Business Success - Driving Traffic To Your Online Business

Forum posting is a really simple idea but will be an incredibly powerful traffic builder in the long run. Plus it's free and easy. But it will be time consuming. However, it's worth it if you want to find business success.

On the web there are sites called forums. These sites allow people to come and voice opinions or ask questions to anyone and everyone. There are thousands of forums covering probably every subject there is. So you'll have no trouble finding one that's about your niche.

You can use forums within your market to drive web traffic to your site within a few weeks. What you want to do is sign up for as many forums in your market as possible (it will be free). The forums are easy to find, just type in a simple search on Google e.g. business success forums.

You can also use groups.Google.com or groups.yahoo.com

When you're signing up, you want to make sure that there are people posting on the forum regularly. Just check the date of the last post and make sure it was within the last few days. Remember there's no point in encouraging web traffic to your site with forums, if there's no one in the forums. For business success you want to find very active forums.

So, you've signed up to your forums and now you need to start chatting about problems or solutions within your market.

DON'T GO STRAIGHT IN FOR THE KILL.

Telling everyone to visit your site straight away without saying anything else will just irritate people. Plus you'll probably just get kicked out for spamming.

It might sound a bit creepy but you need to build casual relationships with these people. You need to have conversations over a few days, and solve some problems for each other.

It's after a few days that you hit them with a subtle recommendation to your site. Don't just go straight out there with it though. Try and cloak it with some chit chat about you kids or work or something. Drop in, that you found a pretty good website that helped you a little and recommend to some of your forum friends (use their names because it conveys more value to other readers).

Try and open up to other readers as time goes on. Tell everyone a little about yourself and what you do. It builds trust, which will eventually build you free web traffic. The traffic will convert and give you the business success you're after.

This might sound a bit dishonest but you're driving these people to your site so that you can give them content that will help them (if you're like me anyway). Also pretending you're a girl helps loads as well..... this might be pushing it for some (people just trust women more).

Here's what will happen once you've been posting in as many forums as possible for a couple of weeks, I guarantee you will start building web traffic, at a trickle first but as time goes on, a steady flow.

You should still post regularly though. Especially if it's a popular forum. Just once a week is enough. The great thing about forums is that they don't get deleted so people will always be able to read your posts for years after.

Remember that the gap between your first post and the post that mentions your site should be at least 10 days. Be patient and you'll eventually get the amount of traffic that will give you online business success. Earn Money Online - Make Money Blogging

When it comes to making money online, I think everyone would be very interested in this field. Making money online can be done with a variety of different methods. One method which I use is blogging. Blogging is a fun and easy way to make money online, I think so anyway. You can set up a blog for free, and start posting articles or general chit chat, whatever you like really! The more you write, the more the search engines love and of course the people who read your blog posts.

You can set up a blog at blogger.com. This is very easy to do; even a newbie can do this without much hassle. Once set up, you simply start posting your entries with your affiliate links inside, when someone clicks on the link, and purchases the program, you make a commission. Blogging would have to be the easiest way to get started in making money online.

Of course you will need traffic to make sales; this can be done by submitting articles to the article directories. Make sure it's not the same articles on your blog, or the search engines will see it as duplicate content, not to mention, your visitors will be bored, because they have just read the same thing in the directory, so make some chances if you intend on using the same article.

The only problem I find with blogging, is keeping the content updated. This can be somewhat a daunting task. You have to keep posting from time to time; otherwise your readers will eventually stop viewing your blog. Also fresh updated content is what the search engines want. This will help with your rankings.

In saying that, there is now a program that will post content on your blog automatically. This is a dream for the blogger! You don't need to do anything, everything is taken care of. That site is Auto blog samurai. So blogging has just become a whole lot easier, heck, even I use it now. So there is no reason why you can't start you own blog and make money from it.

As you would probably already know, there are all sorts of ways to begin rel=nofollow [http://www.making-u-money-online.blogspot.com/]online money making, but this in my opinion, is the best and easiest to do, especially with the auto blog software, its child's play!

Maybe you don't want to start a blog to promote affiliate programs? Well, then you will have to promote the links through other means, like AdWords. This is ok I guess, but it will cost you. Blogging gets your blog ranked for free over time, this you cannot beat, end of story! So you may want to reconsider your options.

Anyway, that is one popular method that is used by many thousands to start making money online. As I said, there are many. Although, if you want to start quickly and for free, take a look at building a blog, and with a bit of time and work, you too will start to see the profits build up. All the best!

