The Merry-Go Round Of Online Businesses

According to Google search, there are a few million people every month looking for information about starting online businesses. Most of those people have no idea how to set up an online business and do not know where to start, they just know they have a passion and wish to capitalize upon it. They spin in circles and make no progress toward their goal of starting a business online. They feel as though they are on an endless merry go round.

The merry go round of online business typically starts with a Google or Yahoo! Search using keywords such as "Online business" or "work from home". Then they get hit with a barrage of ads promising to solve their problems make them six figures in a few months without much effort at all. The searcher might navigate from one ad to another, and if they feel brave enough, even enter their details into an opt-in box to receive some sort of free information.

The trouble is that most of those websites don't actually say what the business opportunity actually is or how much it will cost to invest in it. This raises suspicion and people generally do not proceed further as they are most likely a bit sceptical already anyway. But for those who are brave enough to look further they are undoubtedly bombarded with countless success stories and pictures of flashy cars and homes and propositioned the "opportunity of a lifetime".

Now, I am not saying that all these people do not own this wealth but the likelihood that the "average Joe" will be as successful as the millionaire who gave his testimonial on how he made it big is highly unlikely. This is especially true if they have no Internet or online marketing experience.

Instead of hyping a get rich quick potential, the ethical marketing message to the prospective entrepreneur should actually be:

Do not apply unless you are prepared to invest into the business
You must be coached and trained in order to be successful and this will definitely take time.
You will have your ups and downs and you will often feel like giving it all up and getting a job instead.
You need to be able to talk to and connect with people otherwise it just won't work.
It may take many months or years to make decent money.
Unless you purchase a lot of training programs, DVD's or motivational types of materials, you will probably give up.

These would just be some of the warnings that should be communicated as an accompaniment to the detailed information about the company and products they would be representing.

At the point, the aspiring entrepreneur will typically choose a company to work with, purchase a product or two from them and start trying to make sales. They initially get excited about what they are doing and promptly tell all their friends and family about their new venture. Their attempts to get them to join up to quickly land them in the "NFL (No Friends Left) Club".

Quite soon, after making they make a few if any sales, people often think "it is too hard" or "it didn't work" and call it quits.

The reality is, unless you love what you are doing or have the potential to make a lot of money with high ticket items, you just won't continue pursuing the world of online businesses. If people are not defeated at this stage either by their lack of success or their family and friends putting the hard word on them, then they will try another company thinking that their product, service or payment plan is better and they may make money that way.

The truth is, unless you follow your passion and do what you love to do, it turns out to be just like a job except without the regular pay packet. So you first need to find your passion for what you love to do. Once you have worked out what your passion is then you need to search for a business that revolves around that, or even better start your own business based around your passion.

For example, let's say you are passionate about keeping fit and healthy, then your online business should be based around that. If you are to join a company, you shouldn't focus on selling websites, you should focus on selling items based around fitness and nutrition.

If you are a car enthusiast and you spend the whole week talking about cars, going to car races, and have car pictures all over your office wall, then why would you join a company that sells vitamins? It makes sense really doesn't it? Surely you would look for a business based around your passion for cars or start your own business where you can market products associated with cars.

If we all only followed our hearts and passions rather than chasing dollar signs then there would be a lot more millionaires and a lot less merry go round riders.

Great Offers To Be Found On Automotive Websites

If any company is in the trade of selling cars, both new and used, then these days they absolutely must have an internet shop so that people can see what they have on offer without really searching too hard. Indeed, anyone who does not have this site is surely losing out to those who have already embraced this medium. Auto dealer marketing is easy once the basics are learned and those who have computer whiz kids in their employ have a distinct advantage over others. Automotive websites are quite easy to find and it is only a matter of connecting to them through a good search engine.

For obvious reasons, cars are always in high demand. If people can get onto these sites, they will surely have a plethora of choice waiting for them. Some dealers will only sell brand new vehicles, but there are some who deal exclusively with used and renovated cars. Since the general public is not capable of buying a new car every time they need one, the market for used cars, which keep their resale value, are much sought after.

However, used cars do not mean models which have been driven into the ground. These days, people look after them well and this is because they know that they will lose money if they are not careful. However, this does also not mean that the prospective buyer can just trust to luck when they want to buy one. On the contrary caveat emptor, as the saying goes, must always apply. This 'buyer beware' warning is the same for just about any purchase but is used with cars very often.

