect to be contacted on a regular basis. You agree the location and then pop along and take some photos. Send them off by email and get paid.

More conventional ways of using your camera to make money are:

(1) Upload your photographs to 'paid for' sites on the internet.

Thousands of people are looking to use photos on their websites every single day.

Most will, of course, try to get their pictures for nothing, but a substantial number will want specialist photographs that they are willing to pay for. This is where you come in to make a good living. You can specialise or generalise. It's entirely up to you and what you feel comfortable doing.

(2) Another way is to advertise your services for weddings, etc. A small advert in a local paper is all it takes and word of mouth will do the rest of the advertising for you. Don't forget to advertise your business every time you go to a function.

(3) If you're a sports fan and regularly support your local team, then you've a ready-made opportunity. The club, the local newspaper, even national papers all look for great action photos.

Keep your camera at the ready and keep clicking.

(4) Finally, when you're on holiday I'm sure you take the usual photos. Well if you think a little bit about it, travel companies are always on the lookout for interesting and unusual views of places. Use your imagination and search out the different angle on an area or building. Send your photos off to travel companies and you never know, they may very well commission you to go somewhere exotic to take some photos for them!

Once you get started with one little money earner, I'm sure you'll find other possibilities keep popping up. Just keep taking photographs and make the money.

Talking Heads 04: Setting Up the Camera

Producing a video for general release that gets results is serious business. Thus, one would want to follow Best Practices standards to make sure that the finished tool appears professional. A common problem is that technology and applications are changing so fast that the all-powerful Video Gurus haven't had time to make out their list of what those practices might be.

So, we're all somewhat on our own; which is really a good thing. We can each choose cameras that produce good looking video compared to other talking head videos which are already out there. No one need purchase $50k cameras and complex lighting and audio gear. Most talking head videos will do just fine being recorded with a late model, higher end, HD web cam; with a couple of caveats.

The standard web cam setup clips on one's computer monitor which is usually too close to the talent. More distance is required from lens to face in order to avoid Big Nose Syndrome. Big Nose Syndrome is what the curvature of the lens does to a human nose when the face is too close to the lens. But, simply rolling the desk chair back away from the computer monitor on which the camera is clipped also moves the speaking voice further from the mic than was intended. Thus, echoey noises and unclear dialogue.

Backing off just enough to reduce the Big Nose Syndrome, yet stay close enough to the mic for relatively clear audio is the trick. Like all things new, run some tests to see how you do. If you have an alternative audio source that will work simultaneously with your web cam, it would better to use it instead of the webcam's onboard mic. A headset mic, or shotgun mic from off camera are almost certainly to produce better quality audio than the webcam's mic. Because the point of talking head videos is more the dialogue than the visual element, more care should be taken in making sure the audio is clear.

The head can either fill the screen (not my personal choice) or portray a head and shoulders shot.

To save time, you could go out and purchase a camera that renders its finished product in web ready file extensions like FLV, MPG, etc. We simply upload virtually any video we shoot to the EZWeb server and let the embedded EZWeb Tool render out the best current format. This certainly simplifies things.

Generate Income With Your Camera

Who doesn't need to earn some extra income in this economy? Using your passion for photography can help you supplement your income or can make you a full time living.

There are a lot of different ways to earn money with a camera.

Senior Pictures: Everyone knows of somebody who is graduating from high school at any given time. It might be a cousin, your friend's child, niece or nephew, or a little brother or sister. Once you get your first client, then you can build a portfolio. Getting referrals is pretty simple, word of mouth travels fast.

Weddings: This is a tough area to start off with. More experienced photographers can make a great living from weddings but they come with a high level of stress. Work your way up to weddings by doing anniversary parties, graduation parties, and portraits.

Family Portraits: Know of any families? You can go to your neighbor's and offer to take a family photograph for free. If you do a good job, you will get referrals. Also, they will hang the photo in their house which is advertising for when guests are over.

Real Estate: When the housing market is struggling, people want the best advertising they can get from their real estate agent. I used to be a Realtor, and some agents took the worst pictures. They didn't know how to take quality photos and did not own the right equipment. Something as simple as a wide angle lens will help buyer's visualize the home. You can offer a service to real estate agents to take photos of their listings. Top agents are usually too busy trying to generate more business so they will gladly pay somebody to take high quality photos for them.

