How to Get a Legitimate Online Job

Is there such thing as a Legitimate online job? The state of the economy has caused many to be forced to work less hours, take mandatory days off without pay, or even lose their job. More and more families are looking for ways to supplement their income. While there are many good legitimate online job opportunities, there seems to be twice as many sketchy online job promotions popping up on the web every day. You may ask how do you weed out the scams from the legitimate. It may not be as easy as one would think, but here are a few key things you can ask or do to help you decide.

1. Does the job sound too good to be true?

Then it probably is, but not always(outrageous earnings with minimal work)

2. Do they have any positive or negative feedback about their claims?

(Search internet for articles, comments, forums on the online opportunity)

3. Testimonials

(real testimonials are important, but can be specifically selected to positively endorse the opportunity and leave out any negative thoughts)

4. Do you know someone or heard someone talk about the great online job they are doing and how it has changed their life?

(Word of mouth is still and always will be the best way to get unbiased feedback, especially if it is family or someone you trust)

Ultimately, it is always good to be skeptical and to do your homework when venturing into the online job market. There are many legitimate online opportunities on the web, so do not be discouraged because you had a bad experience with one opportunity. If you have to be at home during the day because you have childcare issues, transportation issues, or any other reason and need to supplement your family's income, then a legitimate online job could be for you. The price of gas alone could drive many to find alternatives online.

I am not a financial specialist, but I do not see the economy getting better anytime soon. It will slowly climb back up, but the job market will not fully recover for a long time. If you are fortunate to have a good job and no financial struggles then you are the minority right now and should count your blessings. the majority of us out there are struggling to keep our ship above the waterline and will be thankful for any opportunity we can get to help our family.

Four Ways to Get Freelance Writing Jobs

If you are looking to earn an income online then one of the easiest, and one that is almost instant, is to get paid for writing. You can be paid for many different kinds of content, articles, blog posts, emails, sales letters, and even complete e-books or reports. How can you find these jobs? Read on to discover four ways to get freelance writing jobs today.

1. Online freelancer portals:

One of the ways to find a writing job is to register with a freelancer portal site like elance.com. On these sites people post jobs they want completing, and you can bid to do them. As you start your career you will probably have to work for less, but as your reputation grows for providing quality work you will be able to charge a premium. One problem is you are competing with many other writers, and jobs may not come at a constant rate. You should not rely exclusively on this method for your income. If combine it with some of the other methods, your work should soon come at a steady flow.

2. Your own website:

If you build your own website you can take orders direct. It doesn't have to be expensive, you can start with a free option like a blogger blog. You can write articles and post them to article directories to drive traffic to your site. These articles can work in two ways. They will drive visitors to your website, and also will serve as a body of work you can show to prospective customers to demonstrate the quality of your work.

3. Websites in a target niche:

If you have expertise in a specific niche, then you can approach websites in that niche directly and offer your services as a writer. Often this direct approach can allow you to charge the most for your writing. If you do a good job you can pick up steady customers, ones that will seek you out for writing tasks in the future. One of the keys to success in this type of job is to build a database of satisfied customers who use you on a regular basis.

4. Micro job sites:

These micro job sites are a relative newcomer. They operate in a similar way to freelancer portals, however every job or gig is completed for a fixed price. On fiverr.com for example every job costs $5. You simply post the writing tasks you are prepared to complete for the price, and people click on it to order. Be aware the site will charge a fee, make sure you know what this will be before you post your service. The good thing is you know the money is there before you begin to write, so not getting paid is not a worry.

More jobs:

There are many more options available if you are looking for

Why Entrepreneurship?

OK. So its pretty obvious that the economy is at a standstill with all of these foreclosures and massive job layoffs. From the way that it looks, everyone is going to have learn how to accumulate assets in their life since its evident that you cant entirely rely on a job 100% for all your needs. That's why I believe that entrepreneurship is extremely imperative for the harsh times we face today. Before there's an even a remote sign that the economy is getting a little better, things will get worse. Lets face it.

Assets are very important because income needs to be generated to you full circle all of the time rather than just going to work everyday and god forbid something happens to you while you're on the clock and you get hurt. And yes....I know what some people are thinking...."I don't know how to start or run a business" or "I don't even know how or what to sell." Well first off....not every business requires you to sell something. Let's get that straight. Also we live in a world where technology is through the roof and forever growing!!!!

You have average everyday people who can make money from the comfort of their own home. Anyone can do it. Like a job, it just takes a commitment. If you want better it can be achieved. You just have to want it. You know its funny how a job determines what time you have to be somewhere, when your break is, when your break is over, what time you get off. A job basically labels your self worth. I know we as a people are worth so much more. You can't even put a price tag on the human race because we are priceless.

