How Your Attitude Affects the Success of Your Home Business

With so many people on the internet throwing all sorts of different methods of making it with your online business how do you figure out what is right? The information on the internet is endless and much of it can be contradictory to what others are saying. How do we choose? Are you getting overwhelmed? Take a deep breath and relax, just step back for a moment and take a look at what is before you and remember... You joined this race for you and your family, to make a better life for all involved. Perhaps you joined up so you could get out of your day job and perform your work from home, there are many reasons why different people turn to the internet to earn a living.

There have been several times when I questioned myself and asked 'Is this really worth it, am I ever going to get anywhere with this?' One of the obvious answers is if you just throw your hands up in the air and say 'That's it, I've had enough'; of course you're going to fail, perhaps without ever having put in a valiant effort. I've been at it a few months now, yes only a few months and I am beginning to see a better trend. We must understand that for 99.9% of us this is not going to happen in a matter of a couple of weeks; contrary to what some of these advertisements may tell you.

We must stay realistic as to what our ultimate goals are; as for myself I only want to make enough so I can be done with my day job. I don't aspire to become a millionaire, I do aim to remove myself from working for someone else and being able to support myself comfortably with a home based business. So, forget the hype that you are spoon fed and get into the trenches with the rest of us and start your research; be courageous.

Don't put all of your eggs in one basket, set out a few bread crumbs here and there, experiment with different techniques and methods of advertising. I'm an affiliate of several different outfits, I have a few websites of my own, I have also joined an MLM and pay a small monthly fee to retain my status. I buy into a Co-op that generates people for my down-line; yes there is a cost but I look at the big picture; with a bit of time and effort I may get some movers and shakers who join up beneath me.

Nothing is guaranteed but if we do not try we will never reach our ultimate goal. If you despise the job you presently go to, don't think 'Well maybe I'll just find a better job and I will be happier there?', maybe you will be and maybe you won't, as a matter of fact it could turn out that your new job is worse than your present one. Newness wears off and the grind sets in again. When we are unhappy about our situation in life it is up to us to fix it; get out of the cycle that we are stuck in and work towards what we truly want.

As the title states it is All About Attitude, if we think we are going to fail before we even start are we really all that motivated to get anywhere? Motivate yourself, envision what you hope to achieve for your family and be realistic in what you visualize. Work at it, make the time, we all have our own ideas and it could be that one of your ideas is a good moneymaker.

If you feel yourself starting to get a negative attitude tell yourself to stop and re-think the reasons why you started; it's worth the effort and nothing great ever comes easy. Keep your goals in sight and don't let go, if one method fails there are many more that you can and will try... keep on trying until you find something, just one thing that works for you.

I can't say that all I am doing is free but at present I have that bit of capital that I can invest without any distress experienced. I admit I do live frugally, not because I am poor, just because I do not wish to waste my money. If you are going to spend your money on marketing methods or the like please make sure you do your research, find reviews of the product or information; find a few reviews and see if they conflict with one another.

If you want to be a part of a larger group and feel you need some direct tutoring there are many of these groups available; I would suggest finding a forum where people discuss their experiences and read up on what they have to say. There is a lot of information available to us, we simply have to seek it out.

Have faith in yourself, keep your attitude in check, keep a screw driver handy in case the old attitude needs adjusting from time to time; stick with it, expand your mind and then expand your bank account.

How to Keep Your Home Business Organized

Knowing how to keep your home business organized and taking some steps to do just that will save much time and frustration later on. At times, people jump into running a home business only to find themselves in a mess of clutter and disorganization. Don't let that happen to you.

Have you ever spent hours trying to find something? That can be such a time-waster that can easily be avoided by some simple filing. Get a small file cabinet and file your documents so that when you need something, it will be at your fingertips.

Having your work area cluttered creates a cluttered mind. Trying to work with a mind that is less than focused is so unproductive. When you get your workspace organized, you will get your mind organized along with it.

Here are some simple things you can do to keep your home business organized.

Take Notes

Has this ever happened to you? You have to do a task that you don't know how to do. So, you spend quite a bit of time researching it and finally figure it out. Then, a couple months later, you find you need to do the same task. If you didn't take notes the last time, you are back at the drawing board - researching how to do it again.

