Online Business Success: If It 'Aint Working, Fix It!

Results. Are you getting them? Whether it is in your individual ideas, goals in life or online business, there are many ways to evaluate our personal success. Of course, there is the old adage that 'success is a process' - and I am a firm believer in this one, because without it, people who have great ambition in life would have to permanently label ourselves 'unsuccessful'.

We can measure our achievements in these helpful ways:

- Results and objectives reached
- Progression in the direction of our desired goals
- Growth (new skills and self-growth that empower us to produce results)
- Productive action (which complete steps and milestones)

Have you noticed that these items were not in the list:

- Persistence
- Consistent action
- Success mindset
- Effort
- Patience
- Resilience
- Optimism
- Leadership
- Willpower

While I completely think that these are essential in getting results, unless they are a goal in their own right (e.g. to be a leader, to develop a robust success mindset, etc.) they DO NOT MEASURE success in relation to achieving your greater goals.

Therefore if you are not manifesting RESULTS in your online business, relying on persistent action, leadership or resilience is not likely to get them, UNLESS you have the vehicle, the system and the behaviors to match.

What I am really saying here, is that...

Massive action in the wrong strategy does not produce results.
Leadership in the wrong crowd or market doesn't bring results.
Perseverance in ineffective systems does not produce results.
Optimism that does not transmute into productive action does not bring results.
Endurance without individual responsibility does not produce results.
Effort without growth does not produce results.

Keep track of your success. If you are not creating real results, find out WHY! Initiate the essential adjustments, and synergise your methods, your behaviors, and your mindset.
Match your persistence and spirit to personal growth.
Match your leadership to your greater objectives.
Match your energy and personal resources to productive actions and systems that works best for you.

If you work hard, but the 'systems' aren't, it is time to change them now!!

If you're PERSISTING at not getting results, consider the saying: "If you keep on doing what you've always done, you'll keep on getting what you've always got." W. L. Bateman

If it is not working, then you really have to fix it!

Google Pay Per Click Tips - Are You Investing or Wasting Your Marketing Dollars?

Just today, I was engaged to get better results on Pay Per Click for a cleaning guy in California and here are some serious problems that I noticed in the campaign:

1) All Keywords were in Broad Match (OMG big waste of money):

Did you know that when you place "roof cleaning" in broad match, someone searching for "buy new roof" or "roof installation" etc. could end up clicking on your Ad. What a waste of money if you never installed roofs!!

So not just choose keywords correctly also select the correct match type (Broad/Broad Match Modifier/Phrase/Exact)

2) Display Network was Switched on (Even more Wastage of Money)

Display networks are publishers or websites that have chosen to display Google Ads. Without careful monitoring, it is a big waste of money which people do not realize and just choose to go with the default setting wasting lot of their marketing dollars! Imagine a website providing "carpet installation" could be showing your Ads because you have "roof installation" placed in broad match & your Display Network is switched on. The broad match will match up your Ad because you have "installation" in both keywords.

Only if you know how Display networks would benefit, use 'em or else just disable that option.

3) Only 1 Ad Written...Boring & Tough to Expect a click

Just saw the CTR (No of times it got clicked vs. it was shown)was less than 0.5% which was fairly obvious...which means you might end up with a low quality score. People not clicking on your Ads may send out a signal that your Ads are not relevant. In the long-term, you might see a rise in per click cost with a declining quality score.

Always write multiple Ad copies and measure the performance to see which one is working & which one is not.

4) Bad Choice of keywords

Just everything that came up in Google suggestions was added without seeing what is useful, what is not.Absolute waste of money!! Choose your keywords & monitor the performance constantly. With Google suggestions, you got to be careful in your choice of keywords.

Finally, the only 1 good thing I found was at least the geography was set correctly. At least people in New York were not seeing the Ads show up for a Californian cleaning company!

Hope this helps you guys managing your Google, Bing Pay Per Click accounts! Call Me if you need any help or have questions - 888-682-7487.