Generating income with photography can be fun and rewarding. Compared to other businesses, there are not a lot of start up costs and overhead. You may end up supplementing your income, or you might turn this into the career you have always dreamed of.

My wife supplements our income by taking senior pictures and family portraits. She is able to bring in extra money even while taking care of our small children due to the flexibility of this business.

If you have a passion for photography and have some skills, this might be a great business opportunity.

Even in a tough economy, quality photographs are important to people. To get started earning money doing something you love [http://www.squidoo.com/photography-business-from-home]CHECK THIS OUT

Make Money With A Camera

Learn how to make money with your camera, it's easier than you could ever imagine.

Earn over $1,200 per month with your digital camera just by following the simple steps in this article!

Imagine... You are with your family, having a good time and you decide you want to capture those "special" moments.

So, what do you do? Take out your camera and merrily snap away.

Now, the great thing about a digital camera, as opposed to a conventional camera with film, is that you can keep the pictures that you like and just delete the rest, right?

Well how about, you keep the ones you want and make money from the ones you don't? Does that sound too good to be true? Well it's for real!

There are companies in the www. world, who will pay small fortunes for the right picture, and quite often, what seems like a poor or irrelevant picture to you, someone else will pay handsomely for.

Bare in mind however, that the quality of the picture has to be good and your camera must be at least 2 mega pixel.

There is an endless demand for pictures, the key is to know what type of pictures people are looking for and who to sell them to...

At present, they are looking for:

Groups of teenagers enjoying themselves
Iconic landmarks
Winter snow scenes and scenes of all seasons
Board rooms and business meetings
And lots more.

They Do Not want:

Your cute little puppy, they are swamped with them
Your cute baby, they are just as swamped with those
A lovely sunset (unless there is an interesting subject in the foreground) they have more sunsets than you could shake a stick at!

But they definitely do want pictures which are fun, lively and spontaneous. Be Creative!

There are pictures that are making in excess of $300 per month for their owners and if one picture can earn $300 per month, just imagine how much you could earn if you were to go out of your way to take pictures every time you go anywhere!

With just half a dozen pictures you could be earning $1,800 a month.

All of a sudden, making money with your camera seems easier than you imagined, right?

And what's more, it costs absolutely nothing to start! Upload your pictures, submit them completely free of charge, and then get paid for it, no risk!!

Now I'm not suggesting that every picture you take will sell and I'm not suggesting that every picture you sell is going to be worth this amount but, keep snapping, keep uploading, keep submitting and before too long you will have a good number of pictures paying you a residual income, month after month!

Now, go take a look at your hard drive, your digital camera, your memory sticks and even your camera phone for those unwanted photos; they could be making you money right now!

What are you waiting for??

Best of luck with your new business, now go and take some great photos and visit http://www.cash-camera.com to find out what to do with them.

Digital Photography Business From Home

The invention of the digital camera and editing software has made starting a Digital Photography Business fairly simple and inexpensive.

The good news is that a lot of people may not personally know a photographer. When I was a Realtor, most of my family and friends already knew a real estate agent (or many) which made generating business tough.

When my wife decided to get into photography, we realized that most of our family and friends didn't personally know a photographer. Asking for business in photography is much different than asking for real estate business (this applies to mortgage or insurance brokers, too). When you ask to list someone's house, they might feel that you are hounding them. It is much easier to ask your friends and family to use you to take pictures of their special events.

You do need some equipment to get started but you don't need to spend a lot of money to start. You can always borrow a camera or buy a used one to start.

For portraits, weddings, etc. you will need a DSLR camera. The DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex) camera is the best of both worlds. It has the versatility of using different lenses like a film SLR camera but you don't have the expense and hassle of film. Film cameras still have their place but digital cameras are great if you are trying to make a living with portrait or wedding photography. Also, you know right away if you took a quality picture or captured a special moment.

Unlike a "point and shoot" digital camera, a DSLR will snap pictures quickly even in low light. This is crucial for capturing special moments at a wedding or an anniversary party.

Being able to edit your photos with a computer program such as Photoshop allows you to turn a decent photo into a good one. Plus, some of your clients will want you to edit out braces or even blemishes on their face. With one click, you can turn a picture black and white. With a little knowledge you can turn a picture black and white and color specific items in the photo. These techniques will impress your clients.

