Turn Your Truck Into an Eco-Truck for Recycling Profits

You'd like to see your haul-away business make a great profit and do great things for your local community. That's just a part of your value system-making good money, but also doing good things for others. So how could you do that? By turning your truck into an eco-truck. Here's how:

Your truck is your ticket to good money. By starting your own haul-away business you not only get to be your own boss, but have total freedom over your schedule. You can work as little or as much as you'd like. People pay you to haul away unwanted items or debris. How much? After deducting dump fees, fuel costs and vehicle maintenance, the current national average is $53 an hour. Yes, that's right, an hour!

But did you know you could make even more money by recycling items? Many first-time junk haulers don't know that probably half of the items they haul away can actually be recycled or re-sold. Dropping off items at a recycler is a great way to make extra money. As if making $53 an hour wasn't good enough, you can actually make more money by doing this. Not only is it great for your wallet, but it's simply a great thing to do for the environment. There is no reason to clog up landfills with unwanted items that can actually be recycled. It's simply the right and smart thing to do.

More and more people are going green these days. Businesses too. It's a smart idea for businesses to do things for the community, to try to help others. Recycling is the way you can do that. Let your potential customers know that you recycle as many items as you can. They'll be happy to hear their unwanted items and debris aren't just going to a landfill, but instead that an effort is being made to recycle all that can be recycled. Be sure to include this fact on your service sheet and web site or blog. It's simply a great selling point.

Making an effort towards recycling could also help land you in your local newspaper. Newspapers love to cover new businesses, especially ones that do good things for the environment and the community. If your business engages in a lot of recycling, that could be just the angle to get you in the newspaper. Put together a press release that clearly states this fact, and you could find yourself getting a call for an interview before you know it. An article in the newspaper is not only completely free to you, but opens you up to a lot of potential business.

By turning your truck into an eco-truck, your haul-away business could see increased profits and respectability from your local community. It's simply the smart thing to do. To learn more, read Haul It Away, available at: rel=nofollow http://extraincomebulletin.com

Printers Really Have To Jump Through Hoops To Finish Publications

Many companies have to find a way to print very concise images. Old methods of printing are just not suitable since the larger an image gets, the fuzzier it becomes. Even colors tend to bleed into the surrounding areas and this is not really a good look to have. With this in mind, an imagesetter, a computer controlled device (COD), and screen platesetters, a raster image processor (RIP), has stopped this problem to some extent and clean and crisp images is the outcome.

When using the COD film provides an image by being exposed to a kind of bromide paper. This then results in a monochrome image which is what is used in the printing process. Although the image can be quite large, as tall as a man in fact, the image is still crisp around the edges. However, this has been superseded by the RIP which can produce a lithographic plate which is used in an offset printer style set up. This is obviously excellent at producing masses of images one after the other.

Both of these methods are used in the newspaper industry since so many copies can be produced from one plate. Colored photos can also be produced in the same fashion and this is why color supplements have become so popular these days.

Before the process begins, each plate has to be inspected carefully. Checking is now not that difficult since computers are used. In the past, each page of the newspaper had to be put onto a block. Each block would have to be read by a human and then inked and pressed onto paper just one sheet at a go. This is what compositors did but nowadays, and with the aid of computers, this process is much faster and more economical.

Even in this day and age though, for a newspaper to let through any kind of mistake or misprint the consequences can be quite horrendous. Misspelling the name of someone very important would be frowned upon and some spelling mistakes can be quite embarrassing so mistakes have to be checked well before the printing stage is reached.

Even captions which have to be matched up to the photos are also checked since this is also another source of embarrassment if the newspaper is to keep its reputation. Proof readers are the ones which check all the spellings and if they get anything wrong, heads do tend to roll. Indeed, a proof reader gets the finished copy of the paper much as a buyer would get it.

The processes that a newspaper or magazine has to go through are many and varied, but what this does is to give the reader something which is very professional looking and right up to date. Although the process is complicated, with color photos having several plates to make just one photo, the results are bound to be reflected in the amount of copies that the publication sells. Without these sales, no one would know what is going on in the world and this covers everything from politics to fashion trends.

Stewart Wrighter recently reviewed printing equipment and was impressed with the technology used today in the [http://www.genesis-equipment.com/productslink_Refurbished-Imagesetters_1.aspx]imagesetter. He replaced his [http://www.genesis-equipment.com/productslink_Refurbished-Platesetters_2.aspx]screen platesetters in his office.

Offline Marketing - Is It Right for You?

Do a search on Google or Yahoo for offline marketing. You will find there are dozens of ideas on how to promote a business. Too many choices can lead to confusion and make a person wonder, what is offline marketing? Is it promoting an online business offline or is it promoting an offline business using a combination of Internet and traditional forms of advertising?

Offline and online are becoming hybrid forms of marketing strategy. You need both offline and online if you are going to successfully have an effective marketing strategy. It is the internet that will open up the full potential of your campaign and allow you to develop business with new prospect and customers at a reasonable cost. This is especially true if you are in a service business. The product is you and what is between your ears. The trick is making sure the right people know what is available to them and how to access it.

