These days I searched my name, and observed numerous sites have listed me. The Internet Marketing Treadmill

In the past few days we have discussed the state of the Internet marketing business. Let's just assume for the time being that I am right and that the big search engines will continue to slap the gurus when ever they attempt to automate the exploitation of what should be organic search. Under these conditions, traditional SEO efforts are simply not going to work.

I bought a book on SEO a month ago. It was a new publication. I read it completely through last weekend and, honestly, there is very little left in that book that holds true today. I really feel for the book companies and publishers. This can't be welcome news. I think this will tend to affect those who want to get into the Internet marketing business as well. How in the world does one ever get enough information into one's head fast enough to get started. My observation is that the business is changing almost faster than a person can read. By the time you order and receive that $197 course from Russ the Guru, that marketing process has probably gone obsolete.

I think that this is one reason that so many courses are bought and never used. I once ordered a course on "Traffic Secrets" a few years ago. It was a nicely packaged case loaded with CDs and course material. The problem was that the "on-ramp" was just too long. By the time I was one third of the way into the course, I was already getting emails from other gurus who were pointing out the search engine changes that made my stuff obsolete.

Getting started in Internet marketing today is a bit like jumping onto a treadmill that is already moving. You have to watch it for a few minutes to get the cadence, then when you are ready you hop on and immediately assume the pace. At the same time, you cannot take too much time off. If you go away to Hawaii for three weeks without your laptop, then expect some significant pressure to catch up when you return. But this is not to say that it is a difficult momentum to hold. I could keep it on cruise control with about 2 hours per day of concentrated work. We'll talk about what it takes to be organized enough to pull this off in another article.

What I really wanted to highlight today is that the new gold rush is approaching fast. With a mobile market potential out there of over 5 billion people, there is no excuse for anyone not to be able to earn a significant income online. It is easier today than it was last year. But it will require that you abandon some old habits and adopt some new ones. The world will continue to change whether you participate or not. Find your best source of proven and reliable information, then fully endorse it! You will never look back.

Internet Marketing For Newbies - How to Make Your First Commission Following a Simple System

I became an affiliate of a company called Effortless Web Cash Formula about two months ago. Not because I am lazy, (if I were, I would not be writing this article) but because it caught my attention while I was surfing. What attracted me the most about this program is that it is a copy & paste turnkey system of advertising where the affiliate collects 100% of the commission. Another thing that attracted me is that it reinforced what my Internet mentor taught me, a powerful strategy of giving something away for free. I started giving away a free high demand e-book on my website and soon after, the money started rolling in.

Some of the perks of this program is, you get your own website with free hosting and some Internet marketing tools for a one time fee of $37.00. Now, let us get one thing straight, if you are in the business of branding and having total control of your sites content, this is not the program for you. However, if you are new to the Internet, and need to get started making money copying from a pro, then you are in the right place. First, I registered my domain with Go Daddy for about $10.00, sent the info to E.W.C.F. and in less than 24 hours, I was up and running. I started placing free ads on Craigslist and some traffic exchanges using the suggested marketing tools. Three weeks later, I received my first commission check of $37.00. It was not that simple. In order to maximize my advertising, I paid an additional one time payment of $39.00 for an auto responder which worked well with fetching subscribers in exchange for my free giveaways from my three other websites. The beautiful part about it is that E.W.C.F. will host it for free through their AWeber account. Hence, you can also skip the $20 a month fee for the auto responder. I also had to pay another $10.00 to put a Pay Pal button on my website. In total, it was about a $76.00 one time investment. Fortunately, I was able to recoup almost all of this investment because I made my second sale two weeks after my first one. After Pay Pal fees were deducted, my revenue was $71.00, only $5.00 short of the initial investment.

If you think about it, this opportunity is practically risk free. Consider the risk of unemployment or even foreclosure as the alternative. On the other hand, what if your mortgage, rent or credit card bills were no longer a problem? What if you finally found a system to recession proof your life forever? Perhaps you will be so desperate not to fall into poverty and economic ruin which you would do anything to preserve the lifestyle you have always cherished, and more. All this business requires is your time, commitment and consistency. This is a business that you own. It should not be treated lightly, like your last J.O.B. In order to receive any rewards, you have to put the effort in, but it is the kind of effort that you are passionate about. The kind that stirs up your emotions and ignites the flame of deep desire. If you find it in your heart to do this kind of business, there are certain things you will have to manage. First, be very clear about why you are doing this business and what goals you intend to fulfill in the end. Second, create a daily routine and devotion of time for your business. Third, you want to focus on two methods of advertising at the most. At this point, you should find out what your skills and strengths are, and expand on them. Some examples could be forums, newsletters, traffic exchanges, free classifieds, email campaigns etc. E.W.C.F. could help you with some marketing suggestions.

