While that is the dream life of many, not everyone is capable of, or even wants to live out their work life in that way. It takes a certain type of person to pull this off successfully and with a level of joy in the journey! Let's look at what personality type has to do with it...

5 Personality Traits For Working Successfully At Home

1. Independent Thinker
This person can make decisions on their own, think of what to do next without anyone prompting them. They think outside the box and they can troubleshoot when problems arises.

2. Organized
An organized person accomplishes and makes the most of the time they have each day. They are good time managers who are able to prioritize, schedule and stick to their time frames for accomplishing tasks.

3. Disciplined and Self-Motivated
Working alone can be well...lonely and they have no one to push them when they don't feeling like working. They will have to work through this or face unpleasant consequences. They have to be a go-getter, a do-er and be focused to complete all duties even the ones that are less than enjoyable.

4. Detail-Oriented
Without a boss checking their work, they have to be able to scrutinize their own work and be their own critic, but not to the point where it will hinder their performance each day. They thrive on being meticulous and follow up and follow through jobs.

5. Positive Attitude
A positive attitude can take a person to new heights. These people will always succeed in what they do because of their optimistic outlook and they draw other positive people to them.

On the flip side, there are certain personality traits people have that make them unsuccessful candidates to work from home. DO not be completely discouraged! LOL! Always remember, there are exceptions, and you can make the changes in yourself that can help make it happen for you! Remember, whether you possess some of these traits it doesn't really necessarily mean you can't work at home because there are many work at home opportunities.

5 Personality Traits That Will Have Trouble Working at Home

1. If you require hand-holding, you're really going to have trouble working in solitude. You have to be able to work independently and solve your own problems with little or no assistance from anyone. You need to believe in your abilities and have self-confidence.

2. If you're easily frustrated, have a short attention span and lack focus it's going to be really hard to stay on track and stay motivated. Stop and breathe. Take your time to execute the job. Break your task into smaller jobs and work through each section until you're done.

3. There's nothing wrong with being a social butterfly, but it's detrimental to your job if you can't get anything else done. There is a time to socialize even when you work at home, but you have to schedule these breaks. When you're working don't pick up personal phone calls. You can screen all your calls through your voice mail. Use a timer when you visit Facebook or other networking sites.

4. A perfectionist gets very little done and it takes twice as long to complete tasks. It's not productive or healthy. You are your own worse critic. Accept that good is good enough. You don't get paid more to be perfect.

5. Clock watchers will only do what's required of them and then check out. Some traditional work at home jobs require flexibility, maybe over-time work, working weekends or late nights. Avoid jobs that require working for someone else and instead start your own business or choose other flexible work options.

Be self-aware of your disadvantages so you can make adjustments and learn how to make working at home work doable for you. It is also very important that you seek God about it and pray for His Will, clarity and help in any and all decisions!

Ten Point Website Pre-Sale Preparation List

What is being sold with the website? Is the domain name, the copyright to the content, the design, graphics, subdomains, custom coding, associate programs, AdSense program, related domain names, email advertising copy, member list, email addresses, all included in the sale? If so, spell it out, plainly. Also, now is the time to disclose any related businesses / websites / domain names, etc., that are not included in the sale.
Clearly describe your website: the purpose of your website, your audience, etc. Highlight your sites' Unique Value Offering: what makes your site different from other sites? How is your content different from all others? What content management system, [CMS] if any, does your site use? Is your site all proprietary custom coded? Joomla, Drupal, or some other CMS? What are the benefits of using that system over another?
List your sources of revenue: where does your income come from? If from various sources, list those sources and the percentages: membership, Google AdSense, Affiliate Programs, on-site banner ads, info-adverts, PPC, website related material, like T-shirts, coffee mugs, etc. Show these figures in pie or bar charts. Pictures tell a story words can not convey. People love pictures. Provide them.
List your expenses: your hosting, advertising, salary and webmaster expenses and how much time you, yourself, spend maintaining your site. Again, graphs are good.
Show where your profit, that is, your positive balance after deducting expense from revenue and taking into account your time. Be honest. Honesty should not be the best policy, it should be the only policy. Sophisticated buyers are also usually good male cow dung sniffers. Don't try to fool potential buyers with BS.
Provide statistics: buyers love to see numbers, statistics, charts and tables. How many unique hits per month, number of members, growth rates, trends, Google/Yahoo/Bing/Dogpile URL listings and for what keywords, pages indexed in the major SEs; rel=nofollow [http://www.alexa.com/]Alexa rank, etc.
What does it take to maintain your site? Describe the skill level needed to keep the site running. How much time is spent writing copy, producing the newsletter, replying to emails, dealing with support issues, adding quality content, etc. In short, list everything that needs to be done to keep the site going. Again, be honest.
Disclose any known problems: blacklists, Yahoo/Google bans, unresolved disputes with advertisers, webmasters, etc., in other words, full disclosure. If you can't resolve the problems before the sale, it's better to get the problems out in open before the sale is closed, than to face a possible expensive and wasteful lawsuit post sale.
Your asking price. You may want to state your reasons for asking this price. Use the above statistics - for revenue and profit, to justify your price. If you think the site has untapped revenue sources, state what those possible sources are here. The site could be making more income and that fact might influence a buyer to pay your price. State what terms you are offering; full payment up front, or are you willing to carry with the right buyer? Will you sign a non-competition agreement?
How would you like to handle the transfer? An escrow account? If so, which escrow company? Explain how you would like the transfer process to take place. Be specific.