Having a website to show off your work is great but you can even find companies such as Smugmug that will host your photos for a fee. Eventually you will want your own website but you don't have to start out with one.

Pricing can be a little tricky to figure out. For senior portraits you will want to get a sitting fee (to cover your time and driving). Then you need to figure out what to charge for different sizes of photos. My wife and I looked at some of the pricing for the big photo companies and copied what they charge. When you get more established you can charge more. A lot of people don't really know what they should be paying due to the fact that they may only get photos done once a year or every couple of years.

If you enjoy taking pictures and are looking for a flexible career, photography might be a perfect fit for you.

My wife supplements our income by taking senior pictures and family portraits. She is able to bring in extra money even while taking care of our small children due to the flexibility of this business.

If you have a passion for photography and have some skills, this might be a great business opportunity.

Sell Pics Online for Work

You read that right. You can sell pics online indeed. Ever since the digital camera has made itself a purchasable product, people have embraced it warmly. No longer is the camera solely for 'the photographer', but it is something to be enjoyed by everyone. If you are smart enough, do not just enjoy the benefits of the point and shoot camera. Instead, take advantage of it and earn money. Before setting up your studio though, you have to plan and strategize for your business. Know your camera by heart. Nicely put, those manuals are there for a reason. Read them. Your camera settings are vital to the quality of the pictures you will take. Even if you can work at home, it does not mean that you can compromise the quality of the pictures you take. Remember that a bad picture will rarely sell. Cut back on the Adobe Photoshop editing because treated photos are detectable. Also, be prepared with back-up memory cards for your work. You would not want to lose a project because of corrupted files.

There are websites that offer both amateur and professional photographers a way to earn through stock photography. The deal is that you shoot certain subjects - no matter how simple or grand - in different and flattering angles, and post these in stock photography websites to sell them. Eventually, businesses will specifically order for pictures that meet their demands. These photos should be perfect. Digital noise is automatically a turn-off. Unless the stock photography websites state that your account should be exclusively theirs, you can also submit your other works to other websites. Imagine your surprise if you get a rain of checks in the mail! Read the terms of agreement clearly before signing up for an account.

For assignment photography (portrait, advertising, events), where the client asks you what they need exactly, do not be fussy. Use these events to practice and add to your collection for your stock photography website account. This way, your probabilities of earning money are not limited to either method. If you are particularly outstanding in a certain type of photography, you can focus or choose to branch out by testing your limits by taking on different fields. Do not restrict yourself to portrait or landscape photography because there are so many turfs you can enter. This way, you can have an enormous selection of pictures that will surely generate income sooner than later.

Never stop taking pictures, just as you should not stop learning new techniques. Study different styles and invest in better equipment - or at least a second camera to be prepared for those emergency low-battery moments. Just like mastering a musical instrument or any other trade, practice always makes perfect. Though you have chosen to make photography as a business, never forget that it is an art, and art requires heart. Sell pics online and make a living while doing something you are fond of doing. So set up that tripod and shoot pictures to your heart's content.

You Can Make Money With Camera Now!

Are you a struggling artist who cannot seem to find a place in the corporate world? Or do you need money, but you simply do not want to leave home because of your family? You have tried working those online jobs, but they are too technical for your liking and you wonder, is there a way to earn money without having to beat deadlines and get your brain in a clutter? There is a way! A big thanks to the fast-paced technology of today, photography has been made a commodity that is for everyone. Digital cameras are very affordable and one would just have to learn the basic instructions to operate it and voila -great pictures are made with much convenience. Yes, it is possible - you can make money with camera. With a camera, you can make photography a profession and earn money.

If you do not think you have 'a good eye', maybe you are just snapping pictures the wrong way. There are certain tips you have to remember when engaging in photography - even if you are using the user-friendliest digital camera in existence. When you take a picture, remember that you are aiming to capture a moment that hopefully, would not need the help of digital treatment in order to make it look professional. First things first -know the value of light. Light is what makes or breaks a picture. Know where to set your camera's ISO setting and shutter speed. You do not want a photo to be too bright or too dim. Remember that you are always trying to capture a moment the way you see it. It is up to your light treatment abilities to make a picture work or not. The next thing you have to keep in mind is the golden rule of photography: The Rule of Thirds. This means that when you take a picture of a certain subject, you must visualize the image under a perfectly proportional tic-tac-toe board. Instead of putting Os and Xs, you make sure that the key elements are located on these lines or intersections. This ensures that people would find the photograph enticing and not necessarily flat and dull.

