Generate Leads Online - 5 Ways to Do It

Leads or potential customers are one of the most important resources of any business. It is important to remember that leads are not only potential new customers, existing customers are also to be considered leads and they are our most valuable leads because we may already have built a relationship with them. A customer who has already bought from you is much more likely to buy again than a new potential customer.

The Internet makes the job of lead generation much easier than it once was. In the past sales teams relied on word of mouth referral and long painstaking research which led to cold calling and generally low conversion rates because of the difficulty in targeting the correct type of leads for a particular product or service. The reason for this is because profiling potential customers was limited in the information it could provide.

Here are five ways to market your business online and generate a constant stream of new leads while qualifying them as targeted and building a relationship with them before you ever meet them.

1. Social media Interaction

Social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn, to mention a few allow you to set up a profile for yourself or your business or group. The value of this is that everybody who is using social media has a profile which they set up with their account. Because they have added their preferences to their profile we know a lot about them and can target friends or subscribers according to their likelihood of being interested in your business niche.

This is a powerful way of building an online presence and a brand which is laser targeted to your ideal customer. There are many ways of engaging with people and giving them value and the opportunity to get to know and trust you and your business. Build yourself as an authority by always giving value in the form of useful and interesting information relevant to your niche and not your business directly.

Put links on your profiles which allow people to visit your blog or free gift (lead capture page) but don't pitch your business directly. You may notice that some big brands are now using social media but rarely will you see them pitch an offer because they are there to build relationships and their brand through social interaction with no overt intention other than having fun.

2. Blogging

A blog is different from a website because a website shows what you do in terms of your product or service but it doesn't say much about you and usually it is not possible for your potential customer to connect with you directly. A blog is where you you can romance your customer by giving them information and perspectives on the benefits of what you are offering.

Using a blog we can accept feedback and gain insight into what customers want and expect in an informal and very informative way. Blogging is where we can really take relationships to the next level leading to visits to our official or sales site which have a much higher conversion rate.

3. Lead Capture Page

Every website should have a lead capture page which is simply a page with a form where a potential customer can fill in their name and e mail address in return for more information or even better an incentive of some sort, like a free gift or service. The people who opt in on a lead capture page are highly likely to be qualified leads that will make a purchase when you take the time to build a relationship with them.

You can also then market to them by means of email marketing. It is important to offer value upfront in any of these methods including e mail marketing. You might start off with giving useful information that people in your niche will be interested in and build up to offering your products or services on the backend. There are great software systems that make it possible to completely automate your lead capture page and all of the follow up communications.

4. Website design

When someone visits your website you have 8 seconds to make an impression or they are gone. If a potential customer has taken the time to find you either by searching Google or by coming in through social media or your blog, you need to capture their attention immediately. Generally one of the most important things to have is a professional looking site with your logo and branding fully visible.

It might sound obvious but most people are looking for contact details, so make sure they are immediately visible. You need to have clear information about what you do on the front page and especially the benefits a customer will get by doing business with you. A video is very useful and people respond well to seeing a physical and audio presence and also it holds peoples attention for longer. The Video shouldn't be more than 3 to 4 minutes long. Remember to have a lead capture box always above the fold and on every page if possible.

5. E zine (online magazine) Articles and Forums

Another way of becoming an authority is by writing about your niche. There are many e zines and directories online that cater for every niche and they accept articles on all of these niches. You can set up an account with any of these e zines usually free of charge. If you don't have the time or the writing talent there are many ways to create the content you require. There are professional article writers that you can find online and also there are sites where you can buy private label rights articles on every subject and niche.

By posting articles to e zines online you are also creating back links to your website or blog which are ranked accordingly by Google. Because many of the popular e zines are considered authority sites by Google you will also get free Google traffic to your blog or website using this method. Join online forums in your niche where people are talking about the kinds of thing that your product or service can provides a solution. Post threads and comment on other peoples threads. You will include your web or blog addresses on your profile and on your posted comments. This is laser targeted both to your target audience and to getting information on their needs.

What Pinball Can Teach Us About Web Strategy

I used to play the silver ball. From Soho down to Brighton I must have played them all. Well, actually I've only played pinball a handful of times but this post gave me a chance to riff lyrics from The Who, so I couldn't resist being dramatic. I do love a pinball machine, however. They're tactile and responsive; You feel part of the machine. The ball is unpredictable but if you hit the right places it increases momentum and triggers additional events, more balls, more bang and more feedback. This got me thinking that pinball is a bit analogous to website strategy and social media integration.

