The First Step - How Can What You Know Help Others?
You are a huge repository of knowledge. When I say that I mean all of your life experiences have taught you so many valuable facts and figures, ways and means, and now that you have decided to make your way into the business world, that information that you have "stored away" will provide valuable input for the field you choose. Imagine your favourite hobby becoming your path to new income streams! Picture a web site with your creations and people who visit telling you "That is so great! How do I do that?" or "That is beautiful! I want to Buy one!" It can be done! The most important thing you can do now is to get started with all of the information and training you need to make you an unqualified success. There is more to it than making the decision. The web has provided a brand new business venue replete with countless opportunities. Sadly, there are an equal number of pitfalls. For every legitimate business opportunity there are at least two scams designed to take only your money and give nothing in return. The most important time invested will be to research the business you choose. If you are in marketing, do you have a monthly minimum purchase? If yes, is it a reasonable amount? Do you have to carry enormous inventories of product that will be difficult to sell? What is the return policy? If you choose to leave the company you are associated with, is there a penalty? In short - what is the risk involved with the company you are thinking about joining? If you are marketing your own product(s) do you know the legal obligations of you and your customers? Do you understand the time period when buyers can change their mind? How will you be paid? Once you have made your way through all of the preparation work and, as it is said, have all of your ducks in a row, you will experience the satisfaction of hearing someone say "This is great! How do I do that?" or "That is wonderful! I would like to buy one!" There is no phrase or paragraph to describe the feeling, it has to be experienced. I wish you success. My dream of writing, maybe even being published, can be crossed off my "To Do List". I recently retired but I am not quite ready to settle in with the TV Guide and one of those huge bags of popcorn. Imagine my pleasure when I discovered a way to enjoy writing, something I have wanted to explore for many years. Now I am confident I can make my contribution to future generations. My words will form my "Heritage Quilt" for my children and grandchildren.