Yes, Even Network Marketing Superstars Can Lose Their Luster

"I can't believe it," one of my personally sponsored reps gushed over the phone a couple of months ago. He continued: "I nabbed this network marketing pro from XYZ Co. He has over 500 people underneath him, can you imagine what that will mean to me? My business is finally taking off right into the stratosphere. All due to this one person and the numbers he's going to bring to the table."

Hm. Here we are a few months later. Our superstar has yet to shine. Matter of fact, our superstar has yet to sponsor a single person onto our team. Don't get me wrong, he talked a good game but has yet to walk the walk. When he first came into the business he wanted to talk to everyone upline to him, except, of course, his sponsor whom he assumed did not have the knowledge base nor the network marketing experience to deal with someone at his level.

And talk to upline he did. And he did. And he did.

It got so that I would flat out tell him at the start of every of our many conversations that I could only talk to him for two minutes tops. The proverbial straw came when he called to ask me about my weather as it was sunny where he was. I told him as gently as I could that if in the future he had any network marketing questions in general or questions about our company or its products in particular, by all means give me a call. But he should get his weather reports online.

In this case, and I'm sure you have your own examples, talk is not cheap. It is costly to my team's growth as it is/will be to your team's growth unless you take back control of your time.

I have not heard back from him. Nor have I heard from anyone else on his team. Oh, wait a minute, last time I checked there was no one on the superstar's team except for him.

If a network marketing superstar is really a superstar they will be just as protective of your time as they are of their own. They will use email or the phone to communicate and seek information from you (and their upline) not for general chit-chat.

As your team grows, you will find your own stars who may have started their network marketing careers as a mere flicker. But now, they light up your organization and your bank account.

Network Marketing and Facebook Games

I am going out on a limb here but I know this is an issue for many people. Some of us are sick and tired of getting game requests, neighbor requests, causes requests, gifts, etc. from other network marketers on Facebook!

I realize everyone needs entertainment, and if you want to place Facebook games with your personal friends and family, enjoy. Send them hugs and kisses, candy, cookies, cafe neighbor requests or whatever.

When I connect with other network marketers on Facebook, I:

Look at their profile to see if we have common interests
Look at their recent wall posts, and the groups and fan pages they belong to
Thank them for being my friend and try to start a conversation based on common interests

If you are in MLM/network marketing, and you reach out to other network marketers to build relationships based on this common interest, pay attention to what their profile tells you!

This all comes back to how you should approach relationship building. You should be looking for ways to add value to the other person's business or life. You are NOT adding value by sending this stuff. You are wasting their time and possibly annoying them! If they don't play games, they will not respect you as a serious business person if you attempt to engage them in games.

An extra clue would be if they are a fan of "I don't care about your farm, or your fish, or your park, or your mafia!!!"

In a traditional job environment, you work during working hours. You play games and chit chat on breaks. I know, MLM is not a traditional job. We are in this business largely because we dislike traditional jobs. We don't want someone telling us what to do or when to do it. But we do want to make money, right?

The only way playing games could possibly be part of an income-producing activity is if it builds more know, like, and trust into the relationship. And it will only do that if the person actually likes playing these games. If you see that they play games, after you have built a relationship, ask if they want to play. But do NOT send these invitations to people unless you KNOW they are interested!

If you spend quite a bit of time playing games, you need to ask yourself why. To me, it is the same as counting your paper clips, sorting your papers, and running errands that could wait. You are getting ready to get ready to work. You are avoiding the real tasks that could build your business. Think about it!

Time Management - Is Time Management the "Achilles Heel" of Network Marketers?

Most network marketers, (myself included), like the idea of being your own boss and taking direct responsibility for the success of your business. Interesting I didn't say failure in the last sentence, because no one wants to fail, There is, however, a "plague" going around that is infecting network marketers, and it will take many marketers to their business "death". The name of this plague is Time Management.

My wife of 33 years will tell you, when I started in marketing I was the absolute WORST when it came to time management. I was (according to her) wasting a lot of time that could otherwise be put to good use. Let me give you 2 "suggestions" on areas where I try to control this menace on a day to day basis.

Prospecting:

All good marketers started with a prospecting script, and now that they are successful they kind of "wing it". Well, that just makes for a lot of superfluous chat, and you can't afford that time!

For the next 100 prospects you speak to, write down the starting time, and the ending time. Also write down the starting time of you prospecting "session" and how many people you spoke to before. Your time investment is maybe 30 seconds here, a total of 50 minutes.