Stay At Home Jobs Can Be A Reality For You With These 3 Easy Tips

Stay at home jobs are more popular than ever today. Many people no longer want to drive for a few hours each day just to get to and from work. Also, many companies are seeing dramatic reductions in their costs by simply letting their employees work from home. If you are interested in acquiring one of these jobs, you should read this article. Stay at home jobs can be a reality for you with these 3 easy tips.

Tip 1 - Select the type of work you would like do. There are a variety of occupations you can choose from if you wish to work from home. You can be anything from a sales associate to a typist.

By selecting the type of position you would like to fill, you will find the next steps to be much easier to handle overall. Many job search sites are organized by occupation. Once you know exactly what you would like to do online, you can simply go directly to the categories that interest you and begin the next step.

Tip 2 - Review the job search sites that are available to you. There are many work from home websites in business today. Some of these websites can provide you with work immediately, while others simply match employees with employers.

You can select these websites based on a number of different factors too. If you are looking for a very professional environment to work in, you should certainly look into the websites that have been in business for a long time and have well-organized and well-designed systems. Some of the professional sites online today make it very easy for employees to find employers who need their specific skill sets.

Tip 3 - Submit your personal information to these job search websites and construct a professional profile. Many of these websites display information about their clients to help employers find the most qualified professionals available for their assignments.

When you submit information about yourself, take tests to prove your proficiency in various subject areas, and you construct your profile, you should always do your best. Employers will be reviewing this information to determine whether or not you are right for their assignments. Once your profile is in place, you have submitted some basic information about yourself, and you have taken a few tests to demonstrate your skills, you will likely receive job offerings from employers. Some websites let employees apply for specific assignments too. If you joined one of these websites, you should proactively seek out assignments that match your specific skill sets and preferences.

Realtor As Matchmaker

It is the objective of a Matchmaker in romantic love to bring compatible couples together. This is accomplished by first seeking to understand the personalities of each individual and the needs and desires each wants in a mate. When I think of a matchmaker, I can't help but hum the tune to the song "Matchmaker" from the Fiddler on the Roof musical:

Matchmaker, matchmaker
Make me a match
Find me a find
Catch me a catch
Matchmaker, matchmaker
Look through your book
And make me a perfect match

The ideal match is one where not only is the couple compatible, but also there is that spark, that something special that is so difficult to quantify and qualify.

How is a Realtor like the romantic matchmaker? Buyers come to the Realtor with a list of needs and desires they would like in a home. If it is a couple making a purchase, and particularly if there are children involved, the Realtor must seek first to understand the personalities of each of the parties - because each will come to the decision differently, each has their own unique needs and desires. Then the Realtor, as in the song "looks through their book" by having intimate knowledge of the area, what's currently on the market, what has sold and gone under contract recently, and even those homes that could be a "match" but are not currently on the active market. It is an "art", not a science. It is like putting together the pieces of a puzzle without having the virtue of the box to know what the final outcome will look like! It is dynamic because the market is constantly changing and there are so many variables the Realtor has to be in tune with.

There is young man from church that my friends and I have been trying to find "a match" for. So we asked him what he was looking for in a lady, and he said that he would like someone with these 3 qualities: sexy, smart and sweet. The sexy in that he has to be attracted to her physically; smart in that he wants a partner that is his intellectual equal; sweet in that he would enjoy her company. The same 3 qualities also have correlations in real estate "matchmaking". To be sexy means the home has some "wow" factor to the buyer, some spark ignites when the buyer enters the property. To be smart means that the home is a good investment, that the comparables support the value and the condition of the property is evaluated and appropriate remedies are negotiated. And to be sweet, the house isn't just a building, but it feels like home.

The best Realtors see the twinkle in the buyer's eyes when he/she enters a home. I have discovered in my years of "matching" buyers with homes that finding the right home is very much like falling in love.

Karen Briscoe with the Huckaby Briscoe Group, Keller Williams Realty is one of those "matchmaker" Realtors. Please contact her at 703-734-0192 or [mailto:Homes@HBGroup.us]Homes@HBGroup.us as she would be delighted to be of assistance. Or visit the HBGroup website for more information at [http://www.HuckabyBriscoe.com]http://www.HuckabyBriscoe.com.