What these sites get out of advertising on the net is the ability to reach a far wider audience than could ever be managed with a newspaper advertisement. Local newspapers will only be circulated in a relatively small area while the net covers the whole world. Although international buyers are few, they are there and every sale is valuable of course.

On these sites are facilities for satisfied customers to have their say. This promotes a good business relationship of course but be aware of those clients who may not be happy with how they were treated. Indeed, they will spread the bad news far and wide and they may not have to use this site to do it. Therefore, all companies have to treat their clients with respect these days since this could just reflect on the bottom line in the end.

Since there are many sites on the web, it may be a good idea to have something very eye- catching on the landing page. Special offers which draw attention are always good, as long as the company is willing to abide by what they are offering. Again, offering discounts and then withdrawing this at short notice is not really the right thing to do. It is much better to show people how honest the company is since good publicity travels just as fast as bad, and any referral from a satisfied customer may just result in one more sale.

Stewart Wrighter recently searched the internet for an [http://manningi.com/]auto dealer marketing expert to help a client. He found the number of [http://manningi.com/]automotive websites available online impressive.

How to Profit in a Bad Economy

"In misfortune there is opportunity." I heard this is a Chinese saying. Whether this is a Chinese saying or not, I know that it can be true. Consider:

If two cars collide the misfortune is upon the owners of the two cars. Their insurance payments will increase, and they may be without their cars for several days. They may have to spend money on renting vehicles while their cars are being repaired. Where is the opportunity? The repair shop gets work--mechanics and auto body shop. When a loved one dies it causes pain, but the funeral director is able to make a profit by providing a service. Misfortune can be profitable depending on how you look at it. What is the purpose of all this? It illustrates that people can use today's bad economy--misfortune-- to profit. How? It all depends on how you look at things.

Yes, many have lost their jobs. Yes, many cannot find traditional work. So where is the opportunity? The opportunity lies in changing our view.

When someone looses his job the first thing he thinks about is being hired by a large stable corporation that has benefits for its employees. However, big stable companies are known to be ruthless. They would fire someone who has a lot of years with the company simply to hire a new person and pay them less to do the same job, thus saving money. There is no company loyalty to the employee.

As a result of the current economy and many job losses many are looking in a different direction. They are not looking to large stable corporations, nor anyone else. They are looking at working for themselves--starting their own home businesses--and some of them have found gold doing that. How so?

Usually when people begin to look at work at home businesses they see offers of making $10,000 or more a month. There is always a story of how someone did it. The truth is that this may not apply to you at the start. There are people who do this in just a few months, but usually this is only a fraction, less than one per cent. Where is the gold?

The gold lies in the fact that those who look in the direction of working for themselves and do it consistently, within reason, normally would experience success beyond what they had ever imagined. If formerly they made $60,000 per year, in a few years they find themselves making double that amount with the potential for much more. The key is in finding the right kind of business and seeing its potential. If we can see the potential, then we are motivated to keep going. For example, GP was making about $1,500 per month in his home business. The loss of his full-time job made him channel more effort into his home business and within eight years he was making $60,000 per month.

To benefit, or experience success even in a bad economy we need to work for ourselves in an industry that is in demand. I have found two businesses that pay me small checks every month right now. In two years I expect these checks to increase exponentially. You see, I look for businesses that grow, and will keep growing.

Now permit me to leave you with two stories:

No. 1 TR began his business with little money. In four years he had generated over $10,000,000.00.

No. 2 CH went from $40,000.00 per year to $40,000.00 per month.

No. 3 GP (mentioned before) was earning $1,500.00 per month. Now after 8 years he earns $60,000.00 per month.

The point here is not how much they earn. It is the consistency in doing their business.

When a rocket takes off the beginning is slow. However, it builds up momentum. All cars, from standing still start of slow and then gather speed.

Any business is going to start slow and then build. Do not forget this important fact. Usually people quit just before the success kicks in. If ever you are going to start a home business remember these important facts, otherwise you may find yourself trying to catch the wind.

If you would like to know more about the businesses that I found with the potential to pay large monthly sums of money in the future, please send me an email at: [mailto:rob@money3.ws]rob@money3.ws.

Download Lists of Data For Building Drop Down Menus, Lists of Countries to Makes of Cars Etc

Downloadable data lists are invaluable to website designers.

