Penny Auctions EXPOSED

Penny Auctions have exploded in the last year, and unfortunately many thieves have taken this popularity and launched fake penny auction sites or sites that employ bots (automatic programs that drive up the prices).

As an internet marketer I have seen more than my fair share of shady websites offering "free trials" or "how to make $$ online" but I feel the need to explain that not all penny auctions are scams.

There are several legitimate companies that do not use bots and are NOT scams, they have a strong community and offer exceptional products and customer service.

However, even these legitimate sites are hard to spot, one reason is that because of their popularity they have many new users who may not fully understand what the rules of these penny auctions are and how they work. What happens in many cases is a user will see an advertisement online that says "Get a MacBook for $11" and they assume that they can sign up and buy a MacBook for $11. You have to play, its entertainment shopping, and you can get deals, if your patient. This is one of the reasons that penny auctions always, no matter no legitimate they are, always have a ton of bad press.

Its important to know what Penny Auctions actually are.

basically when you sign up you are prompted to make an account and buy bids, this gets most people thinking there is something fishy. But, penny auctions unlike eBay work like this. You buy a pool of bids (usually for $0.60 a bid) and you place those bids at auction.

These websites also differ from eBay because the auctions do not have a set ending, its modeled after the traditional live auction. When you place a bid a small amount of time is added to the clock allowing other bidders to continue.

Its a game of wits and patience but it is not rocket science.

One of the most successful strategies is to wait until the last second or two and then place your bids. Also as convenient as auto bidders are you should avoid them as they bid instantly and do not wait until the last seconds.

Another solid tip is to research what the product has sold for recently, unfortunately it's usually the iPads or the MacBooks that gets everyone and their mother bidding. If the last iPad sold for $50 don't start bidding at $10 wait till it reaches it upper level until you bid.

So how do you tell if an penny auction is legitimate?

I highly recommend you do some research on what sites are real before you sign up with your hard earned money, Read reviews, ask your friends and look at the site carefully. One of the biggest tricks is the big ticket winners. The infamous Honda civic for $1100 is a great example. now I want to say I can say I have confirmed that at least two cars have been won. One on the now defunct (and shady) SwipeBids and the other on the largest penny auction website Quibids. If you see a site that is not Quibids showing a car or multiple cars as winners, take a step back and do some research before you sign up.

If you are looking for a deal don't be afraid of penny auctions, just be informed!

Self Help For Felons

How Felons of Ex-Offenders Can Navigate the System

How many times have you been told that "the position has been filled already.", or "We'll give you a call when we've decided on a candidate."? Just to let you know, you're not alone.

It's an unfortunate fact that many people who have "paid their debt to society" continue to be punished by that same society simply because they have a criminal record and have served time.

You see the stories on the news programs and hear about them in community meetings of how many people, who have been "rehabilitated" and released, end up going back into the joint because "they return to their old way of life". However, it's rarely explored as to why people return to a way of life that caused them so much trouble in the first place.

One of the hardest things for that ex-offenders might find is not just getting a job that treats them well and that they can actually make a decent living, but making a smooth transition back into "normal" society.

Life on the inside is worlds apart from life on the outside.

If many of these repeat offenders were asked why, the answer would probably sound something like this: "I tried to make it on the outside, but I couldn't find a job. I couldn't make any money because no one would hire me. So, I went back to what I know. That's how I always made my living."

It is hard enough to try to fit back into "normal" society after getting out of prison. It's even harder to try and find a job in a place that wants you to "fit in" with that society. Many employers don't want to take the chance to hire an ex-offender because they don't want to lose business, or, they really don't trust them.

Most ex-cons know that people don't trust them. They are able to feel the pressure of having to live up to some imagined standard that it seems that no one else has to. This is even added pressure. "One false move and I'll get canned" is what a lot of ex-convicts think. If that happens... What will the parole officer think or say?

If the pressure of having to go through all of that was removed, how would the ex-con feel? If they were able to earn more than minimum wage doing something that they were comfortable with, how easy would it be to make the transition and fit into society? How much pressure would be relieved? Wouldn't it make dealing with people a whole lot easier? How would your parole officer treat you if you were able to show them that you were doing something productive?

What if the ex-con didn't have to worry about impressing "the boss"? What if you knew that your job interview was going to be a breeze? What if you were your own boss?

As little as 20 years ago, the idea of being your own boss took a whole lot more than it does now. Not only did you have to have a lot of equipment, but most of the time, you had to "qualify" for a small business loan. That was almost impossible for most felons to achieve simply because they didn't have a good track record of credit or good references.

Today, however, it's a different story. Since the rise and explosion of the internet as a business tool, starting an online business is incredibly easy for several reasons.

Reason 1. The internet is so pervasive that it reaches to almost every corner of the globe. Even into prison. Anyone can get online today to either, buy, sell, or research any product that they want. If you had a product that you wanted people to have, you could use the internet as a delivery vehicle. In many cases, you don't even need a website.

Reason 2. Online business transactions are continuing to explode. People are buying anything from Christmas gifts to health insurance online. People buy their travel tickets and have their baby diapers delivered with online services.

But, not only do individuals buy online, but businesses buy online too. Think about how many boxes of copy paper most businesses buy. Do you think that the secretary runs out to the store and loads up the trunk of you little Honda Civic? No. She get's online, orders it, and has it delivered.

Reason 3. The internet is extremely easy to use. This 'user-friendliness' is another thing that makes it easy for anyone to start their own online business. There are tutorial sites all over the internet to show anyone how to use almost any particular product. In fact, most products that you will need in your business will have instructions as to how to use it. If you have any problems, most products and services will have "tech support" to answer any specific questions you may have.

Reason 4. This is probably the second most important thing that an ex-offender will like about starting a business online: The start up costs is ridiculously low. If you have a credit card with a $1000 limit, it would be more than enough to get your business off the ground.

Reason 5. This is the reason why Ex-Cons and felons need to think about starting an online business: You are your own boss. You are the employee of your own online business. No need for an interview. No need for a resume. No need for another "uniform". No need to "fit in".

I don't want to give you the wrong impression. Starting an online business won't be as easy as some people make it sound. But, it's incredibly easier than trying to start a traditional "brick and mortar" business, or buying a franchise like Subway. All you need is a computer, a good internet connection, and a little money and you can be in business this week.

If you want to find out how you can change your life permanently then watch the video on this website. Take back the rest of your life and live it on your terms.