Once you have set up your foundation and discovered what works for you, all you have to do is repeat the process. This should excite you enough to continue marketing with an enhanced motivation. If for any reason you get stuck on self doubt or analysis paralysis, just remember you reason for starting your own business. Research shows that high demand for the Internet is constantly growing, just do not get over impulsive and try to do everything at one time. If one marketing method does not work, try another. It will probably take years to exhaust all of the Internet marketing strategies out there. If you have not exhausted all of them, that is okay, just find the one that works best for you. This industry is constantly changing, always having to test and retest to see what works. It just comes with the territory. Or you may have to modify your system to adjust to change, but persist and never give up.

Internet As a Tool For Book Sellers

Writing books or doing research of how to finish it is a lot of work to do. But it is not the end of everthing! How to market your books is the next thing you have to consider.

A lot of authors say that writing book is only an easy part. What is the most difficult part is how you market the books you write. And this matter is what the authors wished to control.

Although marketing at present time is becoming easier because one reason is the way the readers or the consumers seek out information and eventually shares those info to others. The other thing is self publishing which could no longer be of big work because of the numerous social networks that are ready and available.

There are websites for publishing your book. The famous one is the Tribal Author. In this site, you can market your books swiftly and efficiently. You don't need to do a lot of things. What you only need is how you market it wisely.

The way consumers think of how they get informed of many things now is far beyond what they think five years ago? The reason behind all of these is the internet. There are already many social networking sites that consumers can visit.

In marketing your books, you should always include those famous social networking websites such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn etc. These are the sites that are commonly and usually visited by the internet users. To have you own website and blog is greatly recommended since the consumers will know more about the book and author before they buy it.

Personal appearance in business places and press releases should also be given weight in marketing your book locally. Online presence is far reaching, so at least you can be seen marketing your book in local areas.. [http://stairbasket.net/stair-chair/]Stair chair helps handicapped. Perpetual Traffic Systems - Down and Dirty Part 2

n the last article we talked about the state of conventional Internet Marketing systems, about how technical it is, about how the gurus mostly just play you, and about how the goal posts are constantly being moved by the big search engines. How does the average Internet entrepreneur keep up? Well, mostly you don't. You continue to fork over your life savings - $97 at a time. All that is about to change.

I've already talked about how we build a business based on the traditional Internet marketing model. We'll call it Internet Marketing 2.0. You build solid websites - populating them with valuable content. You become good at on-page and off-page SEO and you demonstrate daily human activity on those sites. In a few months, you will be sitting at the top of the pile! I tried an experiment with a friend a few months back. He's just a kid (35 years old) - part of what I call the "attention deficit generation - ADGs I call them. He wanted to be # 1 on Google overnight. I tried to tell him that it's just not going to happen. He walked away from the domain and so I played with it for a few days. I tuned up the graphics and re-worded the content so that it was keyword rich.

I included proper "alt" tags on all of the graphics. I made good use of white space and I put the opt-in box above the fold. Twice a week I made a few content changes on the site. I used Google Alerts to find me the blogs and forums that talked about my niche market. Every single day I visited 10 of those blogs or forums and made contributing comments - leaving my URL in the author resource box or signature block. After three months this website ranks #1 on Google out of 11.2 million sites. That is nice but let me give you a few statistics that really put this situation into perspective.

A recent study was released showing the click habits of those visiting Google's first page. I was totally blown away to find that in the advertising block at the top only 2-3% of people clicked on those links. The #1 spot achieved between 31 and 45% of the clicks! And every single one of those clicks is FREE! the right side bar ads received a paltry 1% of the clicks.

I called my friend on his attention deficit device and told him to go search Google for his niche market. He was absolutely shocked. I told him that now that it is at the top, he'd better go put some product on it so he can start making money!

I have perhaps oversimplified the SEO parts here in the interest of brevity, but most of it is there. There are a few other techniques I used that help out a lot too.

There are an estimated 1.1 billion people on the net searching every day. If you have a passion, I'm betting that you can get a tiny little piece of that action without too much blood, sweat and tears. I hope to tell you more about how to achieve that in the coming weeks.

Structuring a Joint Venture Partnership - 3 Ways to Put One Together

Ok, you contacted a top Guru and you are ready to tell him what you want. The problem is what do you say? How do you set up your plan? Would you like to learn what to do?

There are 3 ways that you can structure your JV partnership that will help you get the best out of the experience. Let's get started with your plan.

Here is the first way to structure a JV partnership: You must think in terms of what commission do you want to give your partner. As a rule of thumb you don't want to be stingy. You want to commit to a partnership so give them the bulk of the commissions - up to 75% to 90%. This will give them the incentive to want to join in on a partnership with you.

Here is the second way to structure your JV partnership: You want to establish what marketing and promotion part you will be getting from your JV partner. You can ask for a one time mailing to his or her list or you can create a long-term plan where they will promote your product on an ongoing basis. This should be established up-front so that everyone is clear on the direction that your partnership will go.

