Make Money - Your Own Business - "Do Not Listen to the Snake Oil"

I have bought these packages, fully knowing that what is being peddled will in no way be as represented. So why did I buy into the instant money scheme -I am not buying into the instant money promise, I am looking for information. "Internet marketing is not easy" and I will defend that statement with my dieing breath. It is possible to make money but it requires a huge amount of research, trial and error and yes investment.

The annoying thing I find with these schemes which claim to give you the blue print, is how much is actually left out. I have an engineering back ground and if I was to use the blue prints of the quality which is flaunted as fool proof and a complete guide by the marketing people on the internet, then please do not enter or walk on a bridge built on them as disaster is the only thing to come from them.

I can already hear the shouts of slander, liable, you are disgruntled, and you do not know how to do it. Yes I do not know how to do it, but I am learning and I like the challenge of learning and seeing it to a positive conclusion. I have a website, I have some products on it that I hope to sell, and these are products that I have bought or had recommended to me. They as yet are not paying for the investment associated with the site, but with time and patience they will, I hope, reach that point. It is all down to reaching a market who wishes to buy these products.

How do you reach your market?
Use the internet. A simple statement I know. So how do you turn this simple statement into traffic? When I figure that one out, I will write another article and tell all. Yes all, I will not leave out the secret little key, the special little thing that triggers a flood of traffic to my site. Be aware that there are many people making money from internet marketing, and they will not tell you fully how they do it for fear of reducing the flow of traffic they get, and then by default their profits. Remember that special offer they proffer, is just for the beginning of the blue print, then there is the extra bit needed for building on it, then you have to buy this other piece of the puzzle, see a pattern here - before you know it to get the FOOL PROOF BLUE PRINT you have spend many hundreds of dollars and even then there is always a bit left out.

I recently read an article from some one whose writings I enjoy reading, and thought I would invest in the product being advertised. Unfortunately it turned out to be just the same as the rest. I was skeptical and trod lightly, but I thought if for no other reason perhaps this will give me information on how to get a boost in the world of internet marketing. What made me wary was the claim of fast cash - make money in two hours - big incomes for little or no return. The second I hear these statements I KNOW it's a losing project.

The way to get traffic is to design your site to be search engine friendly. I found a great product which does this, and by comparing the recommendations from this with what I have read in books by people who I greatly respect after trying and seeing their advice work I have started cleaning my site up and making it rank well. I have not released my site fully onto the internet, but already using keywords from the pages I have - they appear on the first or second pages of Google �. Now that is impressive.

Unfortunately we are constrained by the search engine sites way of doing things, so the other ingredients they require to give a good ranking are links into your site. How do you get these? Well lets see, you can spend hours searching for another site which will agree to link to you or you can write articles, like this lol, this article will not link to my site or a landing page as it is not that type of article. This article is hopefully a warning to those ready to lay out big sums of money on offers of "business in a box", "large returns fast" and any other hook line the marketers dream up.

You can try PPC (pay per click), I did this and it was beginning to work. The trick with PPC is that you have to get the keywords right, then you have to run the ad for a while and collect data on the times you convert so that the dead times (times when no sales come from clicks), can be filtered out. Unfortunately for some reason I got banned from Google �. I did not have a website at the time and my ads sent buyers to the landing pages of the vendor (an idea I got from a marketer, which I paid for). I was honest in the ads I put up, but even after many requests for a straight answer as to why I was being banned, Google would not be specific. I was lucky enough I guess on this venture into internet marketing that I ended up losing less than 200 dollars. Had it continued it would have become profitable.

Another thing which helps to rank your site is age. This I find a little strange, given the main reason people search is relevant content, but it is a search engine requirement, so register your domain and get it hosted fast, even if its not ready. Can't hurt and it ticks that box. Be careful how many times your keywords are used in the content, search engines will rank you down as spam or consider the content not to be overly relevant. Same goes for the description and content meta tags.

I am not moaning, just giving the other side of the story.
Interesting point - I bought a package, paid nearly 300 dollars for it, followed all the instructions to the letter, I even copied, yes copied some of the PPC ads which came as part of the package and got banned on Google �. When I went to find the vendor - they had been suspended from the place I purchased the package from - I do not know why - but it makes me wonder. I have bought websites from internet marketing vendors which are guaranteed to bring me income within 48 hours - the most recent was about a month ago and I am still waiting for the first sale, and I cannot find the site I paid for anywhere on the net?

