MLM Success Training - Thomas Edison + 10,000 + Patience - EGO = Big Black Hummer

When it comes to being successful in your MLM home business, failure cannot be an option. True success depends on your willingness to do whatever it takes to meet and exceed your goals. Unfortunately, most network marketers are building their business backwards, but that's another topic for another day. Thomas Edison set the standard of how true success is to be attained.

Thomas Edison was a man of high standards. The ability to convince himself of no failure is an incredible human feat indeed. The utmost desire to fight for freedom is beyond society's expectation. What about you? Have you failed 10,000 times in your life or in your business? Did you quit or did you get back up to fight? A successful MLM business takes much discipline in this regard.

On the other hand, EGO plays a big role in your ability to rise above the rest. Ego simply means "your false sense of self" How you see yourself and how others see you will determine your footsteps to financial freedom. Do you believe network marketing works? Do you believe that you can build an army of "Doers" who follow you, and like the way you think and carry out your free capitalism gene? I believe in you and you will.

By far, the best MLM success training is the training of the mind. Without proper thinking, there is no way you will be able to make it past 90 day in your business. The Big Black Hummer, also known as your prized possession will come after you attain the right mindset. My advice to you is to be the sparrow. Be the person that you were born to be. Be the Thomas Edison and don't give up for anything.

Is it Good to Be Different?

When I was in elementary school, my naturally curly hair was not considered an asset. Girls were supposed to have long straight hair with barrettes. Not this chicken! No matter how much I begged, my mother refused to fix my hair like the rest of the girls. My nickname was Phyllis Diller. Oh, and because my name is Dale I was on the boys registration list in second grade instead of the girls.

In high school, we had moved to the country so my parents could buy land to start a campground. The percentage of kids planning to go to college was quite small and as a result, it was not "cool" to be smart. I was a nerd. One of my sister's friends told her they heard her little brother was an honor student (there goes that name again.)

In college, I was enrolled in engineering school, and women were a minority. Some companies were giving preferential hiring treatment to women and minorities and it caused some tension between the guys and the gals. I always felt I earned what I got since I worked hard and kept a good grade average, but the tension was still there. Oh, and I got an invitation to join a fraternity (not a sorority) when I enrolled. My sister said I should show up at the house and see what they said. Ha, ha, ha.

I enjoyed sewing and when I graduated college and had more free time, I made most of my own clothes. Nobody made fun of me, but it did make me different. I think that was the first time being different actually got me respect. From then on in my professional career, being different finally became as asset. My name still gave me trouble sometimes. I signed up for the gym at one company and they gave me a locker in the men's room (I got it changed.)

Now that I am in network marketing and working on personal branding, I believe it is really an asset to be different! In his book "Endless Referrals", Bob Burg talks about how sending a handwritten note to people you meet at a networking event makes you stand apart from the crowd. I have been attending these events for 1 1/2 years and I have never received a note in the mail! I have received a few emails, that is all. So I can truly see how it would make you stand out, especially with the language he tells you to use.

How else can you stand out?
Care about people, be a "Go Giver"
Be honest, open, and transparent
Be respectful! Don't be an aggressive salesperson
Be persistent, in a good way
Be approachable, not arrogant. Drop the ego!I think if more people were different in these ways in the MLM industry, the industry wouldn't have such a bad rap! Greed and ego have taken their toll.

So don't be afraid to stand apart from the crowd, as long as you're on the high road!

Finding a Business That Delights You - It Will Lead You to Your Authentic Self

The first time I heard the phrase Authentic Leadership was via a friend involved in management and personal development. Her definition was a little sketchy - so it led me to investigate further. The first time I saw it in action I was so thrilled - and I'll tell you why.

It was refreshing to see people genuinely being themselves in leadership roles. These people were more interested in empowering those around them and contributing to their business community and making a difference than taking control of them, these people believed in the ethos of great teams, not charismatic leaders build great organisations. Research shows that employees and teams have higher energy, more committed and enthusiasm for their roles when they see that their leader is just being themselves.

Being authentic even as one self can be challenging - letting others see us as we really are worts and all so to speak, as human- being making mistakes. Andrew Cohen of Evolutionary Enlightment, has a wonderful list that he believes we should always aspire to if we are to be truly authentic as leaders and liberated human beings. I have added my interpretation, see if these ring true for you.