We all know the usual go to school, get good grades, and go to college so you can get a good job with benefits. We hear this same song time and time again. Now don't get me wrong because education is extremely important and infinite knowledge is everything, but times today are rapidly waving with much change each and every day. The question is will you be able to keep up with the currents? Maybe its just me. Maybe you actually have people who just likes physical labor for a living, and nothing is wrong with that at all.

I'm just a guy living in this world and I have yet to see what is has to offer. I want a better life. I mean who doesn't right? Business minded people completely understand my viewpoint. I just wish for everyone to develop an alternative skill in building up assets because that way you have a safe cushion at least. I strongly believe that this can be achieved by anyone. With the right training and the proper tools, I don't believe you can fail. And that's not just with business, but with life period.Yes....success may be one word, but everyone has their own definition of it is.

Antonio Purkett makes additional income part time from home in his spare time.

This extra income from home really comes in handy for paying off extra bills and is nice pocket change.

3 Ways I Make Money Online

There are many different ways to make money online.

Everyone needs to make money to live on, most people have a job that they go to each day and a boss to report to. If you are one of the many who would rather work at home, with their own hours and be their own boss then this site is for you. One of the things you will learn about in an online business is that research is important. You need to research to learn what and how to promote.

Here we will go over some of the ways for you to get out of that daily job and start your own business working at home. Just remember this will be your own business how it runs and how it makes money depends on you. It is like any other business it needs to be set up and maintained. The set up is important, as long as you do a good job on the set up the maintenance is much easier. It will run on auto pilot with just a little tweaking here and there to improve your traffic.

Here is three of the ways I use to create an income from my business of working at home.

1) Affiliate Marketing you can make money online by promoting products or services for other people or a business. There are many different affiliate programs that you can promote products for, one is called ClickBank. It is free to sign up and start promoting. The main part of this is getting traffic to your website and to get that traffic to click on your affiliate ads. When they buy the product after clicking on the ad you will get a commission from the sale of the product. This is one of the things that I make the most of my income from. It sounds easy enough to do but you need to create a blog and write articles with good content so you rank high in the search engines. The better ranking you can obtain in the search engines the better chance you have of someone looking for that product to buy from you.

2) AdSense Ads Is a program by google which allows website owners to make money online by putting advertisements in their blog or website. When someone visits your site and clicks on one of these ads, you get paid for that referral. This could be a few cents or up to a few dollars. It is free to run these ads on your website and also easy to sign up with google AdSense, I have a few sites set up with AdSense ads, and they do well increasing my income. I would recommend setting up a few websites with AdSense ads on them, it is a low cost way to make extra money. With these ads i find it best to run testing keep track of which ads are getting you them clicks. You will also be able to choose and customize these ads to fit your site, move them around and change the style to see where or what types of ads work the best.

3) Email Marketing is using email to send visitors promotions, newsletters or other materials. You create a list of subscribers from your website or by other means. Once you have their permission you can send them emails daily, weekly or monthly with promotions, special events, newsletters, or other useful information. I find email marketing to be an effective way to promote your products, if you already have a list of subscribers to send to and you do not need to pay for a list. There can be some cost when you set up an email campaign if you need to pay for a list or have a HTML email template set up it may be costly. You will also need to make sure your emails are set up correctly so the are not considered spam.

I hope my article was helpful to you. I have a free video series that will help you make money online where you can start making as much as $100 dollars a day.

Earn Money With Typing Jobs From Home: 3 Types of Jobs and What They Pay

Type Your Way to a Career

Typing jobs from home are becoming a mainstay for people who want to continue to earn income, but don't want to commute to a job. Moms that want to take care of their kids, college students that want to earn spare cash, disabled people who can't travel to work and retired folks alike have embraced the Internet to enable them to work from home typing.

There are a few items you'll need to begin typing at home, but writing opportunities are plentiful, thanks to the World Wide Web and people's ability to virtually connect to a variety of different employers.

What Kinds of Typing Jobs Are There and How Much Do They Pay?

Three of the more common categories of typing jobs from home are data entry, freelance writers and virtual assistants.

Data entry can consist of things like online surveys, placing online ads, and medical or legal transcription. As a data entry "keyer," you may enter numbers, lists of different items, customer information or medical records into forms in special software.

Data entry workers are typically trained on the job and may only be required to have a high school education. As of 2009, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics said the average salary of a data entry worker was between $13.46 and $16.03 per hour.

A freelance writer may write articles, blog and forum entries, web site text, newsletters, and e-mails. This kind of typing job requires strong writing skills in addition to typing skills. Freelance employment contracts are usually short, typically from one to three months. However, if you do a good job, you may find that the same people ask for your services over and over again, eventually allowing you to charge more money for your skill as a freelancer.