Pinball games are like website ecosystems - Think of the silver ball as a website visitor who is traveling around the interweb. They may have a destination or objective in mind but how do they get there and how many touch points will earn points? What touch points will keep them coming back and how can they all be tied together to really light things up? An effective web strategy that integrates social media is much like a well designed and well played pinball game. Think of the bumpers and discs in a pinball game as your social media spaces (Facebook, Twitter, Flickr) and your website as the paddles (This is the ultimate destination of the silver ball). The point of a well played pinball game is to get as many bounces and touch points of the silver ball with the various bumpers and discs, which in turn bounce the ball back to the paddles. The more interaction between these components and points earned will often trigger another ball to join. Now things get really interesting. With increased ball activity there is increased opportunity for earning even more points and possibly landing in that secret spot or hitting a ramp that lights up the board with mega points. Think of the secret spot as search engine rankings. They basically rank websites based on their popularity and relevance, so the more visitors you have bouncing around your web properties and attracting other visitors, the better chance you have of making an impression with search engines. The trick, of course, is not letting the ball slip by your paddles. You want to keep the ball in play as much as possible and hitting the bumpers that earn the most points.

By viewing your website strategy as a pinball game, it is easy to visualize how setting up social media spaces like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Flickr that all play off one another can drive visitors back to your website which in turn drives visitors back to your social media spaces. The more touch points, the more points, and the better chances you will start rising in the search rankings. It is important to make sure you create a web strategy with enough social media components to encourage interaction otherwise it will quickly get boring and difficult to earn points. Keep the ball in play and you too may become a pinball wizard!

How to Recognise a Reputable Online Home Based Internet Business

Are you struggling how to recognise a reputable online home based business? When I started on the internet 4 years ago I hadn't the faintest idea what to look for I knew that owning an internet business was the future and I admit I have made mistakes and wasted a lot of money - it's a minefield out there! However, these mistakes made me understand what I should be looking for and the frustrations did not deter me. So I set about making a list of all things that were missing from my past business ventures online to help me and others what they should be looking for in finding a professional, legitimate and rock solid business online. I wasn't looking for a Get Rich Quick Scheme I wanted to be in business for the long haul. I hope these will help you in your search as they helped me and 12 months down the line I am now enjoying not only a growing income but one that gives me personal satisfaction - the opportunity to make a lot of money if I wish- it's up to me what I want!

Firstly I would exercise my Due Diligence. You must research the company I cannot express enough on this - GOOGLE them. Who are the people behind it and what kind of management structure do they have. Do your research on the people in management, Do these people have a soul. Are they giving back to those less well informed and unfortunate, do they support charities and show a genuine concern. These are the companies who are in it for the long haul they are not just in it for themselves and want to leave the world a better place. This is imperative in obtaining a feelgood factor that you have found the right reputable online home based business and genuine company.

The next thing of course is the Product. After the influx of weight loss programmes, lotions, potions, vitamins......these products have now saturated the market and whilst you can be successful with many MLM companies some still advocate selling to friends, neighbours and family which can be uncomfortable. In addition many online and offline affiliates work hard marketing products which yield very low commissions.

Its imperative to find a Niche Product that has not a lot of competitors has great appeal and people want or need, that the product will not go out of fashion and has global reach, as with many tangible products there are so many difficulties importing/exporting to other countries this will limit your market therefore there is no room for expanding your business. Particularly in the new growth areas such as the UK, Asia and India.

Its vital that a 24/7 Support Network is available with live help with the business set up, full coaching which is totally up to date of all new compliances and regulations on marketing on the internet, a easily contacted mentor, live conference calls, webinars and a forum, in order that you are ahead of the game, the interaction will keep you focussed and not left out in the cold. So you are not left all alone tearing your hair out searching on the internet for days, weeks to find the answers, the 24/7 support network experts are on hand to solve that problem immediately.

Marketing, Marketing, Marketing need I say anymore unless you show your product to the maximum level and to the maximum capacity of potential buyers it is inconsequential what your product is. Unless you have an Online Marketing System again which keeps up to date with the latest online marketing tools and resources which in are in line with any new compliances and regulations. In other words a forward thinking company. This is the only way you are going to sell your products and make any money. So lets look at the options for example a company is offering to teach you their online marketing methods you must say to yourself would you respond to their adverts and would you buy from them. Do they offer Branding Development, Web 2.0 Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn and more. SEO, Organic and Sponsored Listings (PPC)....Its important here to establish that you are in control of each marketing method that you are able to track your sales, where they are coming from for example Twitter, Google.....you must have your own personalised tracking embedded into whatever method of marketing you are using, so you know you will be paid.

