The Internet Ocean: How To Catch A Home Business in 2011

The internet is a HUGE information ocean every bit as big and intimidating as its watery counter part, the Pacific Ocean. It is so vast it can be very difficult for the novice to navigate through it to find exactly what kind of opportunity [fish] he is hoping to hook. Let me use a visual analogy, if you will, to help describe how you can get to where you find exactly the kind of fish [opportunity] you are seeking. After all if you are fishing in the wrong waters or are using the wrong bait and tackle you will never find what you want.

You have decided that this year [2011] you need or want to start a home based business. You need information to help decide which one might want. You go to the HUGE internet ocean and using the "search" button rod, you cast out a one word keyword line called "business". You are virtually transported to a smaller part of this vast internet ocean called the "Sea Of Business" which is incredibly vast in its own right.

Your catching a lot of business fish but their not the kind of fish that you want. There are just to many different kinds of business fish and the type you want are not concentrated in this area of the "Business Sea". You have very limited success. You still have not found what you are seeking.

You decide to change the line your casting out to try to have a little better success. A business line did help a little so you decided to change to the "business opportunity" keyword line and try again. Again, you are virtually transported to another huge fishing area within the "Sea of Business". You start catching business opportunity fish and even some more of the "home based" business opportunity fish you are seeking but most of your time is taken up by bringing in the wrong type of fish.

Your getting a little tired and very frustrated. Deciding to take a break, you decide to look at the lines you have left to try to pick another one that might do the trick. You can tell your getting closer and that the fish you are seeking are somewhere nearby. So you put on the "home based business opportunity" line and cast it out with the search button rod. Again your virtually transported to yet another part of the Sea of Business. Viola! You are now catching "home based business opportunity" fish one right after the other. Now it is just a matter of deciding which one you want to keep. You are a happy camper--you found what you are seeking in abundance.

The moral of this story is that you must use the right exact keyword phrase line in the vast ocean called the world-wide web to catch the exact fish [opportunity] you are seeking. Otherwise your fishing in the wrong area with the wrong line and catching the wrong fish.

So if you are looking to start a home based business in 2011 you need to use the right keyword lines to find exactly what you are seeking.

Look if your honestly looking for a terrific home based business that has it all, check out the following link because it might be exactly what your seeking. You just might learn: "How to Get Paid Thousands of times a day while others do 95% of the work."

When to Stop Selling - The Art of Moving On

What is it that I mean by that?:

Is it that you can just quit selling, and you just let your site ride? No, not at all. Selling is a non-stop part in your whole life, especially in business. For example, if your kid won't eat his vegetables, you have to sell him on eating them. If you want to pick someone up in a bar, you have to sell them on you.

So, what is it I mean by stopping selling?:

Well what I mean is that you reach the point where you say that your time is being wasted by continuing to try to sell to that person or persons. It's the point where you realize that either your effort is beginning to outweigh the benefit of actually making the sale, or that this person or persons are just unsellable- just like that person in a bar. And what do you do then? You realize that there are plenty of fish in the sea, and you know when to stop selling to them and try elsewhere. I finally realized that in my business of selling people an internet marketing service, just getting people to sign up for free, no obligation information can be herculean. You explain just how great your product is and how it can benefit them in your best salesman effort, and you get nothing but initial enthusiasm that leads to nothing.

What then?:

What then do you when they still can't be bothered to put there name and e-mail address in a squeezebox? It's then time to redirect towards those who would. You realize that until you get more leverage by becoming beacon to those wanna be's when you are making the big bucks, you have to cast you bait into waters where the fish are hungry for your bait. And even then you have to learn how when someone is just nibbling with no real interest. How do you figure all that out? You have to learn from your experience, so you know better the next time. All great salespeople learn that skill that way.

Start A Business Growing Plants And Fish With Aquaponics

Starting a business can be a challenge, and much of the information about starting your own business that you will find on the Internet is no help. Most of it is just people trying to sell you gimmicks that create false hope and will distract you from the effort needed to start a real business. If you are interested in starting a real business, instead of wasting time with money making gimmicks, here is an idea with some business potential.

Aquaponics is a newly developing technology that allows people to grow plants and fish, but without all the time, labor, resources and expense of typical farming. The way it does this is to create a balanced system where plants and fish take care of one another. It is essentially taking aquaponics (raising fish) and using a hydroponic system (growing plants without soil) as a water filter to keep the fish water and tank clean.

Fish and plants together may seem like an odd pair, but they work together beautifully. Fish release large amounts of nutrients into the water, and plants are great at cleaning them up. Fish make the nutrients, plants keep the fish tank and water clean, and the pump circulates the water and nutrients to the plants and back to the tank. There is no soil, so no digging, plowing, or composting, weeds are not a factor and neither are any of the typical soil pests. After all of this, what work is left for you to do? Not much.

If you want to work hard, try growing plants in the ground or try typical aquaculture. But if you would rather focus on growing plants and fish and being productive, aquaponics is an excellent choice. Aquaponics may be a developing technology, but it is not technical or complicated to set up or maintain. It is about as difficult as setting up a common aquarium that you will find in millions of homes. Only much more productive.

The low expense and labor of growing fish and plants this way gives this kind of system a great profit potential. And since you are producing fish and plants both from the same system, you are getting twice the production possibilities from the same resources.