There is one more activity that should be added, but that would make it an 11 point list, and who ever has an 11 Point List? LOL. That is, do a housecleaning. Clean up the site. Remove any personal pictures or files you have stored onsite for only you or your administrative personnel to view. Fix any bugs or broken links. Run a Xenu. Run a new validator check. Are any of the src or hrefs directed to images or files on your hard drive or Photobucket/Flckr accounts? Do a search to find the gossip about your site with a yoursitename + forum in the search engines. What do you find? Can you do anything about the gossip pre-sale? In the long run, preparing these ten items, (oops! eleven items) will save you time and trouble and make the sale of your website proceed much smoother. It will also show any potential buyers your professionalism, which will be much appreciated by other professional purchasers.

Home Business Tips - Would Your Children Approve Of Your Business?

Look, let's be honest. It's rough out there. Running your own home business is not easy. Nobody said it was. And nobody promised any of us a successful business. Certainly nobody promised me anything. In fact, it took me five months just to make my first $28 online. No, that's not something I was proud of, but at least what I was doing was ethical.

And then I see people who cookie stuff to steal commissions of others, spam blogs and forums and do just about anything that they can to make a buck. They'll promote products that they know aren't worth spit. If you think I'm kidding, pick up one of the big sellers from one of the big affiliate marketplaces and tell me if it's worth as much as the digital paper it's printed on. And yet, people blindly promote this garbage without blinking an eye...as long as the money keeps coming in.

I can't help but wonder if these home business owners who were doing all these less than desirable things to bring in an income, if they were to tell their children exactly what they were doing, what would their children say? Would they be proud, or would they say "Daddy, that's not very nice" and give the dirtiest look that they ever gave to anyone? My money is on the latter. Of course with some families, who knows? And don't get me wrong, I'm not passing judgment on how parents raise their kids. That's not my job. I leave that to a higher authority. But really...some of you folks give new meaning to the term "stretching credibility."

Anyway, I'm not your conscience. That's not my job either. All I'm suggesting is that it's actually possible to run a home business without taking advantage of others. I read about all these back hat and gray hat tactics and I can't help but thinking..."How come I can make money without pulling all this crap?" I think it's a question that a lot of people should be asking themselves before they cross over that line and have to tell their kids that it's none of their business what they do with THEIR business.

Now, WHY on earth would you want to rent a pet?

Well, here is how the set up goes, so reserve judgement for a minute and see what you think after I explain.

Some people are just NOT aware of the responsibilities that go with owning a pet. Here is a chance to TEST THE WATER before committing to actually OWNING one.

Your customer can rent the pet of his/her choice weekly, complete with an instruction book on how to look after the pet properly, you could also supply a week's supply of Pet food.

After a week, the renter has a choice, they can either give the pet back, rent it for another week or buy it.

Once you have had a pet in your house for a week, it will be very hard for you to give it back.