In addition are there follow up autoresponder emails, a friendly call centre readily available to help or make sales, these are essential services which not only present your business in a professional manner these services are indicative of a highly organised and reputable company to be dealing with and also help to speed up making contact with a potential sale but more importantly you feel more comfortable in striking a relationship with a caller who may wish do business with you in the future as the time may not be right for them at the moment, however they will remember you as a personable, genuine person who is available to offer options and work out a personal business plan for them. Is there help in finding a merchant account perhaps template sites to get you going before self branding. Can I start with very little capital in other words are there options available to me so if I had little capital to invest I could still have the opportunity "to work my way up" - without resolving to hard sell to friends and family, for me this a strong key factor in looking for a reputable online home based business.

The Compensation Plan or Commission Plan, how much money will I be paid. A rule of thumb here is if you do not understand the compensation plan and it is confusing. Do Not Join Them!

If the compensation/commission plan is not paid direct to you in other words you must receive the purchase price which of course includes your commission. So you do not have to wait for your commission you merely send to the product owner their product fee, so you already have your commission. I would only consider minimum commissions of 500. More importantly having access to an achievable residual income, so once you have established your business you can enjoy in life what you enjoy doing or want to do.

So in short I would say there would be seven key points to consider before choosing a reputable online home based business:

1 Due your due diligence on the company being ROCK SOLID

2 Unique Product

3 Marketing System

4 Global Reach

5 24/7 Support Network

6 Get Paid Today Compensation Plan/Commission Plan min of 500 and Achievable Residual Income

7 Does the Company give back to the Community/Support charities

My Best Wishes to Your Success

Two Crucial Elements For Tripling Your MLM Leads

If you're anything like I was in the early days of learning how to generate free MLM leads, I felt like every time I opened my email I was bombarded with another "secret", "widget", "insider tip", or "whachamacallit" from some so-called guru who claims it was "the missing link" to my success...

I used to fork over my hard earned cash for every new tool, trick, strategy and tactic that almost never brought me any results.

And the more I learned, the more I realized that I wasn't alone. In fact, many newbie "marketers" experienced the same issues.

So today I'm going to cover the FOUNDATION of how to get free MLM leads, and in the process you'll discover the most essential element to a successful MLM lead generation system: The Capture Page

Learning how to build winning capture pages is the very foundation of your core strategy to generate free MLM leads.

In fact, without a winning capture page, nothing else matters. You could have 48,000 LinkedIn connections and 19,000 MySpace friends, but without a capture page you lack an efficient method of turning those prospects into leads for your MLM business.

Now a capture pages exists for the sole purpose of converting visitors into leads. One of the biggest mistakes I see newbie marketers make is putting WAY too much information into their capture pages.
Anything that may be distracting to your visitor should be avoided at all costs. That means no lengthy "about me" section, or no long-winded explanations.

You want your visitors to face a choice: leave their contact information (opt-in) and get to the other side, or exit the page and lose it forever. It's this type of choice that feeds on your visitor's fear of loss, and when you couple that with the elements I'm going to teach you right here in this article, you've got the recipe for endless free MLM leads!

So let's get started...

Element 1: The Bribe

Your entire capture page is designed to offer your visitors something of value in return for their contact information. Some examples could be a "Free Report", a "Boot Camp" series, or even a "Newslettter". So in other words, your prospects are trading their contact information in exchange for your free information.

Now the key to a successful capture page is to formulate your bribe in such a way that your prospects can't help themselves but opt-in. The more valuable your bribe, the better response you'll receive.

I've seen network marketers come up with a bribe that just plain sucks... which means the response they receive from their visitors sucks too.

So take some time to come up with what you want to offer as your bribe. Make sure that it is packed with great value, and delivers 10x what your MLM leads expect. I can't stress that enough: OVER DELIVER and your MLM leads will turn into raving fans of you and your business.

Element 2: Keep them blind

I alluded to this just a second ago, but your capture page exists for the sole purpose of getting your visitors to leave their contact information. Therefore, anything that takes them away from this goal should be avoided. That includes hyperlinks.

Think about this example.