Small Business SEO Search Tips

Small business seo searches are crucial where there is no money for extensive TV campaigns. "SEO" (search engine optimization) is a technique where businesses line up their website content to match themselves higher on a search engine ranking (ie Google); when customers see the business on the top of the page they are more than likely to purchase; hence why everyone wants to be the first seen. Since SEO can be done on the cheap, small businesses should be matching their own business website to their clientele. It's as easy as identifying, publishing and checking.

Identifying your business is paramount, it's as easy as acknowledging what you sell. If you were a computer shop, being at the top of computer search engines would be ideal. However since other computer shops do the same thing standing out is harder. So, identifying alternative words that people search for is important. For instance, if you sold computers in Sacramento you may end up publishing items on the web that match up to the term "Sacramento computers". This is under the impression people in Sacramento will buy computers. Successful businesses will utilize as many variations of the terms to get noticed.

Small business seo searches are locked onto words like a heat seeker. So, publishing documents to the web with words containing your business terms need to match with a person's typing. Since you can't guarantee everything, you need to publish lots of content on the relevant term and build its viewership. In short, you want to be the guy people turn to for information, like a person to a Wikipedia.

Checking is also a good habit to do as a small business seo habit. You want to clarify that when people are looking for computers, they are looking at you first...not second. If you are pages beyond the front your optimization needs more work. The quickest thing you can do though is to be the top of your business name (unique relating terms are great here).

If you can guess what your audience is thinking, small business seo searches should be easier for you.

How to Start a Duct Tape Wallet Business - Where to Find Black Duct Tape and 24 Additional Colors

Most people know duct tape to be gray or silver.

What they don't realize is it is also available in camouflage, safety stripe, and aqua blue too.

And while black is still a sought after color deserving a spot right up there beside gray or silver, today I want to discuss the great variety of colors of duct tape which are available to you.

This Back Pocket For Colored Only

The additional cost to carry several colors is more than offset by the fact that you can appeal to a wider array of customers with your wallets if they are available in a variety of colors and combinations.

Once you begin producing duct tape wallets from the colors available, you will see that people are literally surprised when they discover that the waterproof fabric they have come to know and love is also available in their favorite color.

Alright, this is the selection which can be obtained from our supplier:

Purple
Dark Blue
Pink
School Bus Yellow
Camo
Real tree Camouflage
Safety Stripe
Medium Blue
Black
Aqua Blue
Brown
Yellow
Burgundy
Dark Green
Light Green
Olive Drab (Army Green)
Red
Orange
Silver
Tan
White
Fluorescent Green
Fluorescent Yellow
Fluorescent Orange
Fluorescent Pink

Mix And Match Colors For Best Effect

A great way to attract significant attention is to mix and match colors in order to produce wallets that would astonish those stuffy types who swear by their black accessories.

Some pretty extreme impressions and finishes of duct tape can be found in specialty craft shops like Michael's and they almost always have a good selection of tie die patterns in various hues and even chrome duct tape can be found from time to time. And while there are plenty of companies selling duct tape, the colors listed above are only available from Tape Brothers, the people who supply our company.

You will soon find that one of the major advantages to having access to several colors is the ability to build wallets that correspond to corporate colors in order to interest them in this unique marketing concept.

Because once you have seen an orange and purple duct tape wallet, there is no going back to black.

Here's hoping you stick with it!

Thank you, friend.

Home Based Business - Will it Work For You?

Presumably if you are reading this then you are trying to decide if a home based business is for you. What does it take? Do you have the right resources? How are people successfully working from home now?

I have worked at home for many years and understand some of the concerns that you may have as I've already been there and worked through most of them. The first thing you need is to have the motivation and an idea.

If you already know what you want to do then you have already jumped the first hurdle! If not, then you need to start researching. There is no shortcut to this and your success depends on how well you conduct your research and match any potential opportunities to your needs.