Here is the third and final way to structure your JV partnership: This one is the heart of your partnership and that is the deal or contract that you want to set up. This can be done in many ways for example: If you have created a product than you can give them a sample and ask them for a testimonial to send to their list. Another example: if you are providing some kind of service you can offer them your service for free in exchange for them marketing and promoting your service. Last example: If your own a membership website you can offer them a set number of monthly or annual memberships or split the fee in half for their marketing and promotion efforts.

So there you have it, you want to think about what commissions that you want to pay, what marketing and promotion that you want to receive and what will the actual agreement that you will want to have in place to make this partnership work. Once you have established these structures you will be well on your way to a successful joint venture partnership.

Perpetual Traffic Systems - Down and Dirty Part 1

I've been writing about the changes in the Internet marketing business for about a year now. We all know that there are a ton of people out there just itching to get going at this, but what is stopping them is the rapidly changing environment. Just when you think you have it figured out, the search engines change their algorithm and you are left with your $197 useless product.

I find it quite amusing that some of the smarter gurus seem to be beginning to understand that they can no longer sell automated "out-of-the-box" solutions for Internet marketing. Some are panicking, and others are scrambling to put together new $197 packaged solutions. The theme now seems to be that they want to teach you how to get perpetual traffic to your site for free! You and I both know that nothing is free.

Just as a side note, one can tell that they've all been learning from each other. They use the standard tricks of the trade. First tell everyone you must be nuts for offering the product. Then tell them that by the time they finish watching the video, the product may be taken down or sold out! They call this trick "scarcity".

Some nig-nog somewhere decided that if you and I perceived the product to be in short supply, we would try harder to get it. That is like the realtor who wants to put a "sold" sign on a property that sells! When my last home sold, I made the realtor take the sign down. The property is sold and therefore no longer available. If he puts a sold sign on it, it has no value to me. And after all, the sale of my home is all about me - and not the realtor!

I recently reviewed three micro niche marketing systems that claim to be able to make you get all the free traffic you can imagine from a silly little loophole that the big search engines left open. The rich media presentations they use to promote their concepts do little more than try to demonstrate to you how complicated the system is and why you really need their support and services to navigate your way through.

Nothing could be further from the truth. The truth is that they want yet another $197 of your money so that they can send you electronic wares that they know 99.4% of you will never put to use.

Look, the bottom line is that paid search is declining. They've torn up the rule book and burned all existing SEO models. Whatever you do, don't buy a book on SEO that was published before July 2010! It would be pretty much useless to you.

Organic search is now king. This means that you must have great content on your site. You are going to have to focus on content for the first couple of months, and then when your site starts ranking on page two of the biggest search engine, you should shift gears toward refining your on-page and off-page SEO. Of course, hand in hand with organic search you will find the concept of measurable human activity. Human activity is going to be used by the big search engines to grade your page. I am going to talk more about this in detail in my next article.

How To Promote Your Online Business - What You Need To Know

An online business takes a lot of consideration. You must know how to begin one, create a site, design it, set up payment options, and ultimately promote it. This last step is one that many people forget, or perhaps-just do not want to deal with, as it seems too complicated. This said, promoting your site is just as important as having one. If you don't promote it, there's no point in having a site. Why is this? Consider how many sites there are online. How will people find yours? Only with the help of knowing how to promote your website will you be competitive with your market and make the profit you want. If you have never successfully promoted or marketed a site, there are a number of basic steps that you can take-without having to be a marketing guru. I explain these below.

Directories: The first aspect that a novice site promoter should know about is that of directories. There are many online directories that offer subscription a free and an annual subscription, and are a helpful way of directing web surfers to the types of businesses they are looking for. Directories will help categorize your site according to niche and market, and this-in turn, helps your search rank.

Your Website: Though it may seem basic, it is always necessary to revert back to your website to make sure you are promoting your business in the most effective manner. Look at it objectively, and consider its basic aesthetic and usability. Is it easy to use and shop? These are necessary points to consider-especially if your business is exclusively online. It is also the place that you will be directing your more direct promotional efforts back to, so it is necessary that it is professional and convenient-otherwise, clients will just leave without purchasing a thing.

Learn Online Marketing: Though the terms SEO and SEM may strike fear into even the most brazen of business people's hearts; it shouldn't as there are varying degrees of internet marketing-and you don't need to understand and implement all aspects in order to reap the benefits. This said, you should have a working knowledge of both terms, in order to compete for the customers in you and your competitors' market. Most information can be found online regarding search engine marketing and search engine optimization if you have the time and energy. If you do not, hiring a consultant or a company trained in these areas could be your best option.

Email Marketing: Aside from basic internet marketing, a person with an online business should always keep in steady contact with their online clients. The best and most effective way to do this is through email marketing-that is emailing your customers on a regular basis. You can have your clients sign up for a newsletter that tells them about sales, promotions, and new products; and this way, you are sending emails that have been requested, instead of spamming and turning potential clients away.