Let's say that your visitor is reading your capture page and then clicks on a link that takes them to your about me page. You've now taken them completely off topic. And in order for you to still convert them into an MLM lead, you have to somehow get them back to your capture page and back reading your copywriting. Otherwise, they're gone forever.

But obviously this can all be avoided by simply keeping them blind - meaning, don't include links that they can follow. Your capture page should be designed in such a way that the only way for your prospect to leave is by submitting their information in the form, or hitting their browser's "back" button. That's it.

Multilevel Marketing Tips - Proven Advice on How You Can Network With the Right People

How often do you find yourself saying, "I wish I knew how to network with the right people?" As a network marketer, you might have realized that it's about time for you take your MLM business to the next level-the internet. You might have also realized that it takes a lot of work to learn all that Internet stuff and so you would like to do it the easier way. Here's the truth-there is simply no shortcut. Most successful internet network marketers have learned their lessons the hard way. Any multilevel marketing guru will tell you that you have to develop skills and that this will take a little time. So, if you'd rather not continue frustrating yourself by calling people you don't know to tell them about your MLM opportunity, then you must focus on learning how to conquer the internet.

You see, most network marketers fail to recognize something that has always been at the front of their noses-networking. Network marketers are different from other marketers in a sense that they have the ability to network with people. This industry is all about networking, remember? It may seem strange but some, if not most network marketers are reluctant to connect with fellow network marketers. Why is this so?

Some don't exchange ideas with other marketers in this field because they are either "not a part of my MLM company," from a "competitor company," or "belonging to my company but are therefore the competition." This is definitely the wrong way of thinking with regards to fellow network marketers. With this frame of mind, you are isolating yourself on an island wherein you have to figure out for yourself what works and what doesn't in promoting products and generating leads. You can't just hang around until the next big ship comes to get you out of that island. It's about time you start networking with people, and by that I mean the right people. These are the people who have more experience than you and are successful in this business no matter what company they are involved with. If you start networking with your fellow network marketers, you will actually learn how to market better and this also means you will develop new skills.

Here are some tips on how you can network with the right people:

Link up with them on Twitter and other social networks, by making smart comments on their blog and video channels, and by addressing your questions through e-mail. See how these people respond and you will be able to decipher how reputable they are.

Sign up for their newsletter or RSS feed. Find out what these people are involved with, what they are up to, and what they have to offer you. If you are not learning anything and if signing up for their list doesn't help you, simply unsubscribe and unfollow them.

Purchase their products. Top network marketers sell nothing but the best quality products. If they don't, their credibility will ceases to exist. If you want to know if these are the right people to learn something from, buying products that they sell will help.

Put into action what they teach. This pointer simply can't be overstated. Success in whatever business you are in calls for action. Implement what these people are teaching and see the difference it will make in your business.

Be the first to follow a person. Follow that person on his blog, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, or other social networks, and test out if you can connect with them in a personal level. You will need to ensure that they offer valuable information which is a way of knowing their expertise.

Provide value to them. You may have already followed them on Twitter or purchased any product they are selling, and it's time to give value to the business relationship. You just can't take and take and disregard offering value. This should be a give and take relationship.

It is a great way of changing your business for the better by building relationships with other network marketers. Start building one today and focus on the exchange of value to your fellow network marketers. If some people find it hard or tedious or simply lack the willingness to connect, that doesn't mean you can't too. You are a person with credibility and you have a lot of brilliant ideas to share to the world-go for it!

How to Expand Your Network Marketing Business

Network marketing is a simple yet complex process. It is simple because the principle is very simple - you market your products through a circle of online users. It is a complex process in the sense that before you could do that you first have to setup your system. If you are an Internet marketer then this should be first your agenda item. You may have the greatest product there is, but if you do not have an effective marketing strategy then you cannot expect to increase your sales.

Here are tried and tested methods of promoting your network marketing business:

Enlist affiliate members from bloggers, site owners, and members of online communities.
There are millions of blogs from all over the world. Your sphere of influence would tremendously increase if you are able to advertise in even just a hundred of these blogs. Network marketing means branching out to other areas to increase your advertising reach. You can pay bloggers a minimal fee to display your advertising widget in their blogs.

Make use of your site or blog to "spread the word." Motivate other online users to pass on the word about your product. You can team-up with other Internet marketers who have products that complement your own. You can join their online ventures and virtually meet with their clients through the use of webinars.