A simple solution is once you have figured it out, write down the steps you took. The next time you need to do the process, you will have it all spelled out and you can just "zip through."

Keep A Record of Logins

Trying to retrieve login information is such a time-waster - looking for logins, emailing to get them again, waiting for the emails to come back. Start an Excel spreadsheet or Word document and record all of your logins to membership sites, affiliate sites, article directories and other places that require a login.

While you are at it, if you do affiliate marketing, also keep a record of your affiliate links. Having them all in one place will make it easy to go and retrieve one when you need it.

Keep Your Workspace Organized

Keeping your workspace clean and organized will go far in keeping your mind uncluttered and "cobweb free." Organize all of your little pieces of paper that you have scribbled "to do" notes on. Take care of the tasks one by one and then throw away the papers.

Get some spiral notebooks help keep the notes from teleseminars and information products organized and accessible. If you work in different niches, have a notebook for each niche.

Keep a calendar handy and mark down any important things to remember. You can record client appointments, webinars you want to attend, etc. and then be sure to check your calendar at the start of each day or the night before.

These are some simple tips on how to keep your home business organized. Take a little extra time to work on it now, and you will find you are more productive later.

7 More Tips If You Want to Make Money at Home Online

The reaction to my article yesterday on 7 Tips if You Want to Make Money at Home Online has been great! It obviously touched a nerve and prompted a great response from readers who have come back with their own tips. So, thank you and I promised I would share these, so here they are!

Set regular hours: Be disciplined about the number of hours you will work every day and be very clear about your start and end time. Don't get into the habit of starting and finishing "when the mood takes you" A sure-fire way to end up getting nothing done and feeling frustrated.

Close your door: When working from home, having an "open door" policy that is much vaunted in the office workplace simply does not work. You need to close your door to separate you from the rest of the house, which is clearly not a workplace.

Set down rules for others: Just because you work from home does not make you available on a permanent basis, either to your children or your partner. You need to set down rules and boundaries for the others who share your home as to when they can and cannot interrupt you. Unless you do this you will be driven to distraction and your ability to focus on a particular piece of work will be impossible.

Keep work area tidy: This came in from quite a lot of people who make their money at home online, or even offline, and I do go along with it. An untidy workspace leads to untidy work. You know that sounds like something my poor old mother used to say and I would roll my eyes up to heaven when she said it, but it is true. Have a clear workspace and file everything away where it should be. One thing I do really agree with is that your desk is the worst filing space you have!

Keep going even if it's tough: You will have the days when you just don't feel like it. You are just not in the mood, and you just cannot seem to get any good ideas. Do not goof off and justify it by declaring that your creative juices are just not flowing today! The old saying "when the going gets tough, the tough get going" has to kick in here. Even if you feel completely empty, stick to your routine. Running away from any problem never solved anything, so be resilient.

Keep an ideas notebook: I think this is a great one! Keep a notebook handy at all times where you can jot down some ideas or thoughts that pop into your head. If you don't write them down, the chances are you will forget them and that is an awful waste of an idea! Sometimes your best ideas just come in flashes when you are doing something completely different. Do not lose those ideas, but you will if you have not got somewhere to capture it. Great idea from one of my readers!

Allocate routine tasks to specific days: This is a really good discipline, and, being honest, it has come from a reader, not me! The suggestion is that we have routine tasks - like doing our accounts, measuring our key statistics, filing away stuff, and other things that we must do on a weekly basis. Set out a particular day in the week when these are done and be diligent about it. I think this is a good idea and a Friday afternoon seems like a good time for me to do these things. The advantage is that I can then start my weekend knowing that those routine tasks have been dealt with for this week.

Thanks to all of you for your response and keep them coming. As you send me more little nuggets that help all of us that want to make money at home online, I will share them with everyone. The challenge now is not just to nod your head in agreement at some or all of them but to decide which ones you are going to take as your own and improve your performance.

Tips for a New Momentrepreneur!