Freelancers can make between $10 and $16 an hour or more, depending upon their experience. This type of job is typically done by the project, so the amount you earn per hour largely depends on how fast your able to get things done.

A virtual assistant may perform a variety of secretarial duties such as scheduling meetings and appointments, handling correspondence, dictating letters and reports, or researching and managing projects.

All of these require:

Typing information into multiple different documents,
Utilizing word processing, spreadsheet, and data software programs.

According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics in 2009, the average salary of a Virtual Assistant was $14.93 per hour.

Where can I find freelance work?

A typical typing project can be found on one of several freelance boards. The freelance boards bring together people who post projects to be done, and creative people who bid on and complete the jobs that are posted.

Craigslist, elance.com, freelance.com, guru.com, oDesk.com, ifreelance.com are just a few examples, but there are many more. Do a Google search for "freelance," and you'll find even more options.

To locate Outsourcing Agencies that broker hundreds, or even thousands, of typing jobs, do a Google search as though you are the client who is looking for reliable typing services. The search results you will get from this will give you a highly useful list of Outsourcing Agencies who actively recruit qualified workers.

By signing with one or more Outsourcing Agencies, you likely will be assigned multiple jobs. This will enable you to take on as many hours of paid work as you want and can manage effectively ---and at a high quality level.

Get Money Today

I have been writing a lot lately on employment issues, and I have been doing some informal coaching to help folks in my Linked-In group find a job. When I suggested that a woman take a trip to see a CEO about employment, she let me know right then that she was broke, so my advice was useless. (I hate it when women tell me I'm useless.)

That's when I realized that the biggest problem of long term unemployment is a lack of money. Duh! No really. When you don't get a paycheck for months, you burn through your savings, payment deadlines get missed, and then, inevitably you have a minor emergency, like your car breaks.

But that's not the worst thing. When you have no money you can't launch your quest for a good job. You can't afford to fly out to a conference, or drive to a job fair, or even buy lunch so that you can network at Rotary.

So how can you find or earn some money today? It could be that you need to make a car payment or pay your rent. You've been unemployed for several months now, and the bill collectors are hounding you and threatening you with repossession or eviction. Or maybe you need to make a payment to keep your credit score from tanking into the 300's.

There is only one surefire way to get money today.

SELL SOMETHING

Since mankind started bartering with each other, the ability to sell products has been the key to profit and cash flow. The ancient fisherman would come to the dock in the early morning after fishing all night, knowing he had to sell his catch before noon or his fish would begin to rot.

In later years the baker had one day to sell his bread or it became too stale to sell for full price.

Americans' sales abilities started to atrophy in the 50's and 60's when the corporate business model came to prominence. Television and newspaper advertising pushed people into buying mass produced junk, and we lost that survival skill of selling.

But the world has grown weary of advertising, and so the salesman is once again coming into prominence. Newspapers are becoming like stone tablets, artifacts of an earlier age. Television ads are muted at best, or zipped through when a show is played back on the DVR. Why do people buy now?

Personal recommendations and good salesmen.

When was the last time you encountered a really good salesperson? Didn't he or she make you feel like royalty? I bought a couple of suits a few months ago, and I know I paid too much. But the salesman was knowledgeable, had a great sense of style, and made me feel good about buying high quality clothes.

What does this have to do with the unemployed? I want to convince you that the world, both buyers and sellers, is seeking out good sales people. And you can get money today by selling.

Find Items to Sell

We are talking creativity here. From my experience, creativity expands as my checking account contracts. I had a friend named Jim Danielson who could sell an airplane in one day when he was broke. He told me that when he was desperate (out of brandy) he would focus and live on the phone until he sold something. He never owned an airplane. He sold other dealer's inventory, earning two to ten thousand dollars commission.

When I was broke, I could sell a remodeling job for a contractor in one day, collect the deposit check right then, and take home a good chunk of cash. The balance of my commission was then due at the completion of the project. At other times, I would buy a load of surplus aircraft parts on credit, haul them to San Antonio, and sell them for a profit. Either activity could earn me a thousand to four thousand dollars.

The easiest items to sell are usually in your storage unit or garage. Do you really need that second or third car? How about that woodworking lathe and drill press? Or that piece of exercise equipment. (I know, if you sell that, where will you hang your clothes?)

It should be easy to generate 300 to 500 dollars or even multiples of that in a couple of days. But don't take the easy route and under price your merchandise and by all means stay away from the pawn shops. They are some of the fiercest negotiators in the world. Sell one-on-one to the end user for top dollar.

Next, look to your relatives and friends. Do they have unwanted items that they are too busy to sell? Cars, motorcycles, boats, scrap metal, building supplies, hunting equipment, golf carts, and doll collections. Offer to sell them for a 15% or 20% commission.