Publish links in social networking and bookmarking sites

If you really want to be successful in network marketing you should get involved with social networking and bookmarking sites. Sign up with these sites and your will expand your network marketing sphere of influence. You could advertise your products or services in your "About Me" page. Examples of these sites are Facebook, Friendster, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

Use emails and newsletters

You can increase your network marketing through emails and newsletters. Together with your signature, you can post your products' advertisement. You could also make use of the email to advertise with other site owners who are into product sales.

Use Really Simple Syndication or RSS feeds

These are links to the latest posts of a site or blog, which automatically updates and are sent to subscribers, or published in widgets and other venues. Online users could subscribe to your feeds and be updated with your new posts.

Use online communities

There are online communities, which are into network marketing. Some of these sites are Entrecard and Adgitize. Membership is free and you can join and be one of the thousands of members who visit one another and earn points with each visit. There are different genres and blog classifications that you can select from. As you blog hop you will increase the reach of your network marketing. Members have testified that their Alexa and Google Page ranks increased after they have joined the community,

Use video submission sites

Sites like YouTube, Vimeo, and many more allow members to upload their own videos free of charge. You can increase your network by uploading your choice of videos and interacting with viewers to subscribe with your videos. This is a powerful and dynamic tool for making your site more popular.

Network marketing has tremendously diversified as updates in applications have become more advance. Do not put limits into the extent by which you can form your own network, instead be creative, and explore all avenues to broaden your sphere of influence.

How Internet Network Marketing Success Beats Cold Calling ANY Day

"Hello, may I please speak to _____________?"

"Hi _________! This is John and the reason of my call is because I have the ultimate business opportunity for you!!!"

(Phone hanged up...)

Have you ever experienced such a frustrating scenario?

The truth well said is that "Cold Calling" has become a common practice by thousands of Typical Networkers looking for customers and members for their teams. But, What about Internet Network Marketing Success? Is it REALLY true that you can build a team of hungry Entrepreneurs through the Internet? Have you been wasting your time cold calling people who hung up their phone faster than you can get their attention?

Well, those are great questions...

You see, the "Web" is a fast channel of information where MILLIONS with different and common interests, interact each single day. So, by knowing that fact, Internet Network Marketing Success can certainly be achieved through the Internet IF you know how to be in front the "right" people in the "right" way. Since I've been playing this game to WIN for a while now, I can honestly tell you that one of the most common mistakes I see is that most of the Networkers who try to recruit people through Web brand their particular Network Marketing Company instead of themselves as the knowledgeable leaders that will help others achieve success.

You see, there are 3 main ways to market through the Internet and to get people interested in your Business:

1. ADVERTISING

As the name says it, this way works around "ads" you place around the Web to entice people to request more information about yourself and your particular business. My favorite paid methods are Pay Per Click and Banner Advertising..If you want to jump in without such a big marketing budget, I love Free Classified Ads which work pretty good.

2. CONTENT

Videos, Articles and Press Releases are the common methods used to promote any piece of valuable content in the Web, to establish yourself as an authority and source of a lot of knowledge...I personally LOVE Articles since you can find a particular "keyword" (which is nothing more like the phrase: Internet Network Marketing Success) and write about anything that is valuable to your particular Niche.

3. SOCIAL MEDIA

A LOT has been said about social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, etc and I will have to say that this platforms are GREAT to build relationships with your customers and future team members as long as you know how to brand yourself and never pitch your opportunity to every single new friend you make there. So, as you now understand, Cold Calling SUCKS when it comes to achieve Internet Network Marketing Success or any kind of success AT ALL in any type of business because it invades people's privacy without establishing any connection that positions yourself as an authority and therefore loyal customers who buy your opportunity.

I mean...isn't that what you "really" want? ;-)

It's Time to Take Your Home Based Business to the Masses With Social Media

You've heard the buzz words social media. You know that sites such as Facebook and Twitter are trendy right now. In fact, you probably even have personal pages on these popular sites. But, as a home based business owner, how do you make the most of social media for your business?

The latest trend in promotions is the advent of social media tools that allow home based business owners like you to build relationships with thousands of potential customers through social media networks such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. These sites are no longer simply for people looking to post photos and chat with friends or relatives - many Fortune 500 companies and small businesses alike have discovered the value of social media, and have established a presence through corporate pages and consistent interaction with prospective clients.

As a home based business owner, you need to be there too.