This all sounds like I am moaning and being down hearted, far from it, my intention here is to say "it is worth a try, just do not waste time and money on the FAST return promises, the big incomes, the work only 2 or 4 hours a day and live in a big house, it is not there, well not in the packages that is"

The reason I do believe it is possible to eventually make an income from internet marketing is the companies who provide us, the affiliates, the products; these companies tend to deal with sales and returns in a very professional manner and they provide a ready source of new products. I have a fantastic experience of some of these and can from first hand experience say they do a Stirling job.

Massive Action - What Does it Really Mean?

Understand that I believe massive action is critical, but let's look at what it actually means. Success in network marketing requires a high degree of determination, diligence and persistence. And yes, you can call this massive action.

In case you haven't really thought about it, let's see what this term really means.

Let's take James as an case study. He's just started a network marketing business and is now a distributor for the first time.

Just like you probably were when you first got started, James is excited! Everything is fresh in his mind, he's thinking of all the possibilities and all the people he wants to share the opportunity with.

Let's see what it will take for James' success.

Well, action on a massive scale for one thing! But what does that really mean?

Let's step back and try to understand what really happens when someone joins a network marketing business.

For most individuals it is their first adventure into the world of business, entrepreneurship, or self-employment.

The majority of us arrive in network marketing having worked for someone else in an established occupation. And for many, the change to relying on their own initiative, drive and self-motivation is a significant test.

Once that initial excitement wears off, as some of the inevitable challenges surface, the new distributor must deal with his or her first real test..

Is this new distributor someone who has made a deep and meaningful commitment? Or is he or she someone who is just dabbling, just "seeing what will happen"?

So back to this idea of massive action.

One aspect is working on mindset. Does James have a success attitude? Has be been exposed to a list of great books and audio material to consume? His sponsor needs to give him some guidance in this area.

Is he willing to invest in his own learning?

What I'm assuming here is that James has set some very ambitious goals. He aims to be one of the leading earners in his organization. He wants to build a significant team in a relatively short time span.

This is where true massive action comes into play.

It comes down to a significant change in his thoughts, his daily habits, and maybe even his relationships.

Every waking minute must be focused on his new venture. Every activity, at least in the initial phases of his business growth, must be aimed at the activities that bring results. He will need to assume the mantle of leader and live and breathe it. His family, friends, and acquaintances need to see this new persona and come to understand that yes, James is serious about his business.

His entire demeanor needs to become that leader so people want to follow him. That new role needs to be evident in-person and online.

And as his organization begins to grow he must continue to grow personally as well.

James needs to schedule specific business-building time into each and every day. Time for prospecting, following up, mentoring his team, marketing, attending live events. It's not just calling one or two more prospects, it's about phoning dozens. It's not about dabbling in one or two marketing methods, it's about becoming a master at one, then moving on to master another. You get the idea.

That's what massive action really means.

So when you hear that term tossed about, think about this article.

Achieving success requires matching your actions to the size of your goals.

There is no way around this.

3. All your pages come up in one window.

This is just to cool; You can surf in tab. Which by the way is truly a great thing. With internet explorer when you click on a link, you are asked if you want to open in a new window. Firefox will allow you to open this in the same window in a different tab. So they are all right there to access easily.

Let me explain: here you are looking at yahoo.com and you want to see the sports, just use the right click on the mouse and select open in new tab and there you will have two links in the same window. Then all you have to do is click on the tab in the window to switch between the two of them.

You can have as many tabs open as you like or can handle. Book marking a tab is a better way to go. It is a smart way of keeping track of the places you want to come back to.

Very efficient when you are doing some research on several projects, or have a lot of different sites you want to remember.

4. Downloads will all go to the same place

With Firefox all your downloads will be moved automatically into a download file. Click on tools and then select download, a pop up window will appear. Simply scroll down until you find the file or program you want.Save time and a lot of headaches. For the first little while you will want to save your downloads to your desktop and then move them to a different folder of your choosing. Firefox is free to download.

Type in Firefox in your search engine and viola it is there to choose.

5. Anti virus protection You need to have this

There are lots of viruses on the net that can damage your computer just by surfing. If you don't have anti virus protection you can lose your hard drive all together. AVG is a good program to down load. Take your time when learning to surf. There is lots of information to learn when you are just starting. Relax have fun and everything will go smoothly
