To become a doctor you would need to go to Medical School for a number of years and then go through an intern program to gain experience. After completing the fore mentioned and the appropriate examinations you would become a medical doctor. At this level you would be a general practitioner earning x amount of dollars per year. You also have the option to specialize even further, let us say you wanted to become a heart surgeon. You would continue your education and then intern under a heart specialist to gain the skills needed to become a heart surgeon and once achieved you would be earning x amount of dollars per year. As a specialist you would earn a higher income than if you remained a general practitioner. The point is that you specialize to become a doctor and can further specialize to be a surgeon and are monetarily compensated accordingly.

When it comes to network marketing so many tend to think that they can just ride the wave of success without the necessary education and skills. Why should it be any different than becoming a doctor? It is not!

If you have the desire to be a network marketer, with dreams to fulfill, then begin your journey with the aim of being educated and learning the skills. You need to be educated to be able to make an informed decision, whether it is picking out a company that will provide what you need to fulfill your dreams or knowing what to do to after you have joined a company. You need specialized knowledge to succeed in any endeavor, begin on the right foot, be a student with an open mind.

Where should you look to find the education and the skills? As a medical student you learn from experienced doctors as well as material written by those in the field. In the network marketing arena you need to find a mentor and not just any mentor. The mentor you choose should be building their business today and are successful today, not just in the past. Many things change over time, so has the way network marketing is done. If the mentor you choose is using old school methods that do not work today, you will find yourself struggling. It is very important to choose the right mentor, one that is successful today.

If you wanted to be the best heart surgeon in the world what would you do to achieve this goal? Would you look for the best heart surgeon today and learn from them? To be the best you need to surround yourself with the best, learn the same skills they have acquired from experience. You would be learning the specialized knowledge and skills from them and on your way to being the best also.

To be a successful network marketer you need to surround yourself with the best the industry has to offer, sit back, observe and learn the strategies, methods and tools they use to build their business with success. A great mentor has so much to offer and pass on to you as a student. Open your mind to training, self development and the personal relationship you will gain. One of the added bonuses that you will gain will be a mastermind group who will be committed to achieving the same goals, personal development, encouraging and being in harmony with your aspirations.

How will you know if you you have found the right mentor? Take the time to do your research on the mentor you have chosen. Do they have integrity and ethics? Make sure that they have built a downline and are still building today. A great mentor will take the time to hold your hand while you are learning, make themselves available to you and treat you as a team member.

Remember, if you gain the right education and skills today, you will be on your way to a successful tomorrow.

How to Balance Work and Life in a Home Based Business

But my heart was pulling at me to get myself to the school, and my head was screaming at me to stay home and get prepared for the call. In the end, as it usually always does, the quiet yet insistent stirrings of my heart won. I remembered that this is why I have my home-based business, so that I can be there for my children. And I went.

And boy am I glad I did! This year the event was very different, it was much, much longer, and maybe just a tad longer than I expected a 6yr old to run, but it was so exciting!! He ran his little heart out! And I felt like I was right there with him. It was exhilarating!

His dad was there too. He also runs his own business, and how wonderful that we both can choose to attend these events, and oh my god, the rewards!! They might not be financial, but something much, much more fulfilling. My heart, my mind, my body and my soul are singing to the tune of complete and utter happiness. My being is totally expansive and all I want to do now is express that. Hence, my creativity is pouring out these words as I write.

In my line of work this state that I find myself in is called congruency. Every part of me is singing a happy song because I am fully aligned with my number one value as a mother who acted in accordance with that value and put her family first. As a life coach this is THE reason I do what I do, to assist my clients to BE more of who they really are.

My clients come to me because an area or areas of their lives are not working for them. If they are spending much of their time doing things that don't bring them joy and feeling limited and small as a result then it's more than likely there is a values conflict at play, because after all values determine where and how we spend our time.

Imagine, for a moment, what the scenario might have been if I didn't go to my son's cross country event. This is how it would have played out... I would have been on my computer listening to the call, but not really present. I would have been fretting about what I was missing and worse, I would have been fully conscious of the fact that even though consciously my son said he didn't mind me not being there, his unconscious mind would have noticed and stored that information in the "mother wasn't there file". So then I would have felt guilty and more than likely I would be very critical of myself. It would have been a very different outcome.
