There are no men or women in the world who wouldn't like to work from home. And everybody has his own reason. For someone that is the possibility to organize your time better. Someone will be interested in a home-based business because his income will depend only on his own work, and not on someone else's work (or lack of work). There are many reasons, and here I'll try to explain the advantages of home entrepreneurship, based on my experience and my personal observation. As mentioned before, there are some obvious reasons why you should work from home, but there are some reasons that many people are missing. Over time, after months of reading and talking to people, I've came up with this short list of advantages of home-based business.

1. Working from home

We'll start with most obvious reasons. And this is the most obvious reason in the world! Just imagine, you get up from bed, have breakfast, and then you sit in front of your computer and start working while still in your pajamas and still drinking coffee! How cool is that?

2. Better time management

When you are running your business from home, you don't have an angry boss that will yell at you when you late for just 5 minutes. There are no deadlines, there are no annoying co-workers. There are only YOU and people that YOU choose to work with. And the best thing is that you organize your time. You decide is it better for to work early in the morning, or maybe you prefer late night work. You decide are you going to work 8 hours a day, or 3 hours a day. There are no restrictions.

Well, there are two restrictions, and it's your own motivation and ambition. If you are more motivated, you will work more. If you are less motivated you will work less. And yes, it's so simple.

3. Work environment from your dreams

Can you imagine to work from your dream place? Imagine that you work from your lake house, you sit down at your garden, working, and around you birds are singing, and a wonderful landscape is resting your eyes. Or, maybe you prefer to work from your favorite park. Or even better, from your favorite coffee shop. Possibilities are endless. Of course, you realize that this is much better than working in those "cages" that are called offices, where everybody yells and disturbs you with all kind of stupid questions and small-talks.

4. More time with your family

This so obvious that there is no need to explain. If you have 9-5 job, you have to get up in 7:30AM (sometimes maybe earlier), work all day, and depending from type of job and traffic, you are home at 7PM. You are so tired, you eat something, go to shower, and then go to bed, because the day was awful, and tomorrow will be even worse. And how much time you can spend with your family living like this?

As mentioned before, by working from home you decide how long and when are you going to work. You decide when you are going to have lunch break. Plus, you are not going to waste time in traffic. Even if you decide to work 9-5 from home, you are still in advantage. You don't have to get up early, you won't be exhausted by noise and irritating co-workers, and you won't come home late.

5. Low-cost start-up

Starting your home based business doesn't have to cost you tons of money. It can vary from $0 up to tens of thousands of dollars. That depends from the type of business.

In most cases, if you are working from all what you going to need is your computer, an internet connection and your motivation. For example, I'm a network marketer, and my entire business costs me $40-$50 per month. But, if I wanted to do some other home based business, for example some manufacturing, I would probably need few thousand dollars to buy equipment and tools. Again, it all depends from the type of business.

And these are only 5 reasons why I think that the home based business is the right thing. There are more reasons. As I said before, everyone has their own reasons.

And to be fair, there are some disadvantages with home based business.

For example, it is good to be near your family, but that family can sometimes distract you from work. Some people are not capable to manage their own time, and that can lead to business crash, because you won't finish some work in time...

There are more disadvantages, but they all have one in common: They are all related to yourself, and your own mindset. And the question is: How you can fight against yourself and your own brain? There are many methods, but I practice just one, and it's very effective for me: Always have your goals in front you. Find out what is that that motivates to. Is that a new car, new house, your kid's college fund? By keeping your goals always on your mind, and in front your eyes, you will be motivated to work much better, and at that moment your business, your job, becomes your pleasure, not your obligation. Recently I've been thinking about what would be some of the "treasures" of networking. Now based on my experiences and through research here is what I have come up with. Networking can sometimes be under looked by most people which is ok because there was a time when I had never before heard of the phrase or even knew it existed. Today with the internet involved networking has become a lot easier as far as reaching out to people. Think about this there are over 360 million users on the internet in the world total out of that in north America there are over 108 million users! The internet has totally changed the way the world works and as I said networking on the internet right now is definitely a way to go whether it be business related or just simply having a presence online. Now the listings of these "treasures" is irrelevant being that they all intermingle with each other.

Here is what I've come up with, the first treasure would be The People. Online you have the opportunity to talk to people, not just in your own neighborhood or even your own city but from all over the world. Now if your networking is business related this opens up a huge market for you and your business. Whether it is or isn't doesn't really matter the relationships you can develop become a huge treasure in itself. With these new relationships forming their is endless possibilities. There can be influence, sharing information, tips, new learning experiences, business strategies, job opportunities, you name it it is all possible. Think about this, your life can totally be transformed within a matter of months or you can help transform someone else's. What a treasure!

The second would have to be Impact. There is definitely a way to impact or influence someone when you are building these new relationships. It is something that is achievable by great work. You can do this anywhere if you are willing to really work hard for it. Like anything it is going to take small steps, learning, changing your thinking, attitude, and who is going to be following you. You need to remember that followers seek leaders not the other way around. Business - then and now:
When I was in my 20s, when computers were unheard of, business was the traditional physical exchange of goods and services for money. Now that the world is wired, "business" has taken a new face. Although the "exchange of goods and services" component is still there, but the "physical" aspect is practically obliterated by the term "online."

Melding the old and the new:
In a lot of aspects, except for the terminologies and "how" online business is conducted, the precepts remain unchanged vis-�-vis traditional business. Online or traditional, a business still consists of these basic components:

1. A product/service to sell;
2. Promotion/advertisement or "sales funnel" to sell it;
3. Turning (converting) visitors (traffic) into paying customers.

Simple. Yet so many are failing. I bet my last cent that the emails I get daily from people claiming to be raking in millions each month is nothing but copywriting hype. Statistically, online business has a 97% failure rate. But millions, still, are going into it each month. Why?

So why go into online business?
Good question. Why am I into it especially now, at 62 years old, I should be enjoying my retirement. Sadly, things are not as simple as it seems. Here are some reasons why:

1. Can't afford to retire:
As hard it may be to accept, some people just don't have the money to retire. People in the retirement age bracket have different needs. We are alone and vulnerable, thus we need some forms of entertainment once in a while. We have expensive medical bills we don't want our children to be burdened with.

Others, used to working for the better half of their lives cannot come to grips with total retirement. We still have some juice" to make our lives meaningful. 3. Additional income:
It is common knowledge that a straight salary is never enough to take care of a family-man's basis necessities, not to mention college education for the kids; and an annual vacation and a new house for the growing children.

4. Organizational dynamics.

5. The need to learn something new:
Surveys showed that the average American worker shall have five career changes in his working life. These changes can only happen through computer literacy.