Social media is a critical component of any good marketing strategy because it allows you to build online fans and followers, and develop a loyal base of devoted customers who can receive instant updates each time you post updates to your business page. Social networking in many respects puts the power in the hands of the consumer, and mediums such as Facebook and Twitter can provide you with direct access to consumers who are looking for your specific product or service.

One critical point to remember, however, is that social media is exactly what the name represents - a social tool that is only fully effective when the home based business owner to returns to their page frequently enough to provide real-time updates. Social media is effective when used regularly, because outdated information or infrequent interaction will cause followers or fans to lose interest. Home based business owners must also remember to be consistent across all social networking sites. For example, if you plan to use your home based business logo as your avatar on one site, be consistent and use your logo on every site where you have a corporate presence - this will help to establish your brand in the mind of consumer.

It's also important to consider that your ability to access and control what is said by your customers is limited; therefore, you'll want to ensure that you are monitoring your pages on a consistent basis to see what others are writing about your home based business. You'll also want to use restraint when communicating on social networks.

The nature of social networking allows people to build on-line relationships with others, which can lead to the sharing of too much personal information, particularly if you are already accustomed to using social networking sites for personal interaction with family and friends. A good rule of thumb is to remember the old adage, "Never write down anything that you wouldn't want to see in the newspaper the next day." Simply put, social networking sites are very public forums, so be sure that what you are communicating is appropriate for the masses.

The good news is that social networking can provide you with an avenue to manage your reputation and have very positive effects on how your home based business is viewed.

Work Part Time on Your Fortune

Developing a small home business of your own is one of the best investments you can ever make for yourself and for your family.

You can create this small business almost painlessly, with very little money and virtually no financial risk.

By starting your very own small business you have the possibility to be in control of your own destiny. Wow!

You don't need to work around the clock, (although some people do).

Your new home business does not have to be new or unique. You don't have to reinvent the wheel! Why? I will explain later.

What business to choose?

Well, that's easy, find something that you will really feel passionate about. This small business should be your dream job, the type you would get up early in the morning for, or stay up late at night full of enthusiasm.

Imagine being able to say to yourself "I get paid for doing what I love to do".

To be successful, you need to be motivated. To be motivated, you need to enjoy and care about what you are doing.

I recommend that you take out your journal or a piece of paper and write down all the things that you are interested in.

It could be Fitness, computers, photography, music, history, sports, cooking, carpentry, electronics, travel, the list goes on.

Remember it is your list after all. Stay open minded and positive.

Then ask a few close friends what they think your skills and strengths are. This way, you are getting some honest comments, and you are potentially building up your future client list.

Remember, until you pick your path you won't be able to walk it.

Now, remember I said earlier that you don't have to reinvent the wheel, well here's why! The wheel that everyone has been using for so long has done just fine until now. If you want to, you can start the same business that it is already successful somewhere else. You don't have to reinvent it, you can make it your own, and even make a few improvements with it if you wish. The main requirement is that you serve a real need at a fair price.

Six figures in six days! Beware.

Do not choose a home business solely to make money. So many home business' fail before they start with promises from network marketers of six figures in six days, fast cars, flashy lifestyles, and work from the beach schemes. You would have a better chance with a lottery ticket. Stay clear from The get rich schemes.

Getting Started

Once you have your list of possible ideas for your new business, you will need to start narrowing them down.

Do you want something that will stay small, or would you be interested in doing it full time in the future?

How much income would you be satisfied and motivated with?

What new skills do you need to attain?

What is the current market for your product?

Who will your main competitors be?

How much time are you going to devote to your home business?

Research is key to find out what will work best for you, and what the realistic financial rewards will be.

Search online, visit trade shows, build up your network lists through sites like Linkedin, Twitter and Facebook.

Share ideas with like minded people.

You will be pleasantly surprised of how much people will help you if you just ask.

Starting off you don't need to spend much money on advertising, employees, business cards, phone systems, remember slow and steady wins the race most of the time. Keep your expenses down.

You initial goal should be just to get started, you don't need to start planning the next corporate empire. Although you never know! Apple Computers started in a garage in California.

Your main goal should be to get your product or service in front of customers.

Be persistent, but flexible. If your home business idea is not working, try a different one. Learn from your mistakes, dust yourself off and move on.

That is another great thing about having your own home business - The ease at which you can change direction.

The secret to your home business success boils down to choosing something that you love doing, keep your costs down, offering competitive prices, and delivering a high quality product or service.

Good luck