Last, look to your neighbors, or even strangers. I knew a man who watched the obituaries. The day after the funeral, he would go to the home of the deceased and offer to sell the furniture and/or vehicles on commission for the survivors who lived out of town. He had excellent references and was very successful.

You might know of a cluttered warehouse. Go to the owner and offer to sell the contents and clean up the place making it ready to rent. Earn a commission on sales and more money for cleaning. You take care of the sales and pay your unemployed buddies to man the mops and brooms. It's all about creativity. Where can you give valuable service?

Sell from Someone Else's Inventory

Lots of small stores can't afford a salaried salesman, but will gladly pay you a commission for anything you sell. But be sure that you pick something with a high enough value so that your commission will be worth the effort. Jewelry, collectibles, art, and high end furniture come to mind. But you can use your imagination.

Just because you are out of money does not mean you are out of options. Get out of the house, walk around your city, and see the opportunities out there. Get a couple of thousand dollars quickly so that you can continue stalking your dream job. You'll look good in your new clothes when you go to your next interview. Plus you'll have the confidence from earning good money by your own resourcefulness and hard work.

Supplementing Your Income by Working Online

Making a decent living from working online is hard work, but lots of people wouldn't have it any other way. The thrill of being your own boss is worth the work that goes into it. But a lot of people aren't interested in making their living from working online. They would just like to be able to supplement their income with online ventures. Fortunately, there are plenty of opportunities for this level of work from home.

One way to make money online from home is to sign up with one or more survey sites that pay cash. With these sites, your demographic data is used to match you up with online surveys where those conducting the surveys are willing to pay to find out your opinions. Most of the surveys take 20 minutes or so to complete, and are generally several screens of check-box type questions. Some surveys pay better than others. The typical survey will pay under $5, though occasionally you'll qualify for a survey that pays more, say, $20 to $50. These higher paying surveys may take up to an hour to complete, but as an hourly wage, it's certainly not bad.

Another way to earn extra money by working online is by freelancing. You may have skills in writing, graphic arts, programming, movie-making, translation, or some other skill that could be valuable. Signing up with most freelance sites is free, though most do offer some form of "premium" membership that lets you bid on projects that aren't open to others. You can find projects such as writing freelance articles, transcribing the words from a video to text files, designing logos, or making short promotional films. When you start out, the pay is not good. But once you show that you do a good job and get a few good ratings, you'll acquire more jobs easier, and be able to charge more for your work. Who knows? Eventually you may want to do it full-time.

Perhaps the most passive way of earning a little extra money online is by having a website and earning money from the ads that are placed on your site. Google AdSense is probably the most well-known and easy to use of these, but it's difficult to make decent money at it. You need a site with lots of traffic every day to make ads pay off for you. That means you have to maintain a site that's interesting, fresh, and popular, which is not that easy to do. You'll have to become fairly well-versed in the art of search engine optimization (SEO) to get the levels of traffic you need to make money from ads on your site.

Setting up a website as an affiliate marketing site can be a bit more lucrative than trying to earn money from ads, but you do still have to put some effort into promoting your site. The more traffic your site gets, the more people are likely to buy the affiliate product you advertise. The more people who buy the product through your site, the more commissions you earn.

The opportunities to make money online are everywhere. But they don't mean instant riches, and they do require you to work for what you earn. However, if you have the right mindset and skills, it can be a rewarding second (or even first) career.

This will not make you the richest mom, but it adds up and you could be making $500+ extra every month depending on how long and how much effort you put into it. Surveys are easy to get started since all you need to do is to apply for it and they could generate income immediately. If you like reviewing new products, some of which are not even released on the market yet, this is a great work from home option for you.

Blogging
Blogging has become increasingly popular and we see a lot of blog superstars emerging. It can be an extremely rewarding work from home job. However, do not expect immediate success. Many of the top bloggers we interview did not start making an income until they have a substantial amount of high quality post. You will need to gain your reader's trust before you sell them products related to your niche. We recommend you write about something you are passionate about. Blogging is ongoing work and you would want to write about something you know well and can talk about for a long time. The potential of blogging is high and we recommend you doing this together with the other work from home options as it would not generate income immediately. This is more of a long term option for making money online.

Creating Websites
This is actually one of the newest options that are gaining popularity. You do not actually need any sort of technical knowledge as many of the popular programs have automated systems you could run by yourself. There are however scams out there. This rel=nofollow [http://www.workfromhomejobs24.com]work from home site does a good job reviewing such sites. Many of the readers have been making $300 a day within using the system for a week and these are passive income that requires ongoing work only periodically. This is one of the newest ways to make an income online and it is a least saturated in our opinion.