There are a wealth of opportunities out there which all offer differing rewards. Decide what you hope to gain from working from home and make yourself a list of criteria. This should include the time you have available (how many hours a day, what time of the day, how many days of the week), the resources you have available (telephone access, computer access, childcare help, support network etc) and the finance you have to put into your business.

Measure each opportunity against your list of criteria and disregard the ones that don't match up. Secondly you should never get involved with something that you are not 100% committed to. If you do, you will find that your enthusiasm dries up after a short time and you will struggle to find the motivation to continue when you face challenges. Ideally, the opportunity you settle with will match your interests and experience.

Finally, if you don't have all the skills required to make the opportunity work, look at what training is offered, or what training you could access in order to achieve those skills.

Once you have your opportunity in place look around at your home. Once you start working at home this will also become your office. In order not to get constantly distracted allocate yourself a usable room or at least a space that you can regard as your working area. If you are going to work from your kitchen table, that's fine, but when you start work each morning, clear the area and make it appear, to you, to be as business like as possible.

Whatever space you choose, you should have all the equipment you will need close at hand. This may include your computer, phone, pens/paper, notebook. If you are doubling up on a space in your home (ie. the kitchen table) keep the things you need in a box, or bag that can be taken out at the start of each working day.

Although it's okay to multi-task, if you are good at doing this, but avoid getting too distracted. It can get tempting to read the newspaper when it is delivered, or to switch the television on in the afternoon, but if you fall into this regularly you will not be giving yourself a fair chance of success. After all, if you were employed would you expect your employer to allow you to do this during working hours?

If you are used to being employed, or around a lot of people on a regular basis, then working from home can at first seem isolating. One way to combat this is to join online forums and make friends with people in your chosen industry. Or find a mentor that you can call on to encourage you along your path. If you feel that loneliness could be a barrier for you, then prepare for it so as not to find yourself spending more time during the day talking to friends or family than you are working.

I am often asked about the tax implications of working from home and this can be easily answered. If you are based in the UK you will need to register as self-employed with the Inland Revenue within your first three months of trading or receive a fine. Your first day of trading is usually taken as the day you make your first sale. You will then need to submit a Tax Return each year, which is issued in April and needs to be filed with the Revenue by the following 31st January. Unless you know exactly what you are doing, don't be tempted to fill the return in yourself, but use an accountant.

That should cover all the basics that you need to work from home with some degree of success and I hope that you have found the information helpful.

This article was written by Karen Turl who is an internet entrepreneur, UK tax accountant and published author. http://www.midasplatinum.com

What You Need to Create Passive Income

Let me start by saying if you are thinking you are going to start this tomorrow and next month retire that is HIGHLY unlikely. Let me also say that if you do not have or can muster some discipline, commitment, determination, confidence, among other things you will find success near to impossible. To build a business once that is solid enough to last for years spinning off income is no small feat.

"He who has the why to live for can figure out almost any how" Frederich Nietzsche.

Let me state that there are a multitude of ways to make passive income online and off, but what you must realize is you need a plan. Why? A plan helps you (hopefully)

* avoid expensive mistakes,
* keeps you on track,
* allows you to break out the tasks to be completed,
* Allows you to schedule these into your current life.

And with this plan you need to be truthful regarding your skills, passions and budget. A few other things to make sure you have; a market, a mentor, a clear and lucid vision based on solid research, a separate bank account for your business, a business plan and sales funnel(s), a safety net.

So how to make passive income. There are at least 5 ways to make passive income online, you will need to mix and match as well as have multiple sites.

