They need to be someone you feel comfortable working with someone you can trust to give you the best advice possible. So choose carefully some people you can tell after a short conversation that you feel comfortable speaking to, as we all know you feel more comfortable talking to some people more than other this is a good guide line.

A mentor is there to help you avoid all the pitfalls before they happen... they have already been there and done that so to speak, so they can give you advice and point you in the right direction. Your Mentor is not there to criticise you but rather to help you make a success of your business. A Mentor will encourage you especially when things are not going to well.

Do not feel bad when this happens it is quite normal after all we are all human. Everyone has days when things do not go as we would have liked, that's life, do not give up, that is when its good to have someone to talk to. To pick you up and set you off in the right direction again...

When you first start in any kind of business it is a lot of hard work and at times you can lose faith in yourself and have thoughts like "I don't think I can do this.......this. is perfectly normal and can happen to everyone, take heart, this is where your Mentor is invaluable, they will give you a boost and guide you forward in the right direction. A Mentor should make his or herself available and should not make you feel you are bothering them, this is why it is so important to find a Mentor who you feel comfortable with.

Of course on your own part you need to be determined to keep focused and work hard to make time to spend on building your business, otherwise the best Mentor in the world will not be able to help you, it really is in the end down to YOU.

Attraction Marketing - 5 Principles for Success

The kind of attraction that I'm referring to involves inspiration. Are you inspired by anyone? Who makes you want to be a better person when you are around them? Don't you just have a better sense of self worth and greater appreciation of life when you are with them? You feel attracted to their inspiring qualities and want to be around them and learn from them.

Consider what it is about that person that inspires you. What is it? Is it their pure heart and love for others? Their passion for life? How they make others feel important? Their knowledge and wisdom? How they motivate you? Is it their committment to and belief in a worthy goal? Is it because they know exactly where they are going and believe with everything in them that they will get there, and you feel yourself wanting to be a part of that?

What if you had those same qualities? Can you visualize yourself being that person? Can you picture how your life could change for the better if you took on those qualities for yourself?

Work on these 5 principles every day to develop those traits.

1. Read. Get your hands on anything that will motivate and inspire you. Read material created from the most successful experts in your profession. Look for patterns of success. Do this for 30 minutes each morning.

2. Listen. When you drive, play educational audio material. What should you listen to? Anything that is in line with your ultimate goals in life.

3. Plan. Take time to plan each day to keep yourself on track. What are the most important things you need to accomplish each day. Schedule a time to get those things done.

4. Avoid anything that could slow your progress. Stay away from negative situations, harmful habits, and addictive substances or activities. Don't waste your time on unproductive activities.

5. Connect with a higher power. Whatever your personal beliefs are regarding a higher power, take time each day with a grateful heart and seek for guidance and assistance as you work to become who you were born to be.

I can promise you that if you do these things consistently, your life will dramatically improve in every aspect. Be the inspiration that you wish to see in others and people will naturally be attracted to you.

Joy Can Never Be Lost!

Maybe you blame it on your boss, a difficult co-worker, client or even the weather. I have noticed that there are times when I'm salsa-dancing and I'm not having my usual awesome time, and I can hear myself and others saying, 'There's no one to dance with, the music isn't any good tonight. It's too hot in here.'

But, we always have two choices. We can use the external circumstances of our lives and other people as an excuse to not feel joyful, or we can decide that no matter what happens, or who we encounter, we are going to feel good.

Start doing these 3 things every day, and watch your life change!

1. Set up an intention for your day or before you do an activity to feel good no matter what (even the weather or traffic!) You don't have control over anything outside of you anyway!

2. Throughout your day, pay attention to your thoughts or words that are coming out of your mouth. Consciously choose another, more positive thought, or close your mouth and stop speaking. And if you need to walk away from someone who's having a negativity party, just do it!

3. Refocus on the things around you that you appreciate or that you enjoy. You will find that in no time at all, you can shift how you feel. And when you feel better, 'surprisingly', the circumstance or person that was bothering you, no longer does, and your joy starts shining through again.

Remember! Nothing or no one can ever affect your true joy. YOU get to decide in every moment how you want to feel. Do you want to feel your joy, or do you want to give your power away to things you have no control over?

If you have had a bad day, bad week or bad month you are probably not celebrating your victories! A little bit of celebration and positivity goes a LONG way! When you are trying to run a business it is easy to be down about profits, sales or leads and everything may not seem like its "enough." Maybe you feel like you could be doing more or you think nothing is working. These feelings are completely normal and they happen to even the most successful top earners.

Celebrating your victories helps you feel and see what your future could look like. If you take those happy memories and feelings from your past and keep them in mind when you are doing your marketing, videos, blogging, affirmations or other daily activities you're energy will be positive J.

It may sound silly but imagine a world where nobody smiled; you probably wouldn't smile either and would carry around a frown around the town. Think of what you do when someone smiles at you, chances are you smile back and you feel a little bit better for a moment. Remember that thoughts lead to actions and the more times you celebrate your victories, the more times you will feel happy and positive, the more times you will think about those victories and the more effort you will put yourself through to achieve more of those victories. Your energy and eagerness for celebration will show in your productivity and work content. Soon, having victories will be normal if you let your thoughts and actions take you there.