1) Learn to say NO! When you are a first time or even new mom entrepreneur, there will be people or even close family members who will not take you or your business serious. They will still require you to do all of the things that you use to do, while in the corporate world. You will really have to become tough and say No. It's o.k. to value your time and your work because if you don't value what you do, how do you expect someone else to. One of the things, I do on a regular basis is keep a to do list on hand. When I complete a task, I cross it off and put a star by it. This really helps me to feel like I've accomplished something for that particular day.

2) Delegate your work load around the house. What I mean by this is if you have a spouse, children or parents around. Ask them to help you with giving certain people a chore to complete. Now, I know for myself, I often times bribe my babies (5 and 3 years old) to help keep their room clean. By doing so, I either treat them to the red box for one of the latest kids movies, or take them to the playground at McDonalds. Be creative when it comes to your kids. It all depends on the age bracket. Now, with my husband, sometimes, I ask him to do a couple of loads of cloth to help keep them down to a load or two. Most of the time, if he's at home, like the weekend, he will keep the kids down stairs or take them for a ride, so I can focus on my reading or getting things ready for the upcoming week. I don't work per say with my business but, catching up on blogging and making videos.

3) Surround yourself with a positive network or group of people. When you are starting a new business or just adding new ideas to your existing business, it's almost a must have to stay positive and have your closest circle of friends and family members be positive as well. You can join various groups on Facebook, or other ning social networking groups. When you are looking for groups to join, try searching groups within your niche or targeted marketed. I can tell you from experience that when you surround yourself with like minded people, you will be amazed at all the great resources and knowledge that you will gain. I mean I have been a member of CEOMamma since October of 2010 and by now my head should be biggest as an elephant from all the great knowledge and resources that I have obtained.. I would suggest joining some of these groups mentioned above to fellowship and share your experiences. You never know, someone just might have the answer to a question that you just can't seem to find an answer to.

4) Take care of your health! Yes, I said it. See as mothers we always tend to get caught up in taking care of everyone and everybody else, that we tend to forget about self. Well, I'm here to tell you that a hard head makes a very soft behind (my mama use to say). Your body needs rest, and plenty of it. If you have infants in the house, it is detrimental that you get as much rest as possible because you WILL most definitely need it. Get your regular pap smears, visit your doctors on a regular basis. Most importantly, eat a balanced meal daily and drink plenty of water. Now, I'm guilty of this, I sometimes have forgotten to drink water, not because I don't like it, but because I have started my day off getting everything on my to do list done, and taking care of everyone else and have not even looked at a bottle water. I'm working on this. I now keep a bottle water by my bed and on my desk in my office.

5) Make room for emergencies! What I mean by this is always be flexible. Leave room for the oh so sweet surprises or emergencies. For example, last week, my son had a horrible nose bleed and he had to picked up from school and rushed to the emergency room. When I tell you, I had to keep my cool, and try to look like I was calm for my babies sake. He was all panicky and scared, so like any mother would do when something is wrong with their little people, be brave and show no fear. Believe it or not, kids can sense when something is not right. But, thankfully, everything is fine and my little Ishmael is back to his normal big self. Speaking of that, we just played with the bubbles. "who can blow the biggest bubbles". Now, that's the joy of being your own boss and not having to explain yourself or give an explanation for your reasons for having to leave work to attend to an ill child.

I do hope these tips will allow you to take a deep breath and to help you have a smoother journey on your way to the Donald Trump Level!! I want to hear from you, let me know your concerns and struggles. If this has helped you in any way, feel free to tweet this and share it on Facebook. Until next time, God Bless.

Best Wishes,
LaTersa Blakely http://www.diapercakesbylatersa.blogspot.com

Top Tips on How to Earn Money From Home

Anyone who is looking for quick and easy ways to make money from home should follow these tips to make it successful and profitable. Let's get straight down to it:

Learn how to start a freelancing business:

This is much easier than you might think. You can use freelancing websites to find the jobs and skills that are in high demand and then set yourself up to offer these services. To be an article writer you don't need a degree in journalism, simply the ability to write as you would speak and with very few spelling and grammar errors. To be a virtual assistant you need to be able to make phone calls, organise meetings and plan ahead - everyone does this for their own lives so why not get paid to do it? These are just some ideas on how to earn money from home, there are many more.

