Obviously, the ability to weather any financial storm depends on how prepared you are when the storm hits. Look around your house. Where can you make some small changes? Is your family willing to make certain sacrifices?

Instead of going to dinner and a movie, could you pick up a take-n-bake pizza and rent a movie? Make it fun for your family. Get a "do-it-yourself" pizza and let the kids pick the toppings. Are you using your credit cards like an extension of your paycheck? You need to think of credit cards as emergency money only! Do you have a bartering network in your neighborhood? Can you trade services for labor or vice-versa? Do you have a website in your area for swapping gently used toys, books, clothes, furniture, etc. If you don't have one, is it feasible to start one?

Are you a successful gardener? Do you can your fruits and vegetables? Can you sell those in your neighborhood, at a farmer's market or farm stand? Not everyone is a successful gardener and people love canned fruits and vegetables. Is this a viable option for you to make some additional income?

Are you crafty? Would it make sense for you to sell some of your crafts? If you have people telling you how much they love the items you've made, you should look into selling them. Not everyone is crafty, but almost everyone likes crafted gifts! Can you sell your items at craft shows, farmer's markets, online?

Do you eat lunches out often? Are you buying lattes and coffees every day? You could be spending $15-$20 every week just on lunches and coffees. Examine your petty cash expenditures and then cut back. Use the extra money to put toward your credit card balances. An extra $80 to $100 monthly goes a long way to get a balance paid down.

Could one of you possibly work from home? Is it a financial possibility? Working from home saves money on child care, dry cleaning, gas for the car, purchased lunches, etc. Imagine, no commute and no child care expenses!

Even in these uncertain times, there is no reason the average family can't take some small steps to ensure their own financial security. Adopting better spending habits will not only help you through this economy, but it can be empowering. Good financial habits last a life-time!

My Idea of a Home Business

Not only because you will be able have more time with your family but also because this time will be of high quality. Who can forget a time when coming from work just look to avoid to play with your kids because you are too tired or what is more common, do not treat them they way you should or would like to, because your body can not hold the amount of stress and just led it go to your love ones.

We should consciously asked our self every morning: Am I on my way to happiness? If you can not answer this question as simple as it is, then you are not.

That is how I came across with this idea that might sound crazy to you: The first step to happiness is having a Home Based Business. Why? Everyone has a very different idea of life and what will complement that life to be as happy as you can be.

My idea of happiness is:

1. Be myself, every time, everywhere. Have that connection within me that majority us have lost somewhere, when the heart says what the soul believe is the correct word and the body obeys.

Why should I be stress for someone else money when I can control more the stress that will be coming from my own business and work?.

What is Wealth? Owning Your Home Based Business

"Wealth is the ability to fully experience life." - Henry David Thoreau

I believe that the above things are a part of your wealth... But, I believe there are four key parts to attaining true wealth. The first factor is your stuff. Having the freedom to own things and be able to purchase not only the items you need, but the things that make you happy. You might want a brand new sportscar, or a big house on the lake, and it's okay to want and have these things. There is however, more to having true wealth.

The second thing that I value in my wealth is the freedom of time. Since i work from home and I am my boss, I can choose to not go into work every now and then. I have the ability to travel and be with my family. I can take my job with me wherever I go and still be successful. This part of my wealth isn't found by most corporate employees. If you have to work 9-5, five days a week, then you don't see this side of my happiness.

Next we have relationships. This is a two part deal. The first is the relationship with your family. I am truly blessed to be able to work alongside my father and brother in internet marketing. The bond you have with your family is so important and if you aren't working alongside your family then you are really missing out. The become accountability partners with my job and we all make sure that we stay efficient in what we do. The second part of relationships, is the one you have with the big guy upstairs. I have a very strong relationship with God and I know for a fact that this is why i am successful. The happiness I have found just by being close to my savior is so great and I can't explain it.

To wrap things up, I encourage you to strive for all four of these wealth components. I have found true happiness in everything I have and I hope that you will soon comprehend what it takes to have true wealth.