Now take 10 minutes, (so you've invested 60 minutes total) and put a check mark on everyone on that list who is "in your business". Now look at your list. Do you notice anything interesting?

My analysis showed that after 5-10 calls in any 1 session, my chit-chat time went down, and my success rate went up Basically that tells me I talk too much in the beginning, and I have a better success rate without. I need to spend less time, and I have a better result.

Closing:

Now that you understand the process of compiling those statistics on yourself, do the same with you closing attempts. Besides the time, also note if you tried any different closing "styles". Maybe money was a problem, so you had to do some "constrictive financing". Maybe this person was a very logical "Red" person, so you used the "Ben Franklyn" close. Note this carefully and then, after 50-100 attempts do another analysis.

Again, for me, shorter and more concise is better, AND I found a couple of different closes that ranked well above the average. Now I know how best to allocate my time in this area.

I continue to do this every week, now it takes almost no time. I complete the notes after I finish dialing the next number, and wait for the person to answer.

In Conclusion:

Being critical of yourself is a big step in being successful. Embrace your strengths, and work on your weaknesses even harder! I invested 2 hours of time for the first 100 prospects and 100 closes, and now I see a return of over 10-15 hours a month because of this exercise.

The Fortune is in the Follow-Up

If you are in MLM I am sure you've heard that the fortune is in the follow-up. Why is that true, and how do you follow up? Marketing research has shown that the "average" person needs to be exposed to a new idea about 7 times before they reach a decision. Of course some will decide right away and some may need 100 exposures, but they say the average is 7.

There are several ways to followup:

Autoresponder emails
Personal emails
Social media
Phone calls
Letters

Autoresponders are a necessity in my opinion. You need a proven system of what to say, at what interval, to keep people in the loop and it is also helpful if you can see how many of the emails they actually read. With a good autoresponder campaign you can actually have people join your business a year or more after initial contact! Especially if you are not experienced at marketing, a system where someone who does have that experience has written the emails for you is essential. Your autorespnder system may also provide a way to send a mass email to everyone. I use this feature to invite people to training calls.

Personal emails can be used in between autoresponder emails to set up times for phone calls, or to give the prospect timely new information that would not be included in previously written autoresponder emails. Also use personal emails if you have built a relationship and want to convey personal information, like a "happy birthday" or "is your child feeling better today."

Social media has SO many applications! I have formed a group on Facebook from friends I invited and some people who just found the group and joined it. I send one message that I customize each week based on what is on my mind. The second message I send is to invite people to a training call we have every Saturday, and I tell them what the topic will be this week. I also find many people prefer to communicate on Facebook or Twitter rather than using email. And I love the information I can get from people's profiles! I can learn so much about them, even their personality type!

Phone calls are something I personally am careful with (more on that below) but I always try to contact a new prospect by phone at least twice. There is no substitute for a live personal conversation. Each time I do speak with someone, I ask when would be a good time to call again and respect their answer.

Letters are something rarely used these days. One reason is that most capture pages do not get street addresses, and many people are reluctant for security reasons to provide them. But if you do have someone's mailing address you can certainly send them a personal note along with material they might find helpful. Now, on to the question of how to make sure follow up is respectful! This actually has much to do with the prospect's personality type. The personality types are:

Yellow (phlegmatic-nurturer)
Blue (sanguine-fun seeker)
Green (melancholy-analytical)
Red (choleric-money oriented)

Yellows and blues are both open, and blues especially love talking, so frequent communication in almost any form is probably OK. Some people feel you should call every day the first week until you have a live conversation. I personally go for every-other day, 2 or 3 calls maximum, then let the autoresponder take over. Blues also tend to be disorganized and can be forgetful, so frequent follow-up is needed to keep them on track and thinking about you!

Greens (like myself) do NOT like to be contacted often by phone, and need time to research things on their own before deciding on anything. When you encounter this type of person you need to give them all of the information you can and let them ponder. Do NOT follow up too often with a green!

Reds are all about the money and quick to see the big picture. They don't have time for personal information and chit chat. These people are likely to decide quickly, and if they don't like what they see right away they will normally opt out of your system.

It is absolutely necessary to always allow people to opt out of communication! You can be sued if you do not allow this and honor it, so be very careful! I hope you find this helpful. The main thing is to realize that you will almost never make a sale or get a new sign-up in the first contact, so staying in touch with people is the key!