If you are a website designer you'll probably be familiar with the following example of the problematic issue of obtaining lists of data to use in a handy, downloadable format.

Let's imagine that your client approaches you to create a community website for, let's say, a dog owners' club. In this online community, the owners offer mutual time swapping dog-sitting and feeding services to nearby co-members on a mutual no-cost basis.

When a dog owner creates his or her profile, there is likely to be a requirement for a drop-down list or menu, enabling the website visitor to choose from a menu, probably coded thus: example dog breed , another dog breed , and so on.

So, you'd think it would be easy enough to obtain a list of popular dog breeds to create a list for either an SQL database or a simple option tagged list, huh? Think again! Just try if for yourself. Google-up "list of popular dog breeds". You'll find lots of information about dog breeds, not least from Wikipedia and other excellent resources, but there's a whole lot of work involved in creating a usable list from a bunch of hyperlinks on a page.

First you've got to check whether the list is up-to-date and relevant. How? By Googling-up every entry on your list to check its authenticity? Then you'll need to strip out all the hyperlinks, images and all the other trash you don't need to copy into a spreadsheet program to remove duplicates and list everything in its desired order.

This all takes time, and as any designer knows, time is money.

Instead, wouldn't it be nice to find a website where can you use an affordable one-click solution, to download an alphabetically-sorted list of places / items / cars / countries / dog breeds or whatever, ready to copy and paste, right out of the box? Well, the good news is that it's right here (see resource below).

This 'list of lists' website is growing every week, and although still in its infancy, the site is already carrying over 20 lists from airlines through to occupations. The lists are regularly reviewed and updated in response to customer queries and by this time next year there should be several hundred data lists ready to download in varying formats. The site's owners also offer a bespoke list-building service in response to specific queries, which can be surprisingly affordable.

Prices of downloadable data lists from the site vary from US$ 5.00 for really basic lists to ten times that amount for a list containing thousands of entries. There's an RSS feed too, so designers can be kept up to date with any lists that they might need to know about on an ongoing basis. http://www.dropdownlistdata.co.uk

Discover the Famous Miniature Cars of Yester Year

When you think about the words of "famous miniature cars", it usually comes to mind matchbox cars. The tiny vehicles are know the world over, and later Mattel would make the line of tiny cars and truck famous. Finding out what the history of the play toy is, is a must for collectors. Being informed, will certainly help to decide if it is an original, their true value, and if it is a good deal or not, to buy one.

It might surprise you to find out that the original matchbox design came from an English product company, and by a co-owner, named Jack Odell. He redesigned the first car for his daughter, from a toy that was sold at the company, except it was a much smaller version. The need for the small car was that apparently, she could not take any toys to school that would not fit inside a matchbox, so this is how the idea of die-cast small cars was dreamed up.

Lesney company, as it was known, marketed and distributed through the Moko Lesney company, and after the Lesney legacy went out of business, all of the rights to the name and design went to Moko. If you want to collect the line of vehicles, then be aware that the original distributing company name will be on the toys.

One of the most brilliant plans for the Lesney line was when they developed a retirement plan for their line for the die-cast model of cars. Vehicles would taken off the market after a season of production for the buying public. That is why collectors look for them so vigorously, and will pay high prices for originals. Also, production would be limited, which today draws the value of them to high prices on the open market.

If you are looking for the cars, then known that all originals will come in their unique bright yellow little box, in the shape of a box of matches. If a car is trying to be sold without the box, then look for other defining marks on the car, such as the Moko imprint on the vehicles. Popularity and rarity of certain models, like the die-cast caravan, is just one example of what to look for in the little vehicles.

The condition of cars, trucks, and jeeps, and the packaging it came in is very important, when trying to decide if the selling price is worth the cost. As with other vintage or antiques, all of these factors play into the real worth of it. Only you can decide if it is worth that much to own.

Many new collectors of die-casts do not realize that catalogs of the toys in the Lesney/Moko line, are just as valuable. Any price guides that can be found are a collectible too. As with the vehicles condition on both publications does mean a lot, in value and collectability. Do not be surprised to find more vehicles that are in better shape than the books and magazines. Rough handling by kids does not bode well for paper products.

Knowing all of these facts of history about collecting these rare toy cars and trucks, might just keep you out of being taken advantage of by a sly seller. Read more about the fascinating history of collectible cars and trucks from decades past, and fall in love with them all over again, or for the very first time.