This morning my fianc�e and I did our little happy dance celebration because we made another sale. Maybe next time I'll videotape it. It was pretty funny and very silly but we were both happy and have had a very productive day because we are now even more motivated to make more sales, celebrate more and continue the pattern.

Make sure you celebrate everything you can. I don't care if you made $3 or 2 leads! If you don't celebrate the small stuff, you will always focus on "what else you need to do" or "what's not working" and you will get down, be unmotivated and not do or try your best.

Keep it positive, have fun and celebrate your darn victories! The more you think positive the more achievements will come your way.

Are You Sitting on Your Gifts and Talents?

There should never be an instance where you are keeping all of your gifts and talents to yourself because you are not being effective for anyone. And you are not even being fair to yourself. You deserve to feel that feeling of fulfillment because you are making a difference, and living out your purpose.

Even if you don't feel confident about sharing your gifts and talents, it is important for you to step out in faith and God will do the rest. If you constantly think about all of the things that could go against you it will never happen. So think about all of the things that you have going in your favor, even if it is just one or two things.

Too many times we keep our gifts and talents hidden from the world, because we don't feel like we have anything important to say or we don't feel like anyone would be interested, but that is just not true. If God has put it in your heart to share your natural gifts and talents then He already has people for you to come in contact with. Don't think that no one wants to hear what you have to say. That can keep you in bondage for years and you may never develop the confidence to share your gifts.

I am guilty of once sitting on my gifts. I knew inside that I had been blessed to make a difference in the world. But I didn't quite know how to make it happen. I prayed and asked God to show me how to use my natural gifts and talents to make a difference, and once I stepped out in faith I never looked back.

When we are blessed to be a blessing. It gives us an internal reward that money could never buy. We have inner peace, joy and happiness because we are not just sitting on our gifts but we are sharing them with others. We are sharing them with people who may feel hopeless, discouraged, frustrated or stuck. Those are the people who need you, they need you to step out in faith and share your gifts with the world. How To Fix Problems in the Workplace When the Problem Is You

While it may seem silly to have to consider a sole owner/operator as an unruly employee, that really is the truth of the matter. The problems come in when one has to do everything for too many hours and too many days in a row. Really now-if you worked for someone else you would never tolerate that kind of treatment would you? So stop being such a slave-driver that you resent yourself and your business. Learn to take some time off, even if you have to close the business for a day or hire someone else to give yourself a little time off. It will be worth it in the long run.

The secret beyond taking time for a little R & R is to take notice when things aren't going right. If you start out having one of those days where you spill the coffee and keep dropping things on the floor, you're yelling at yourself and others, and things just keep getting worse, STOP. Pull up and take a look around at the misery you are allowing to occur and just stop it. Take a time-out and walk away from the room and the situation. If you can, go lay down for about 15-20 minutes (but not more than an hour). Listen to some soothing music and let yourself actually fall asleep.

The purpose of taking an impromptu nap is to reset your day. Sometimes when we wake up suddenly, all of our energetic bodies (known as the 'aura') don't line up properly and we go around out of sorts all day. It can even feel like you're walking lopsided or about to fall over. At such times a nap can reset everything but if you can't do that you can at least 'fluff' your aura and pull yourself back together. The aura fluff is simply putting your arms out and pulling the air in and fluffing it all around your body but particularly where you feel off balance. If that doesn't work, try one of the cleansing techniques such as smudging with sage or misting with essential oils in water, and then repeat the fluffing. Energetic misalignments can cause all sorts of problems and can even be photographed with a Kirlian camera setup.

After the nap and the aura fluffing, decide that your day is much better now...and then proceed as if it is. If you can pull that off, your day will indeed improve. Make sure that you do not respond in anger or impatience with customers, family or employees. Put on your best face, even if you don't feel like it. You can also joke about how you had to go reset the day since you didn't like the original presentation. Keep it light and you will start to feel better, things will go smoother, and problems will get resolved. Then give your employee a reward for being such a great asset to the company.

Take Action - Without Wearing Yourself Out

1 What's your expertise? You may say you don't have a skill or knowledge you'd call expertise. But that's not what's meant here. It doesn't mean that skill or knowledge has to be world shattering. However, it does have to be something you feel you're particularly good at, or best at, out of what you do in your business. This is important because that's what you should focus on in your business. You might feel your best skill is writing short reports, in which case you need to write more of them, sell them and scale it up. The key sign that tells you it's something you should concentrate on is that you feel really good about it and enjoy it. That feeling will be conveyed to your customers.

2 What do your customers want from you? You can ask them, set up a survey or do some research in forums and other places. You're not just after what they're vague interests or hopes are but what they'd really love to find out about, especially from you. Then, when you do the work to satisfy that need you'll know your content or product is completely targeted which makes it so much easier to accomplish and gives you a sense of achievement. Again, you need to scale it up.

3 Look at what's really turning out successfully for you. That success may be relative. That is, it's successful in quite a small way as far as your concerned, although other people might think it's nothing particularly important. However, it's obviously one of your strengths. Therefore, you should do more of it. Success makes it so much easier to continue with such work and to develop it in your business.