Take advantage of freelancer sites:

Of course there are lots of ways to find and attract clients including search engine optimisation techniques, AdWords, offline advertising and other marketing methods. When you are just starting out however the easiest and quickest way to find clients is through freelancer sites. The clients are there, ready and waiting with work that needs doing. This is a great way to get your business started and you can always come back to the traditional methods of finding clients at a later date.

Always follow up:

When you have a bit from a potential client, always try and keep them interested. Send an email every now and again to "check in" and see if they want to proceed with the project. Offer a half price trial to get the ball rolling (I do this and it works well). When you submit a proposal on a project displayed on a freelancing site, always follow up with the buyer if no one has been awarded the project. Often they have simply not got around to choosing someone and the gentle nudge is a great help.

Offer free work or half price trials:

This may seem counter intuitive, but often when I've done a small amount of half priced or even totally free work, it has paid off in the future with a large order. Although you might not like receiving nothing in the short term for your hard work and effort, think long term and what the future may bring.

Be clear on your rates and include bulk discounts:

Having clear cut rates is important. Clients want to know where they stand and what they are getting for their money. It is much more time and cost effective to retain a client than go out and find another, so you want to keep the one or ones you have as long as possible. By offering bulk discounts, discounts on repeat work or a staggered payment system you are more likely to retain your client. For example as an article writer you might offer a staggered rate system such as:

10 - 20 articles - $20 per article
21 - 30 articles - $17 per article
31 - 40 articles - $14 per article

This encourages them to offer you a greater amount of work. You could also offer an x% discount on the next project. Be a bit creative but try and keep it as simple as possible.

Offer ongoing services to your clients:

As mentioned already, once you have a client you really need to keep them. By offering ongoing services you also stand in good stead for hanging on to them. For example, if you were an seo article writer you could offer an ongoing monthly package that included a bundle of articles and submissions to article directories too. If you were a virtual assistant you could offer a monthly package deal that included x number of tasks carried out (making reservations, doing market research, making phone calls etc) for a fixed price. If you were a web designer you could offer ongoing web updating and maintenance or even server hosting. As an SEO consultant you could offer ongoing social media marketing or onsite optimisation. When I was learning how to make money online for free this was one of the most useful bits of information I learned.

Carry out email campaigns to find clients:

It might seem a little bit scary at first, but as I call it "cold emailing" is a great way to find clients. Include in the email who you are, what services you offer and most importantly how these can be of benefit to them. Some emails will be ignored, others will be replied to with a thanks but no thanks, but some will come back and ask for your rates. At this point you really need to sell yourself so ensure you have your deliverables in front of you and your rates and services organised.

Start a blog:

Everyone always gives this advice, but it does work. You don't need your own domain name and hosting either. Many of the most successful blogs started out at blogger.com and you can too. Setting up a blog at blogger takes no time at all. You can either blog about an aspect of your life - setting up the business perhaps, being productive, learning a new trade or overhauling your life in some way, or you can think about an aspect of your new business to blog about. For example if you were setting out as a freelance graphic designer / web developer / writer you might want to blog about the latest news in the field. Alternatively as a virtual assistant you could go for interesting information and stories about being or working with a virtual assistant. Be yourself and try not to worry about feeling exposed - all bloggers go through this to a degree.

By following this advice you will have made a good start learning how to make from home and in no time at all will be up and running with a good income stream. Furthermore you will have learnt how to earn money from home without any investment which is crucial. Also keep in mind that it is an enjoyable and rewarding experience, so front up to the challenge and get cracking! Good luck.

3 Ways To Keep Motivated When Your Marketing Efforts Fail

It's tough to keep motivated and winning in business when all your efforts are delivering the opposite. You are only human. How can you be expected to stay motivated when driving sales only brings disappointment?

Not everyone experiences such a motivational setback. Despite overwhelming disappointments and failures, they still seem able to spring back quickly. Some even come back stronger than they were before. How do they do that?

You realize that a lot has to do with their personalities, their drive and their attitudes. Those with type-A personalities are so driven that nothing stands in their way. No blockade or obstacle will prevent them for forging ahead.