Andrew says we must be willing to:

Stand alone - Have an opinion, stand up for your decisions and be true to them.
Live fearlessly - Have a no wholes barred approach.
Act heroically - To act selflessly, without personal benefit.
Want to be free and true more than anything else - Unswerving Commitment to your goals, beliefs and actions.
Take unconditional responsibility for oneself - Act ethically.
Face everything and avoid nothing - In spiritual terms this means developing awareness, to see what is real and true.
At all times see things impersonally - Act without ego.
Live for a higher purpose - Work unstoppably to achieve your goals, powering through obstacles.

Can you imagine for a moment how your current situation would look if you were to live fearlessly? Take on any task and attack it with a no wholes barred approach - no preconceived ideas that would make you hesitate. What effect would this have on those that look up to you? Would it not energise them, enthuse them, motivate them and inspire them.

I have taken to reading this list each morning and I find depending on my circumstance one or another will resonate strongly on any given day. Authentic leadership is not about ego and self image it is about caring so much more for a higher purpose, that you're willing to make the most important sacrifices for the sake of what you are aspiring to accomplish. Cohen says that caring "so passionately about others also reaching that goal that we unhesitatingly sacrifice our own peace of mind, comfort, and security in order for them to succeed. It really means that we have no choice left anymore because we have realized without any doubt that from now on, it's up to us.."

In essence Authentic leaders are focused on their purpose rather than their ego, there is true meaning in their work. True authenticity comes when you find something you love best, the thing that inspires and satisfies you, excites you and spurs you on to great work. When addressing a graduation group at Stanford University in 2005, Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple Computer and of Pixar Animation studios, said,

"...time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary."

Don't be starved for meaning in your work, we spend most of your lives in this activity, source your passion, face your goals -"face everything, avoid nothing" follow your authentic self.

'To business that we love we rise betime,

And go to 't with delight.' William Shakespeare

Do Not Hide Behind Your Status Quo - Go Out and Live

Why so much status quo? I often ask myself and once you realize that the one thing that your ego hates more then anything else is change, then it makes perfect sense why most people hunker down into a survival mode.

Whatever the reason for this, our defensive selves will do anything rather than change...even when it means going against our own best interest. Ask any member of a tightly defined group or addict.

Ego really is just another word for blindness, it is the unobserved self, because once your realise and see it for what it is the game is up. The ego is not an evil as such. But it must remain unseen and disguised to be effective. And what does this do for you?

Your ego will give many folk a resistance to change or anything that can improve your lot because to do that you have to under take a new mind set and change your habits...but that is the only way that you will learn and take on new and better things; in other words grow!

So what you must ask yourself:

Do I need new and better things?
Am I content and satisfied where I am at the moment?
Am I stuck in the mud and afraid to move and grow again?
What would I do if I lost my job?
How safe is my job?

The list of questions is endless and is really up to you what sort of questions you want to ask.

There is always a way forward and always a better life for you and yours. This better life does not have to be a major change; you could just make small changes to improve you lot whilst you still keep with the "status quo" which, given our human nature is not a bad way to start.

Much like crossing a stream using stepping-stones...one step at a time...you step forward whilst still have one foot in the old life.

What you may well need is something or place to go to that is new whilst living in the old. Do not hide behind your status quo and go out and live: Take a look at my blog to find out more.

Help During Times of Unemployment

I recently lost my six figure income from my prestigious corporate job and have entered the masses of the unemployed. Needless to say, it was a major blow to my ego, and a huge wakeup call financially. And to make matters worse, this was the second time in two years due to struggling companies!

It was so easy to begin slipping into the abyss of depression and feelings of despair. It was dangerously close to ruining my holidays, and my confidence.

I needed to find a way to maintain my sanity. Somehow I couldn't bring myself to work for a minimum wage short term job, and, there were very few to be found. The rising unemployment rate in the country was really hurting my chances at an alternative. My bigger problem was bridging the 'gap' in my resume. A friend who had been in a similar situation encouraged me to form a legitimate legal business that I could include on my resume to eliminate this gap. A surprising positive is it also shows an entrepreneurial spirit and skills that I could add to my resume.

I decided to start my own home based business so that I could overcome my unemployment obstacles. There are definite pro's and con's:

- This allowed me to wake up everyday with something productive to do
- I am regaining hope
- The ability to earn income
- Learn new skills
- Allow me time to rest and reexamine my priorities and desires in life.

Con: It takes courage, time and skill to make a business successful.

Daily I remind myself that with every closed door, a new window opens up. Sometimes life's greatest adversities provide the opportunity to stop and reevaluate life and how to live according to my purpose.

I hope this was helpful to you as a potential idea if you are faced with the unfortunate reality of unemployment. http://www.maverickmoneymakersdaileyonline.com