Now, if the person does give it back, this saves a pet going to a home where it might not have been wanted. Someone will eventually want to keep the pet - but in the mean time you have made a nice profit from rentals.

Now do check with your local bye-laws regarding the law as far as animals are concerned. Your priority should always be the care and welfare of the animal and you should always VET (sorry, I had to put that one in) the renter first to make sure, they are a responsible person.

Obviously stick to Hamsters, Dogs or Cats at first - don't dive into the deep end straight away and start renting WILD BEASTS!! LOL.

Work Where Your Heart is, At Home - Build a Profitable E-Business That Will Grow With Your Family

You might already be working from your home or you may be thinking about it and praying you could. Well you are not alone WHAMS share a large part of the internet living in countries all over the globe, and are all very different in their ages and stage of life. In conversation with other moms I learned that other people had the same feelings that I did. I had a professional position in fact a good one but after the arrival of my fist child I didn't have the same feelings about my work and the activities that was related to it.

When I got casual work I felt unfulfilled with the type of job but more importantly I felt really torn between the two worlds. That ridiculous song "I do it I do it I do it for the money" kept playing in my mind. (LOL) Anyways Lack of motivation and concentration combined with the LONG hours every day caused me to start to reconsider the whole situation. It was very obvious to me that since the birth of my new baby that things had really changed in a most important way. I knew that I had and really needed to work BUT I also was aware right then and there that I needed to find a so much better way that fit both my requirements.
Employment outside my home was not the solution. The poor pay positions definitely relieved the stresses of my previous job but I wasn't contented doing them. So when I realized the negatives were greater than the positives I decided that working from home was the solution for me.

The catch was the ideas I thought of cost money, required expensive training or renovations to my home ummm..No way. I even gave up on the over priced training course I purchased because you needed to continue buying stuff and honestly I was already over extended. I experimented with all kinds of MLM and lost my money. I even tried home parties and really teed off my acquaintances and family. Affiliate marketing was a bust I spent way too much of my money on "Get Rich Schemes" and renamed them to "Get More Debt Schemes". So like so many other affiliates I became extremely discouraged and quit. I saw other people making money from home but was convinced that I didn't have the ability to be one of the chosen few. To sum it up I lost precious money and time.

Now there a repositions on the internet where you can get paid to do any number of things but the competition for the really good ones is stiff, never got paid for most of my online surveys, pyramid schemes or if I did the amount was laughable! well you know the routine I'm sure! Lots of men and women are making good with E-Bay. I think E-Bay and Pay Pal got most of my hard earned cash not to bring up the garage full of products that just didn't sell like hot cakes. Suffice to say that now the word "loser" had replaced my song. LOL

How a Game of Rugby League Can Teach You to Make Your Online Business a Success

How I hear you ask? Simple!

Qld absolutely belted NSW, it was a crushing defeat and more importantly for them it sealed the series and in doing so provided Qld with a record 5 series in a row. The series is 3 games each and every year and the series winner must win two.

This in itself is amazing because the two sides are made up of the best of the best of Australian Rugby League players and there is little between them on paper or in form.

What is even more amazing and where our lesson comes from is this...

The QLD side is basically the same side that lost 3 series in a row to NSW before going on to win 5 in a row as of an hour ago or so. They were called one of the worst sides the state had ever had and most people called for change and had little faith in them. They wanted to quit and start all over again.

The lesson is simple. To achieve greatness in anything you must first of all persist. You must trust and back yourself to be a winner and then you have to go out and train and educate yourself in all the areas of the game that you previously failed in.

You should never give in, believe in yourself, give yourself time to learn, to develop and be prepared to fail before you succeed. Ignore the critics and naysayers who will run you down and have faith in your ability.

Above all you must have "heart" and the courage to remain true to yourself and what you desire.

Qld proved that this is what breeds success. Yes it is just a game of football BUT if you take and apply the same principles to your business then you cannot do anything but succeed.

I was born and bred in NSW and will forever be a NSW fan but I suddenly realized just how great the Qld side had become and how they had done it. I also so clearly how these principles apply to other parts of your life and wanted to share that with anybody out there struggling to WIN.

I know that business is never easy and an online business is a challenging and daunting prospect for most if not all people. However the rewards for success are great.
