Establishing A Work At Home Enterprise Is Still My Dream

I thought perhaps he was doing some form of online gambling or had just completed a restaurant survey and had acquired a $15 dollar gift certificate, but what he had in fact done was sell a $5 coffee mug for $20. He explained to me exactly what he had done and told me that he would eventually be establishing a home based business enterprise of his very own.

Basically, he went to an local area dollar store and bought twenty mugs which bore the logo of our own local hockey squad, which had recently claimed the Stanley Cup. Discovering that there will be lots of bandwagon jumpers and that our sports team was not a major-market program, he put the mugs on eBay for $20 each in order to see how they would do, as he said.

You have to be ready to make some personal sacrifices (often sleep and nights out) in order to put in the time necessary to get a business up and running. If you want it you have to REALLY want it. For starters, if you just wrote something on your paper, I want to congratulate you. You have just entered into a small, selective group of people. Most people are content and/or happy to stay exactly where they are in life, and feel that they have reached the end of the road. They often indulge in other people's lives, �and are usually those that gossip often, and are critical of every little thing that other's around them do. People are losing those jobs left and right, and even those at the top of their field or job are not safe.

Whatever your dream is, know that you can achieve it if you have the strong desire to do so. It has to lie within your heart, mind, body and soul, and you must decide that you will become the very best at it. I know that it is so easy to give up on your dream because of the big, open, broad road called failure. If you are traveling down the tight, narrow road of success, you may actually detour down the road of failure by way of obstacles, but if know that is only temporarily... You will get back onto the road to success in no time. The object here, is to NEVER QUIT!� You can and will do it, as long as you set goals along the way, and stay determined and focused. Dedication is another characteristic that you must possess as you go on your journey down the road to success. You must be inspired, motivated and have the no matter what... I'm going to reach my dream mentality. Here is where you need to set, then write your goals and your why for achieving your dream. If you don't know why you are aiming to get to your dream, then you have no reason to fight for it. If you why is strong, the how figures itself out!

Last but not least, is putting in the hard work. You must make a commitment that you will not quit, NO MATTER WHAT! You will keep going as long as it takes you to achieve your dream. Winner's never quit, while quitters never win.

You must stay in control at all times and decide before you get started down the road to success what you are willing to give up in order to reach your dream. The hardest thing I know that you will need to give up, is the dream killer... aka the T.V.! Just calculate how much time a day, and then a week you spend in front of it, and you will see why you need to get rid of it. Channel that time into achieving your dream, until you are generating in excess of $20,000 per month.

Remember to always be selective of who you listen to because you never know what someone's objective really is. Your wealth is in a hazard zone if you are listening to a poor man's advice.

These then trickle down the food chain. Corporate turn into divisional goals. Divisional break down into department goals. Department will become individual goals. All of this takes place in corporate America. But why as individuals do we not establish goals for ourselves? How many people have established personal ones? Very few!

So why is this? Why don't more people set goals for themselves?

While I do people do set some goals, they are often just thoughts and not well established goals. Goals in the workplace are "SMART". Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Reasonable and Timebound. But this doesn't work for individuals. Or at least not completely. The problem with SMART goals is that these often will limit a person from accomplishing a lot more than they could.

Many people will dream of owning a house. But why settle on that as a goal. Think bigger! Instead of a 3 bedroom house, why not target a 6 bedroom home? Why settle on a Ford or a Chevy. How about going for a Mercedes? What about even bigger dreams? What about a boat, a plane or financial independence?

The point is that you need to set your goals as dreams. As Donald Trump says "if you going to dream, dream big!"

So establish those dreams as goals. Find a way to reach those dreams. Then come up with even bigger dreams.
