Find a Job That You Love Doing Now - Like Video Games, Part 2 of 2
In continuing to encourage you to do a job or business that relates to your interest, consider Video Game Testing. Luckily you can work the kind of games you are already good at in these types of occupations. If you like car racing or RTS games like WarCraft then search for jobs that test these kinds of games. Some players only like MMORPG etc. You would try for jobs that do your type of games, and the platforms you like to do. If you prefer Xbox, Playstation or a PC, great, go for it. The more types of games you are great at the more jobs that are available for you. So you submit applications with all the companies that do what you like. They will send you games, you play them and send them a list of bugs that you have found. You will probably get paid every two weeks like most companies do. Of course you will need to let companies know that they can contact you when they have games ready for testing. Make sure you have a good resume why you have great gaming skills. The usual why you are the best qualified for their job and knowing something about their company does not hurt either when interviewing. So let me get down to the chase. This big fifty billion dollar business produce games that have bugs in them. Customers will return these and tell their friends and they will lose millions of dollars for a few glitches and maybe even lay off people. Their programmers are not all gamers and will not find all the bugs. They will save millions by paying someone who is an avid gamer to show them the bugs. You can even do this job at a coffee shop if you have a good laptop that has two video cards. As long as you can run the game you can test from anywhere. You can play/test as many games as you have time to do. So you will make more money the more time you put in. Some companies only list jobs for the United States, United Kingdom and Canada cause they cannot support other countries for now. Usually billing for credit cards is done with High-grade Encryption (AES-256, 256bit) so you are usually safe in paying them. They give you information of available companies that hire beta game testers and show you how to get a job. Sometimes companies have subscriptions for a period of months to give you time to look for a job. Hopefully you will find one within 6 months and that gives them time to update their guides. Of course they cannot guarantee you a job as you will be working for the gaming company and not the company that will show you how to get the job. Depending on the job, they might require you to have certain platforms like PS2,3 or Xbox 360 or a computer with certain requirements to run the testing. Some will provide these for you depending on their job descriptions. If you want to be successful in finding a job or a business and be able to work at home then look for something that you are already familiar with and would do even if no one paid you...I am a man that has looked for a business for many years to become successful at and after many tries I have found Internet Marketing. It does not take much money and at 56, being Internet challenged, I can learn this, work at home and quit my jobs. Remaking myself to try to improve me is a ongoing affair, with learning a new challenge comes a better me. Marketing other businesses products and creating a self running system seems ideal to me. Working for someone else is no way to become financially independent or to develop yourself into someone new.
