The Mouse And The Milk

One day in the barn, some mice were running along a beam when it broke and all the mice fell into a churn of milk.

The mice began to swim around and around but after a while some of them got tired and stopped swimming. "don't give up" squeaked one little mouse."keep swimming" But the other mice didn't listen, they were tired, hopeless, undetermined. They stopped swimming and eventually drown in the milk

The commotion caught the attention of the other animals in the barn and they gathered around the top of the urn.

"You'll never make it, Give it up, it's impossible" they all yelled down at him. But the little mouse kept kicking his little arms and legs furiously. After a while the other animals got bored of watching and went about their usual day, sleeping, sitting around doing nothing and gossiping. I live in a flat. There was this family who live in the same block as I do. But for many years, I've never pay attention to them. I never know what they do, how many kids whatsoever. I only knew they are of Malay ethnic that planted a lot of plants such as chili, curry leafs, aloe vera etc. Each day when I walked pass their door, I felt like I'm walking through a mini forest.

Until one day, as usual, I walked passed their house and notice a middle age Malayman flowering his plants. We smiled at each other as I walked passed. Then few days later, we met again and smiled. Until one day about 2 weeks later, he stop me as i walked passed and we started to chat. Funny thing is that we met almost everyday after we've had our first conversation. Before that, I hardly see him.

Then one day, this Malayman invited me to have coffee at his house and i agreed. During our conversation, he took out a bottle of Chinese medicine made of herbs. He asked if I could help find it. Looking at the bottle, I agreed to find it thinking that he need only one bottle. He said he wanted 10 dozens of it. That 10 dozens caught me by surprised. I asked him why needed 10 dozens and he said some for self consumption and some to sell it to his friends and relatives at a profit because it helps.

Since I was jobless, I went looking all around Singapore and asked other friends who may knew this product. After one week of searching, I finally found it in our neighbouring country Malaysia. Upon returning home I went back straight to the Malayman and told him about the good news. I requested him to give a 50% deposit for the purchase and he happily gave me. The next day I brought in 10 dozens of the medicine and he paid me the balance. And one month later he asked for another 20 dozens. The profit I made from each deal is about 80%. Each he orders, asked for a upfront 50% and balance to be paid upon delivery. For that 2 months I've profited approximately 4000 bucks.

After that two successful deal I made with the Malayman, my mindset changed. I have realized that we don't necessary need money to make money. All it takes is building good and trustworthy relationship with with people.

Another way to start a business without money is to sell your old unwanted stuff at a flea market. Your unwanted stuff may be of value to lots of people out there. A flea market stall rental is usually very cheap. You don't have to pay a single cent for some flea market. I did sell some of my stuff at flea market sometimes, I could profit about 80 - 100 bucks within 4 to 5 hours. Not bad eh!!

When there is will, there is a way. Some of the rich tycoons I have know of in Singapore started off with no money, no education, barely understand simple English, yet they could own high rise buildings and thousands of people working under them.

Ask yourself this question, "What is it they know that we don't?" That will have your mind ponder a little bit.

With the technology of the internet, you could easily find something you like and passionate about and affordable enough to get you started. Together with a big dream, a plan, enthusiasm, patience and determination. You will be on your way wealth.

You don't need to create your own product to start a business. Creating your own product requires lots of hard work, manpower, time, cost and many other factors.
