Newbies Deciding on a Profitable Online Business

So for someone who is new to the world of making money online and fulfilling a desire to have a business and a successful one, just where do you start?

Do you follow the crowd? Do you align yourself with a market? Do you go into this alone/on your own?

If you do go into a particular market, which one? Or should follow your passion and explore making your passions/hobbies your online business?

The other question that may come to mind and that I too query is, what about affiliate marketing and joint ventures? Those words get thrown around on the internet are painted with either a positive or negative slant.

When this whole adventure can feel somewhat isolating at the start, an understanding and an open mind is needed. It is difficult to distinguish between what is authentic, long-lasting and worthy of your time and precious resources.

I do not consider myself an expert nor a guru in this field but I can share according to my experiences some helpful tips and pointers to the right direction.
I have four important guidelines.

Firstly I like to go to blogs and forums in the field of internet marketing and online businesses to check out what people are saying and experiencing. This gives you a real feel for different markets, passions or hobbies you are interested in, thus allowing you to make more of an informed decision.

Secondly there are two important phrases or sayings that have stuck with me over the years in regards to making a profitable online business and they are:

If you solve peoples problems, you will go a long way, as we all encounter problems and many people are searching the net for answers to their problems. So if you can provide the solution through the tools of information or software this will be highly profitable for you and beneficial for your online customers.

If others are making money so can you. I guess this phrase answers the question of do you follow the crowd or align yourself with affiliate marketing? There is a great number of people who search online everyday and the number continues to rise as access and affordability becomes easier. Therefore as users increase so too does opportunities. I believe affiliate marketing can work as these opportunities ever the more increase.

Thirdly, reviews. This neatly ties up everything in a bow of what I have been writing. It is most important to review the trends, the hot markets and niches. Reviews allow the space for authenticity and the potential for growth or a true reflection of what is working and what is not working. Very helpful to obtain that feedback so as to know where to invest your time and resources.

Fourth point is, in my opinion, I don't think it is healthy (at least for newbies) to venture out on their journey alone in this massive industry. There are some really great expert leaders who you can glean fresh, honest information and experience from. Even these expert leaders mastermind with each other often venturing out into new online businesses together, inviting others to join them along the way. I guess this brings me back to checking out forums and the reviews. You will certainly get a feel for what is happening and see how you too can join in on the journey.

In the town where I live there are quite a few pizza take always and it was in the newspaper just a short while ago that the oldest pizza place in town was shutting down and the owner of the store said that he was closing up shop because he could not compete with the new pizza places. Because they was using the internet to sell their pizzas and he didn't know how to do it.

So why do I mention that? Here's why:

A lot of people who want to start their own business think 'well I want to work close to home so I don't need the internet' guess what although eBay sells worldwide did you know that they are also the largest seller of used cars in the world? They sell a used car every 90 seconds day and night, they are also the largest seller of real estate in the world as well...

You can then adjust, tweak and make improvements depending on the numbers.

Number two is following up from the first point. You can't know what really works unless you can measure it. If you guess you'll most likely be wrong. See what's working and do more of it. What's not working can be dropped. Remember that only 20%, or some other small figure, of your efforts will produce most of your positive results. You need the numbers to see which ones they are.

Number three is that even content marketing needs to be measured by numbers. Bloggers, emailers and article writers, for example, may think all they have to do is to create great content and all will be well. But without figures, like number of readers, you're just guessing if the market thinks any piece is great content. Only the judgment of your market matters.

The first thing is getting your flock NPIP certified. There is at least one agent in every State. They come and check your flock for all the disease that can wipe out your flock or get you in trouble. In addition to that fact, it is always nice to know that you are selling the highest quality of quail.

That little sign that says NPIP certified can do a lot to help your quail business, give you peace of mind and help somewhat with the FDA when selling your quail for meat.

When you start your quail business, you will need a business license, most States require a special commercial permit, and you should have some type of insurance. I would also suggest separating yourself from your business as two individual entities.

4. Can you personally contact the company as opposed to email? (It's always good to speak to someone)

5. Avoid opportunities that offer the promise of making loads of money in 24hrs. Although they sounds great, my philosophy is, if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is.

6. Does the company have a comprehensive "in demand" portfolio of products that you can resell?

Massive Action = SUCCESS

Once you have the right vehicle with the right support and are prepared to commit your time on a regular basis, you have the right formula for success. But this does not happen without hard work.

If you want to work from home on the internet and be successful, you need to be prepared to ACT and work consistently towards your goals.

No matter how many courses you buy or study, you will NOT see success until you start taking action and PRACTICING.

It goes without saying, but so many people are stuck in the afraid mindset - afraid to TRY.

Scared of writing a terrible article? Write it anyway. Do it daily and publish it to hundreds of sites...soon you won't care, then you'll find that your work gets better because you are less worried about it.

Making Money Using An Online Coach

Instead of earning a below average income and not getting the results you want, you will be shown ways to earn an above average income and finally fulfill your dream of being your own boss.