You can easily start small and get the feel for how these systems work. You can produce food for yourself as well as grow other products. Food fish and vegetables do great with this kind of system. Especially since they are grown in a clean organic way. growing ornamental plants and aquarium fish may even be more profitable. There are also many markets for breeding fish for stocking ponds or to sell to other fish growers.

Aquaponics has great profit potential. I am not going to tell you that you are going to make a quick killing with it. I can pretty safely assure you that you won't. But you can build a real business that can become quite profitable over time. At the least you can get a system started up that will produce fresh vegetables and fish for you and your family. And aquaponics is a whole lot of fun if you like growing things without a lot of work.

My Fish Farming Business - How Catfish Did the Job!

As an entrepreneur, I have always wanted to create an avenue where people can come and learn on some jobs. I tried so many things to make this dream come true, yet there remains a great mountain to overcome. Reprieve came when I got the vision of generating more wealth from the unused spaces at my backyard. My backyard has been playing host to so many creative works and this time, I wanted to expand my view to some other things.

Farming has been a great job for me since I was a child. I had so many gardens and they make me happy during harvest. I registered as Farmer under a co-operative society where I play a leadership role as an entrepreneur. Each time I hear the government talk about farming and the huge amount of money they spend every year in farming business. Though with all that we hear about farming, food still remain scarce. While thinking deeply about this ugly development, I remembered the number of people that prospered in the Bible through farming. Noah, Abraham and Isaac, and so many of them, succeeded as farmers. As a child of Abraham, I will truly succeed as a farmer.

At the age of six, I had a poultry farm, and it did very well for and at certain occasions, in my adulthood, I still engaged in poultry. But the miracle came when I was advised by a friend to utilize a water tank that was lying idle at my backyard. He saw that such enclosure could be made into a container structure to hold water and fish. He also advised that since fishes could survive in enclosures of brick/concrete wall, wood, fibre glass, plastic or metal, that my container is qualified enough to yield a good harvest of fish. The tank is non-toxic, non-corrosive, with a smooth interior surface. This can help prevent damage to fish by abrasion, facilitate cleaning and reduce resistance to flow.

I approached a reputable fish farmer and bought some fingerlings (baby fishes). It's now time to stock my ponds. I introduced the fingerlings into the receiving ponds early in the morning, as was instructed. Morning and evening are the best periods. It is the period when temperature is low - to prevent temperature shock. If the temperature is too high, it affects the newly introduced fish and might result their death.

Initially, I found it very difficult to sort the fishes accordingly. It is advisable that the fast growers known as "shoot-outs" are removed and transferred to another pond to allow fish of the same size to grow together. I was actually sticking to instructions. Another serious issue about my catfish business was the quality of water. Poor water quality is a serious threat to catfish in ponds. Water quality is not constant; it varies with time of the day, season, weather conditions, water source, temperature, stocking density, etc. As I took the precautions carefully, I did not lose so many of the fish.

At the time of harvest, my story truly changed and more catfish fingerlings are being bought and introduced into my ponds. Today, fish sellers, hoteliers, food vendors, caterers, etc are regular visitors to my house as result of my proper use of my backyard space. You too can become a millionaire using your backyard and abandoned containers in your house. Catfish did the job!

Fishing For the Right Business to Start Home Business Lessons From Fly Fishing in Iceland

Last month I flew to a remote river in Iceland (Vatnsdals River) to fly fish for Atlantic salmon. This exclusive group got together to fish on one of the best fly fishing rivers in the world.

In the remote wilderness and open space - I got amazing clarity and insight into deciding to start, starting and succeeding with a home based business.

When you are in such a remote place (we drove 3 hours North of Reykjavik to this river) you soon leave the pace and hustle of modern city living behind. Staying in a farmhouse right by the river and going out to fish the wild salmon (it's catch and release so no fish were harmed) provided me with three unique experiences.

1. I was privileged to be able to go and experience another part of the world where the modern world has not yet penetrated to any significant degree.
2. It was an awesome experience to be waist deep in a cold, fast flowing river communing with nature and doing battle with the salmon.
3. I had lots of time to calmly think about life, the universe and everything with none of the usual daily pressures we face!

Starting a business is also an adventure!

You get a chance to experience what most people never will...the thrill of building your own business and growing it to a successful enterprise that can provide you with time and financial freedom. Freedom to go salmon fish in Iceland if you wish!

You get a chance to battle with your competition as I battled the salmon and the river. Just as the salmon didn't always do what I expected (like jumping over my fishing line), so the market doesn't always do what you expect. You have to think, act and react to conditions and learn how to catch your fish or your customer.

You get the thrill of the chase and the exhilaration of the sale, knowing you've done a good thing and helped someone with a valuable product or service. And as you succeed you can afford to give more to your favorite charities and help other people.

As a fisherman or woman you have to learn to be patient. You have to become attuned to your surroundings and understand the habits of your prey - the fish.

As a businessman or woman you also need patience and do your homework on your market. You also need to get inside the head of your potential buyer and understand the habits, needs and wants of your market.

In Iceland, I was fortunate to have the help of experienced guides. Successful fishermen who know the water, know the fish and are masters of fishing technique. Without their help I would not have caught the fish I did.

In the same way you need a business mentor. Someone who can help you learn the business techniques that will help you in the marketplace. The parallels are very close. There's a "right way" to learn your hobby or pastime and there's a "right way" to start a business.

Make sure you get help from a "master" in whatever area of leisure or work you choose to spend time on.