* Your own affiliate program
* Utilizing Affiliate Programs of others
* Selling your own product
* CPA (Cost Per Action) The actions defined in a cost-per-action agreement relate directly to some type of conversion, with sales and registrations among the most common. This does not include deals based solely on solely clicks, which are referred to specifically as cost-per-click or CPC. (from marketingterms.com)
* PPC (Pay Per Click) Paying per click is sometimes seen by some as a middle ground between paying per impression and paying per action. When paying per impression, the advertiser assumes the risk of low-quality traffic generated by the publisher. When getting paid for actions, the publisher assumes the risk of low-converting offers by the advertiser. In the PPC model, the publisher does not have to worry about the sales conversion rate of the target site, and the advertiser does not have to worry about how many impressions it takes to attract the specified number of clicks.(from marketingterms.com)

Mix and match is most necessary as to create your own product is the way to have your own affiliate program. It is necessary to have multiple sites so that your CPA and PPC is multiplied by each site you have.

Teachers - The Best Match and the Most Qualified Group to Create a Residual Second Income

Teachers are the best match for businesses especially when they can select from a proven method. It probably has to do with the skills they have already developed in their professional life which are very congruent with businesses outside their line of work. This might be something for you to do in your summer vacation that might turn into a substantial residual second income for you.

Part of the teacher's success in my opinion is due to the many contacts and quality friendships that they have developed over the years and also their specialized professional training. They know many people from all walks of life some of them very influential.

Do You Google? 5 Easy Ways to Enhance Your Search and Really Find What You Are Looking For

Internet without searching is like a car without wheels. You won't get too far. Using the same analogy - would you rather have a car with new tires or tires that you found on a junk yard? Both would work, but the new ones will just work much better. And the same applies to the way you search. But don't worry, to go from junk yard searches to brand new Michelin's won't cost you anything. All you need is to ask Google nicely. Here's 5 simple queries that will make Google cooperate nicely.

1. Enter keywords you want to exclude from your search.

Syntax: search terms -word to exclude

Consider this - you are looking for online marketing opportunities. Entering simple 'online marketing opportunities' into Google will give you results for everything that is even remotely related to online marketing opportunities. But what if you only want to see results for affiliate marketing, GPT, e-commerce etc but not for MLM? You can refine your search like this: online marketing opportunities -MLM. This will tell Google to exclude anything related to MLM and display results only for all other online marketing opportunities. One thing to remember - the syntax uses a space between your search keyword and the minus sign. If you do not include the space, it will only act as hyphenated word.

2. Search for exact phrase.

Syntax: "keyword phrase"

If you are looking for an exact phrase, without substituting any part of the phrase with synonyms, and do not want Google to insert any other words between your phrase, simply put double quotes around you phrase. By doing so, Google will only display results that match your phrase 100%, and match the word order of your phrase exactly.

3. Search for exact match.

Syntax: +keyword

This is similar to double quotes, but allows you to specify a single word from your phrase that you want to match 100%. Consider this: affiliate marketing opportunities +NY. The results will match NY exactly and will not use any synonyms for the keyword NY. It will not display results where NY is spelled out as New York, NYC etc. One thing to remember: The plus sign mus be right before the word you want to match, with no space in between. If you place a space between the + and the word, it will act as query addition, not as exact match.

4. Substitute words with wildcard.

Syntax: *

Many times, you do not know the exact phrase. In that case, you can substitute parts of the * wildcard. This can be also usefull if you want to include several terms into one phrase. Consider this: affiliate * opportunities. This will result in Google substituting the * sign with any words. For example, it will display searches that include word 'online', 'offline', 'marketing', 'money making' etc.

5. Search within a website.

Syntax: keyword site:NameOfTheWebsite

With this search you can search for your keyword within a specific web site. The search results will not display any results from any other site, even if the results are the same (for example, the same article posted on different web sites). Consider this: affiliate marketing site:WarriorForum. This displays all results that include keywords affiliate marketing from WarriorForum web site. Normally, you can perform these searches on forums themselves, however, this syntax works also for sites and blogs that do not have search implemented in them. And there is one more cool trick you can do with this - you can search within all web sites with specific extension. For example affiliate marketing site:.edu will display results for affiliate marketing only from.edu web sites.

Use these five simple queries, combine them and experiment with them, and soon enough, you and Google searches will be in sync. You will save lots of time sorting through results you were not looking for. And as we all know - time is money.
