Okay, so why is it that so often when we start out in our home business journey that we end up being bitterly disappointed? The main reason is because we venture into our business without a plan. Now, let's say after doing your keyword research you discover that there are 100,000 monthly searches for all the related keywords to your business. Great! Let's for argument sake say that you are going to get about 1% of that market. That means you're going to get roughly 1,000 visitors to your site a month. Now, let's say that your average conversion percentage is about 2%. That means you're going to sell about 20 products a month. Now, let's say that your average product sale is $20. That means you're going to make about $400 a month from this business.

If you were planning to make $4,000 a month from this business, you are obviously going to be very disappointed, provided the above estimates are fairly accurate. So, in this case, you have one of three things you can do. You can revise your expectations, in order to avoid disappointment; you can decide to go into a new business entirely OR you can add another business to your model in order to make the $4,000 that you originally planned on making.

Point is, wanting something doesn't make it so. If the demand isn't there, you can't create it. And there is only so much of a market you're going to get when you're first starting out. You need to build trust before you start getting a larger share.

Yes, unfortunately, when expectations meet with reality, the end result is often not pleasant. By following my simple advice above, you can avoid walking away from your business plan with a long face.

Running Out of IPv4 Addresses in Less Than One Year

This has happened due to the exponential increase in mobile devices connecting to the Internet and the annual growth in user-generated content on the Web. In the next few years there will be a huge increase of devises that will be connected to the internet, such as smart grids, RFID and other nifty gadgets that connect to the internet.

Currently the Web largely uses IPv4, Internet Protocol version 4. Each IPv4 address is limited to a 32-bit number, which means there are a maximum of just over 4 billion possible unique addresses.

So how about IPv6?

IPv6 is the next generation Internet Protocol and uses a 128-bit address, so it supports a vastly larger number of unique addresses. Enough, in fact, to give every person on the planet over 4 billion addresses each. Researchers have been working on IPv6 for more than a decade, but adoption has been slow and most content providers probably don't even know what IPv6 is.

Google and other big content providers are an obvious exception. Google has already put the majority of its services onto IPv6. Declaring its support for IPv6 on a special webpage, Google states that "IPv6 is essential to the continued health and openness of the Internet [and] will enable innovation and allow the Internet's continued growth."