Work From Home - Goal Setting With a Little Extra Secret

When you work from home, it can sometimes be difficult to get things done. Finding the time is one thing. Setting a time to do "X" is one part of the goal setting process. Most people do this pretty well. They set up a time to sit down and "write articles", to "call clients", to do "X". But then the phone rings, and you talk to that person for 10 minutes. The call was important, but you did not work on your goal for that 10 minutes. Perhaps the baby starts crying. You get it taken care of, but that took 15 minutes.

Here is a step that many people forget in the goal making process. Include a specific action to be completed in that time. In other words, sit down with a goal of writing 2 articles, or contact 5 people. Do not worry so much about the amount of time spent, but also include a particular action or quantity.

So you set aside 2 hours for calling clients, with a goal of contacting 5. Great! But you really got in to a great conversation with one of them and you think you will make a sale with him or her on the next call. But your time is up. You still need to make some more phone calls.

Don't forget the goal of contacting 5 people. Make a note of it and come back to it. This is important because if you let it slip, then you will not be able to possibly make another sale. If you can stay and finish or work towards that goal, then do so.

The other thing that happens is people allow themselves to be distracted. So the baby cries and you take care of it. Then make sure that you come back to the task at hand of "writing articles". Don't check emails. Don't call a friend and chit chat. In the end, your time will be up and that goal of writing 2 articles has gone.

On the other side, if you get your 2 articles written, and you have some time left, write another one. Start research on another. You still have some allotted time to be productive.

Working from can be a great experience. I love it. But most people fail because they do stay on task and do not develop good goal setting skills.

Check what I have decided to get in to. Complete goal setting training can be found here. [http://www.financial-freedom-2010.com]CLICK HERE NOW!

Leaving the Rat Race and Working From Home - Top 5 Reasons Why

I just got a phone call the other day from a friend I haven't seen in almost a year. It was the usual chit chat, "How's the family?" "What have you been up to?" But when I started to tell him about how my life has changed since we last spoke, it dawned on me what an amazing transformation it has been and I felt inspired to share it.

While my friend was complaining to me about his job and especially his boss, I started thinking "that was me!" "This is how I used to live!"

Every morning at 6 am I would jump awake to the awful sound of my alarm clock, and drag myself from the warm comfort of my bed. Always in a rush, I would get ready and try to get some breakfast (but usually not) before running out the door. My commute was a stressful game of "dodge'em cars" for half an hour, and that was all before I even started work!

Once at work I would have a meeting with BOTH of my bosses and sit, trying not to fall asleep as they argued between themselves what it was we had to achieve for the day. What a waste of time! I would spend the rest of the day watching the clock, desperately trying to think of some way to change my situation. At around 5 or 6pm (yes that's a 10 or 11 hour day) I would "fly" out of the office and battle the traffic on my way home. If you can't already tell, I HATED my job and especially wasting my precious time for small pay check.

The precious few hours that followed with my wife and two boys were the best part of my day, although most of it was taken up with cooking dinner, helping with homework and all the other household "stuff". By 10pm, I was completely exhausted, but being the night owl that I am, I would lie in bed thinking about how tomorrow, I would have to do it all over again. I usually didn't get to sleep until sometime after 12.

This all changed when I unearthed the missing ingredients in my life and started my own online marketing business.

My life now is an absolute joy. I'm working from home and spending as much time with my family as I like. Our lifestyle is just a dream come true and we have no limitations any more with either time or money. We are free to live the life we truly deserve.

Finally, I thought I'd share with you my top 5 reasons why it's awesome to leave the rat race and work from home.

1. You don't have to listen to a boss that is clearly less intelligent than you, any more.
Seriously, how did this person get into that position?

2. No more driving to work in the wind, rain, snow or heat.
Especially if your heater or air conditioner does not work.

3. Not having to work weekends, nights and holidays.
What's with that? Why call them holidays, or weekends and still expect people to work.

4. Forgetting what day of the week it is...and it doesn't matter!

5. NO MORE ALARM CLOCK.

The pleasure of smashing your alarm clock to pieces cannot be overstated! Just KNOWING that you never have to wake up to that awful noise ever again is totally priceless.

So there you have it, my top 5. There are many, many more awesome reasons to leave the rat race and work from home and I'm sure you can think of heaps just off the top of your head.

If this sounds good to you and you would like to become part of an amazing online community that is teaching regular people to become a huge success online, then enter your details below. I look forward to providing you with everything you will ever need to become a top online entrepreneur.