You probably don't want to be a type-A personality because they often suffer in the end, often with heart attacks, ulcers, family break-up and the like. You need to achieve a happy medium so that you do have the drive. Attitude is a good place to start.

Check your attitude

Are you the type to fret over those failures? Do you wallow in them? Or do you turn the other cheek and look for better options? Clearly, the latter is the best attitude.

1. Focus on the positive.

Instead of thinking about everything that went wrong and the overall lack of results from your marketing efforts, turn your attention to what went right. It's not a complete failure. Perhaps you made some good connections with other business operators who you can work with for mutual benefit.

Perhaps you discovered some great outlets to promote your offers. Did you find a faster way of doing something? Or maybe you found that someone else has a better idea.

2. Check your offer.

Is your product as good as it could be? Is something missing? Are you approaching your subject the wrong way? Is the packaging appealing? How can you make your product and offer better? It could be something very subtle that is causing the problem. It might be as simple as the product name or the image on the box. Or the way you present it to your prospects.

See what you can do to exceed your competitor's product and offer. Look for gaps in those offers and fill them with your offer.

3. Look for better presentation ideas.

Compare your approach to that of your direct competition with a similar product. How are they marketing it? What does their packing look? Is it appealing? Of good quality? Read their sales letters. Try to determine what catches your attention. What would make you want to buy that product? What keeps you reading? Does the sales button want you to click?

It's easy to lose your stride when your efforts don't seem to be working. Fortunately, you can keep motivated by taking these few steps.

If these three steps don't do it for you, here are a few more tips on how to [http://nitroblueprintreviewer.com/keep-motivated-to-winning-in-business-by-se...]keep motivated and winning in your business. Blogs Are A Great At Home Business Opportunity

Interestingly enough, running a blog can be one of the simplest and easiest ways to make a living online. However, the initial planning, preparing, research, and writing are what drive most people away. Once up and running, these tools are fantastic online businesses, and require minimal effort to keep going.

The home business opportunities are abundant. They range from selling e-books on any subject in the world to affiliate marketing for products the business owner could care less about. So why not combine the two into a well-run blog in a tight niche market?

The first step to starting a popular blog that will make money is to find the right niche.

Now every niche has most likely been explored already, the key is to exploit it better than anyone else. While topics such as making money online or personal finance seem like logical choices, they are the most over-populated niches on the internet, stay away from them.

After a niche has been determined, the next step is to determine how profitable it will be. Although items such as basket weaving might be interesting and a tight niche, they really have no marketability and should be crossed off the list. Double check each idea against Google's Keyword Statistics to see which ones are searched for the most.

Now that a good niche has been selected, the key is to keep your readers coming back with new content. A good blog will update at least twice per day in its first year or two in existence. Any less and the blog will lose readers. Keep them in the loop by offering RSS feeds and email newsletters.

Developing a Facebook following and a Twitter following can be helpful, but do not rely on them too much.

Finally, become an internet marketer. Running a blog is all about marketing the niche. If people are interested, and see the blog as an expert in the area, they will pay money for advice, whether that is in the form of an e-book, or revenue coming from affiliate ads. The biggest keys are to keep at it, keep updating, and keep the reader engaged.

Shopping Carts Have Really Grown Up Lately

For those people who are constantly traveling from one place to another, finding ways to transport the luggage easily has always been a problem. Although you can get a wheeled cart in most airports, sometimes, in the busy times, none are to be found. Then it is left to you to lug everything across the terminal to the check in desk. However, there is a simple solution in the folding cart which we can carry onto the plane to facilitate this kind of work very easily.

Some cases come with built-in wheels which make life a little easier for sure, but having the detachable kind means that they can be used for all different kinds of uses. When we are not traveling; these gadgets can be used to get shopping from the mall to the car, and the car to the house. Also, they can be used to move loads in the garage too since this place often needs rearranging to keep everything in order.

For heavier loads, like tree stumps or taking household goods to the local dump, there are varieties which are far more solid. They are usually four-wheeled, as opposed to the two- wheel tilt and pull variety, and will take loads up to six hundred pounds depending on the size of the thing. People tend to use these in factories and office blocks but some people will need them for home use.