You can set up your own photography studio at home. You can accept assignments and shoot events, holidays and special occasions. If you want to earn money online, you can collect many pictures and upload them on stock photography sites and get paid for those pictures. Companies usually take advantage of these online sources as they are cheaper than hiring a professional photographer. This is a particular area where freelancers actually have an advantage! If this idea gives you butterflies in the stomach, you might just have to trust your gut and give this business venture a try. So practice first, take a walk outside and snap away. You just might fall in love with photography and earn money for those astonishing pictures. So really, nothing is impossible for you to make money with camera!

Make Money With Your Camera - No Expertise Required!

Have you got a digital camera of 2 mega pixel or more? Would you like to make some extra money from a simple part-time activity? Did you even know there are hundreds of companies around the country that are looking for people like you? Major companies like lending and leasing companies often need simple tasks done in your locality and all it takes is a digital camera and access to the internet.

Lending and leasing companies often need up dated information on homes and other assets such as trucks and cars they have an interest in and it is simply not economic for them to have representatives everywhere so they get local freelancers to take photos and sometimes perform other easy tasks like measuring a property's boundaries.

You can easily see the need here if you just look at how many lending companies there are, all operating from centralised offices in one of the major cities. They obviously cannot afford to fly a representative to the other side of the country or state to take a few pictures and simple measurements! Now just think of all the people in your own area who would make lending enquiries day in day out and you can see the potential!

The tasks are simple and the paperwork to go with it is mainly online form-filling, it is all so quick and easy that there are many freelancers doing several of these little tasks daily and making hundreds of dollars per day to do so. You need little equipment, there is no requirement for qualifications, in fact this is something almost anybody over 18 can do, it suits part-time income seekers, work from home moms, retirees and more.

So - got a digital camera and internet access? What are you waiting for!

Make Money With Your Camera The Smart Way

There are countless ways to make money with your camera, but one method stands head and shoulders above the rest. And it uses the same formula the wealthiest folks use to amass their fortunes.

The difference between really wealthy people and the rest is that wealthy folk create assets which continue to pay them an income long after they have finished working to create the asset.

That neatly avoids the limitation of selling your time for cash, which is what the vast majority do when they have a job. There are two fatal flaws with a job.

Fatal Flaw # 1: There are a finite number of hours available for working.

Fatal Flaw #2: When you stop working your income stops. And that applies just as much to the lawyer or doctor as it does to the guy who collects their trash.

So let's see how Bill Gates -- at one time, the world's richest man -- does it.

He has spent his working life creating assets, in the form of his Windows software. Not only has it made him extremely wealthy, it has now allowed him to retire from the business to concentrate on giving his billions to various good causes.

And -- on a more modest scale -- you can make money from your camera by modeling your business on the success of Bill Gates and other wealth creators, by making the right choice about how to market your photographs. So, just as Windows software is created once and sold again and again, you need to take a photograph just once, yet get paid again and again.

Fortunately, there is an almost insatiable demand for photographs on virtually any subject. This comes from people setting up web sites, creating blogs, writing ebooks or making videos. In addition, the off line world also wants photographs for printed material and other uses.

So all you need do is allow photo libraries (also called stock photo sites) to offer your photographs to this hungry crowd for a fee. And they do all the work of showing your photographs to prospective customers and collecting all their payments, from which you get a commission ranging from 20% - 80%.

So -- apart from dropping the check into your bank every month -- you have nothing more to do other than enjoy your passive income. That leaves you free to shoot more photos to create even more income streams.

And the money made by your camera -- even from a single photograph -- can be very attractive. Here are a few case studies:

Case Study #1.
One photograph of a group of people silhouetted against a sunset was bought 1135 times in its very first month of being published, netting its owner $885.30.

Case Study #2.
Even the most mundane subject can be turned into a money spinner. For example, a photograph of just grass, made its owner a cool $638.04 in its very first month.

