Working in a home office offers a lot of advantages: no commute, relaxed atmosphere, no dress code, and a flexible schedule, are among the best that come to mind immediately. Not Tonight, Honey, I Have a Headache!

Do you ever have "those days" when you just don't feel like being productive? I sure do! These are days when the last thing I want to do is:
Exercise
Call someone
Write an article or blog post
Make a video
Search for new contacts
Read or listen to self development materialAnd yet, I know I need to keep doing these things! You might wonder what exercise has to do with MLM? Well, no matter what my occupation, I have always found that starting the day with exercise puts me in a good mood and gives me energy. It also stimulates thought!

I have been reading "Go Givers Sell More" by Bob Burg and John David Mann (great book!) In the chapter on maturity, they mention that being a professional means you work even when you don't feel like it. In a traditional job, you may be able to call in sick and still make money. But if you play hooky too often you'll get fired, and with good reason since you are letting other people down and making them do your work. In MLM, you normally don't get fired for lack of results (although it can happen so read your policies and procedures!) You might let some people down, you won't earn money, but probably nobody will complain. But we are doing this to make money, right?

The analogy used in the book which I truly love, is that if your foot falls asleep you have not lost the foot. It's still there, you just need to get it moving. The funny thing is, once the feeling is back you will forget all about that foot being asleep. And that is usually the case if you will just get started doing what you know you need to do.

I always find this to be true with exercise. Once I pop in the DVD and hit "play" I always finish the workout. Once I pick up the phone and dial, if the person answers, I must talk! Once I start writing about an idea, I get in "the flow" and the words just keep coming. When I start searching for new friends, I see interesting faces and get excited about getting to know them.

Reading or listening to self development material is probably the easiest thing for me to do when I don't feel motivated. And guess what happens? It helps me see why I am stuck and helps me find my motivation again. Perfect.

Let Spring Inspire You to Make Important Changes to Your Life

As we go outside there is a different smell that indicates that spring is almost upon us. While our winter evenings have been filled with being curled up on the sofa and sheltering from the cold, spring is a time shake off the winter cobwebs and become active and adventurous.

However in order to achieve this we need some energy which can be difficult to find when you are still in sluggish winter mode. This can be solved by making some of the following minor changes to our lives:

Keep your body well fuelled with a healthy diet

Our body is like a car as it needs good fuel to run at its best. It is important to start off your day with a good breakfast. Good choices of food to include in this meal are wholegrain toast topped with banana or some wholegrain cereal with semi skimmed milk. You could also add a glass of fruit juice which will also help to achieve one portion of your 5 a day fruit. It is important to eat three healthy meals a day and to also include healthy snacks such as fruit or seeds as these can help to maintain constant sugar levels. Be sure to also eat foods which are rich in iron. Good examples of these are red meats, cereals, wholegrain bread, green vegetables, nuts and seeds. Iron is important as it is needed to transport oxygen around the body.

Drink plenty

Replacing lost fluids is vital for energy and well being. It is therefore important to ensure that you drink plenty of fluids, particularly water, throughout the day. If you become thirsty this is a sign that you are beginning to dehydrate. It is recommended that you drink at least six to eight glasses of fluid a day. If you exercise or live in a hotter climate then you need to drink more.

Exercise

Exercise is crucial for energy. Try to do about half an hour a day of exercise. The exercise doesn't have to be strenuous. Walking, swimming or jogging can be as effective as exercising in a gym. Exercise is an excellent means of relieving stress too and will make you feel energised for the day.

Sleep well

If possible try to have about eight hours of sleep a night. Reading a good book before bedtime or having a relaxing bath with essential oils can assist in achieving this. A good night sleep will help to ensure that you wake up full of renewed energy to start the day.

Start working from home

Often we can feel sluggish and lacking energy because we are unhappy in our work. Many of us would like to become our own boss but lack the confidence to take the first step to achieve that goal.

Just as spring brings about new life with budding flowers and new born lambs it can also lift our mood and help us to have a more positive mindset. Secrets of Successful People - Easy Steps to Becoming a Successful Entrepreneur

Learning The Power and Why

I'd like to start with a very powerful exercise that will show you how organize and better define your goals that leads to a pathway of success. Divide a sheet of paper into 3 equal columns and write: Massive Action, Goals, Purpose and Reward.

In your goal column write the biggest goal you'd like to achieve; the one that gets you most excited such as paying off debt, creating a 7 figure income this year, buying a new car or leaving your day job for good. Now write a price tag in the goal section of leaving your job- the amount of money you'll need to earn to cover all of your expenses.

Now go to the purpose column and write your purpose and goals of entrepreneurship. Some examples are no more commuting on the train, being able to pick up your children from school or to spend more quality time with my family/children.

Let your mind move freely on this exercise so you can write about what your life will be like when you reach your goals. Be sure to leave some space at the bottom of this column to create another column by drawing a line across the bottom of this column. In this newly created column write the emotion (and this is Key) of how you'll feel once you reach your goals such liberated, free, secure, worthwhile or confident. Again, let your pen flow here to capture the full impact of your emotions.

In your Massive action column-Write all of things you need to do to achieve your goals. (This is an exercise Tony Robbins teaches.) Choose 3 income producing activities that will drive you to success then choose 1 of those things that will give you 80% of the results to work on first. Some examples might be, wanting to increase your leads to 150 per day and perhaps the most effective way to achieve this would be to build a bunch of google campaigns, or becoming a video master or setting aside extra time at night to complete your work projects. The key here is to focus on the one income producing activity project that you chose and to stick to it until you reach your goal. All else is secondary at this point keeping in mind that too many projects keep you distracted and not focused. Work on this one project until you reach your goal then move on to the second activity you chose following the same steps. As a side note, this entire process can also be applied to others area of your life that you'd like to improve upon such as health and fitness, dieting or Spirituality.

During this process keep in mind the biggest goal your striving to achieve so you can keep the emotion and burning desire going so you can to complete your goals otherwise, you'll get sidetracked and want to watch television or participate unnecessary trainings. Focusing on just one income producing activity at a time will help you reach your goals more quickly.

How To Use This Information:

The most effective way of using this information is to identify your emotions so you can stay connected to your goals being careful to stick with just one goal. Then everyday in the a.m. and p.m. visualize and feel the emotion of your goals, what your life is going to be like and how you'll feel when you reach your goal. Spend about 5 minutes doing this 4-5 times throughout the day. By disciplining yourself to do this exercise daily you will become so laser focused on building your business that you will not want to be distracted from it. An example of how to visualize would be leaving your day job. Now close your eyes and think of how it's going to feel when you hand your boss your resignation, what it will feel like when you walk out the door and how great it's going to feel when you wake up the next morning in full command of your own work from home business and being able to drive your children to school that day. By making this exercise a daily ritual it will become so powerful that your business will move forward by leaps and bounds and your motivation will never waiver.