One use for the home environment is taking food and drink to the boat when there is a trip in the offing. Even freezer shopping takes up a lot of space and weighs a lot too, so having one of these babies is just the right way to cure the problem in one fell swoop.

Of course, these gadgets can be utilized for all kinds of loads, including the boxes of files which have to be put into storage which most offices have to do, and even people who have interests in radio equipment will use the variety with removable shelves to stack their equipment on. This means that the radio and transceivers etc can be left in situ for the time when the whole set up has to be moved from one place to another to get a better signal. This makes it so much faster and the enthusiast will not have to keep lugging the equipment from place to place and set it up all over again.

One great place where these gadgets will come in handy is for the elderly. Most of the older generation loves to be independent even though they are getting weaker. However, the usual tilt and pull shopping trolleys have now been made with two additional wheels on the front so that all they have to do is push the thing along. Not only does this take less effort, it also means that they can keep their balance easier by hanging onto the handles whenever they want to stop for a breather. What a great gift this would make for those who are less than steady on their feet!

Stewart Wrighter recently purchased a [http://www.handcartdepot.com/]folding cart on the internet to help his aging mother cart her groceries. He ordered a [http://www.handcartdepot.com/]wheeled cart for his daughter who is traveling abroad during the summer.

How To Declutter Your Internet Life

Most people have quite a bit of internet data today. It can become a bit confusing when you have multiple email accounts, social networking accounts, and other information stored across the internet. Find out what you need to do that will help you declutter your internet life and make everything a bit simpler.

Start with your email accounts that you have. Get rid of any accounts that you really don't need anymore. Try to get everything streamlined and simple. You can set up email filters on each account so that you will get the mail and messages that you want to receive versus having a large volume of spam to go through just to find what you really want.

You probably have a variety of sites online that you enjoy following. Take each one of these sites and grab the RSS feed. Put all these into a feed reader. This is a simpler way of following sites and blogs. You can simply go to your RSS feed reader and view your online content in just one place.

Look for applications for your phone and your desktop that will help your organize your social networking accounts. There are many applications that make using a wide variety of sites much easier as they are all in one place which makes them simpler to use.

Delete any contacts or data that you haven't used in a long time. This will keep those you keep in touch with readily available without this list being so cluttered. If you can't bring yourself to deleting anything, at least organize the information.

Clean up your bookmarks. This might mean deleting bookmarks or organizing them into folders that make them easier to find. Also consider getting a syncing application like Xmarks which will make it easier to keep all your bookmarks on various computers organized into the same list.

Get Rid of Distractions - Success With Working at Home

When you are working at home, you need to have a sound plan to get rid of the distractions. Here are tips to help you minimize two of the most difficult distractions to handle inside your home.

Handle the Kids - Keep Them Busy

Because you cannot ignore your children, they are on top of the list of distractions when you are working at home. So what is the plan to cope with them?

To cope with your children as they distract you, you need to plan your work day and get ahead as a parent. Are your children going to school? Then, take this to your advantage and work when they are gone. You can also work late at night when the children are sleeping or during early in the morning. Plan your work time depending on your situation.

If the kids are still young and they are at home all day, you need to plan everything carefully. Keep them busy with toys and activities that will leave you alone for a while. You can also send to a friend's house or have some friends come over. The point is to keep them busy for a while and this will allow you to focus on your work.

Do not expect your kids to be find ways to keep them busy. Give them something fun to keep them occupied for hours. While they focus on something interesting, you will have your time to focus on your home based job. Of course, the spouse can be a great help in this situation too. Let him or her watch the kids when at home while you do your job.

Stop Talking on the Telephone

If you have friends who love to chat, then you have to be careful of the telephone. The phone can be a big distraction because talking to friends and family members might take hours of your work time. As a rule, your work hours should not be wasted talking to non-business matters on the phone.

When you know someone who loves to call during your work hours, tell them you have work during that time. If they keep on calling, get yourself a caller ID. This will allow you to track people who are calling. If you think it is not necessary, do not answer the phone.

Conclusion

The key to success with working at home is to keep distractions to a minimum. Keep the kids busy and limit your time on the phone. These tips are smart moves to achieve success with your job.