Case Study #3.
Many photographs provide their owners with attractive and regular monthly incomes, such as a photo of a business meeting, which provides an average income of $479.41 a month or a photo of a family group paddling on the seashore, which makes, on average, $369.20 per month.

So imagine if you had 15 or 20 photographs bringing you a regular, automatic income every month, whilst you enjoy your new found wealth -- and seek out more photo opportunities.

To maximize your camera money, you need to know the types of photographs that are not in demand, so you don't waste precious time taking photos only to have them rejected. Instead, you need to know what photos are in greatest demand and what subjects each photo library specializes in.That way you can be sure of success when you decide to make money from your camera.

Everything you need to [http://www.internetmarketingmagician.com/make-money-with-your-camera/index.html]make money with your camera is ready for you now. [http://www.internetmarketingmagician.com/make-money-with-your-camera/index.html]Click here to get started today

The How to on Starting a Low Cost Security Business

We have recently fitted CCTV to our house mainly to watch the car and the van but there was also something winding up my chickens early in the morning..... This made me no friends at all! Turned out to be a cat but that's another story. To be honest when we started looking into security cameras we didn't have a clue the only thing we did know (after three quotes) was we were looking at about 700 for 4 cameras and a hard drive.

I know it doesn't sound a lot for a security system but at the end of the day it's just 4x cameras a few pieces of wire and a hard drive with a plug socket to power it all. If you have a look around the big DIY stores, you will see that 4x camera cctv packages cost around 300, you get pretty much what we were being quoted for and you save yourself 400.

It took me no more than a day to put my system up and that was with all the ducting i used to tidy the wire up. Imagine if that third and final quote had been for 550, i would have snapped his arm off there and then! Without being greedy he would have netted himself around 200 for a day's work (300 for the cameras and 50 for nice ducting).

To set up a business like this it's pretty simple, you don't need to be an electrician as the equipment comes with plugs and sockets. All you simply do is think about where the cameras are going to go, get up there and drill some small holes, put up the camera, connect and run the cable from the camera to the hard drive, check it's all working well, put the wire away inside the ducting to make it look nice and collect your cash.

The most important thing in this job apart from the quality of the installation is your image!!! You will have to convey quality, professionalism and honesty. Remember people are letting you in their houses to fit security, they want to be able to trust that you're not going to be coming back to rob them. I believe with this type of business appearance is everything, appearance of your vehicle, appearance of your website, appearance of your business card but most importantly the appearance of you!!

I wouldn't show up in a hoody because that will fit the wrong stereo-type and put people off. I would aim for a clean set of black overalls or black trousers a shirt and a tie. Dress like a security guard because it psychologically reassures people as to what you do, it may sound a bit like we are trying to con them but were not! We just have to start somewhere in an industry that is very personal to people. Put yourself in your customer's shoes all the time.... what would you want to see???

Clip boards are always a good idea as well, they are handy for keeping all your papers and a pen close to hand, and the biggest selling point for me is that they look professional especially when you team them up with a brief case.

As for getting started you will need;

A vehicle (doesn't have to be a van but is preferred).
Some ladders (steps and long reach).
A good cordless drill (and a few spare batteries).
Hand tools (hacksaw for ducting, screwdrivers, hammer, pencil)
 Business cards.
Web site (you could use a free one).
Some magnetic signs for your car/van (30ish)

I would also look to put an advert in your local paper for a special offer, something along the lines of special offer four cameras for 500 in September. Then deliver leaflets to as many houses as you can without the offer on but telling them to check the papers for special offers, this builds instant credibility and gets people looking for you. When you do get a job it is very important that you leaflet drop the surrounding area, people will give you more of chance if they can see someone else trusts you.

Remember this is a 'trust service' they have to trust you to do a good job and trust you in their house. DO NOT ever talk about previous installations or where on a house you put cameras.

If you already have the vehicle you wish to use, this business may only cost you 200 to set up including advertising.

Why not try getting some stickers made that say "you are on camera" fitted by joe blogs call 01547******* for a free quote, to put on the front door so people know they are on camera and where they can get them from if they ever need them. Another way is to get your own "we do not buy anything from cold caller" signs with your logo's and details on and give them out to all your customers.

I hope you found this interesting, if you would like to see some other ideas for low cost business start ups, feel free to visit my blog. New business ideas are posted daily. http://serialbusinessstarter.blogspot.com/