Traditional advertising often is a shot-gun approach to reaching the target customer being sought. Traditional approaches have been the yellow pages, radio, newspaper, direct mail etc. Get the idea? If asked, "...are you targeted in on the best prospects for your business when these types of advertising is used?" The answer is ALMOST ALWAYS, no or I am not sure. Take two of the most common forms of advertising. Yellow pages and newspapers. Both are expensive, static, inflexible, and not targeted to your customer.

The newspaper is circulated to a specific area, and to a small percent of the population. A recent audit showed that 24 of the top 25 newspapers lost circulation that supports a trend set decades ago. So if fewer than 5% of people in a community subscribe to the paper, you are missing 95% of the potential market. Now it is true, all of those people are not your prospects, but many of them could be...so how do you reach them? One last point on the newspaper... it is expensive.

Yellow pages is next. First, the yellow pages are expensive. It's once a year insertion and your ad will not change, even though your business will. Again, where are you in the yellow pages and is there a competitor nearby. How about all around you. If you do not have an ad and only a listing, you are hard to find and not in the group that someone searches to find you. Your business listing or ad is only one of a heard of sheep that is searching for notice and visibility. It is not going to happen in the yellow pages.

The Internet has several advantages over both the newspaper and yellow pages.

A targeted audience - spend your money wisely on the right people

Low cost- pay for only those that show an interest in your product

Large display banners - Ad color and visibility that can't be missed

Connect with your prospect-Know who is looking for you and reach out to them

So the question "is offline marketing right for you, the answer is a definite yes. Because you will be using several offline techniques to market your business online. ALL of those offline techniques are tied to your online website. Knowing how to use them to your advantage is the key.

Start today by grabbing offline secrets and strategies to propel your business. Go to [http://www.offlinemarketinggold.com/]www.OfflineMarketingGold.com for fresh, cutting edge ideas made for you.

Why Local News and Niche Magazine Publishing Are Winning

Local news and niche publishing wrapped in hyper-local advertising are the inevitable future of profitable media. Large publishing companies are going under with the weight of many mouths to feed and long, expensive distribution channels to get their messages to their readers' coffee tables. As the canopy opens on this space, nimble, smaller, even home based media businesses are sprouting.

How has this happened? I believe it is a combination of diminishing returns on the old 'rivers of gold' (once controlled by the big end of town), with the advent of a glut of media channels and technologies for new delivery models. The financial 'backbone' of traditional newspaper publishing was always the classifieds, real estate and automotive, along with per-copy purchase revenues. To start a newspaper or magazine you needed to already have a dozen other titles in the stable, invariably launched by your father's father.

Then the internet hit. Initially the impact was minimal, but in the last few years as readers start looking elsewhere for their information, the industry has been whisked into a storm of panic. Suddenly Dear Dolly does not have all the answers. Suddenly the same news on the homepage of a $1.50 newspaper is available earlier online, with related links, videos and community opinion...for free!

When was the last time you bought a paper specifically to view classifieds, real estate or automotive listings, or to learn more about a news item someone mentioned in passing? How many of your friends subscribe to daily or even weekly delivery of a print newspaper? Now think of how many newsletters you and your friends subscribe to, or how quickly you get your news from online search engines, news websites or registered communities.

Concurrently with changes in end-user viewing patterns, technologies exploded, affecting no industry more so than the media space, which is on fire! Information is the most heavily invested commodity on this planet, far exceeding oil, gold or construction. Efforts to tap into this multi-billion dollar industry are breeding new wealth and plenty of fresh ideas.

Faster internet connections, the rise of some terrific content management systems that allow even the layman to get online and become master of his domain in a matter of days, the online social media phenomenon and the ready access to support all augur well for the imaginative entrepreneur. Young business people no longer compare engines under the bonnet or boyfriends, instead websites, hardware and online careers.

Inevitably the more technology poured into the media-scape the more players flock to discover gold, which in turn further inspires the public to be even more discerning in its consumption of that media. But we all know this - what is the opportunity?

So here is the punchline - the bigger the toybox and scope of possibility, the more we see end users wanting to dissect their information chunks, making these chunks smaller and more relevant to their personal interests. They want local news about their neighbourhoods. They want to pick up a magazine from the coffee table that invites them into a community of other Brazilian Pink-spotted Lizard lovers, and they want to know that they can feed into their media of choice, contribute some of their own insights, integrate.

The opportunity therefore is simply to facilitate this trend, grease the track and clip everyone's ticket as they pass through your gates. Grab a local news, magazine or community news website. Fill it with enough content to create a starting point of interest, and there is plenty of free or very cheap content out there, then hit up your local or niche community for their own contributions. Get the balance right and you will hit that magic 'critical mass' where your news or magazine site starts taking care of itself. You may always have to login and approve the articles, but the online ad revenues should help sweeten things.

In a nutshell, you are running a multi-user blog, without ever having to submit a blog of your own. The successful publishers of tomorrow will be those media entrepreneurs who get the content balances right, whereupon the advertising dollars will follow. When they see their local news, magazine or community website succeeding, they may very well press the 'Export' button and go to press!

If you thought this article on local news and niche publishing for newspapers and magazines was relevant to your interest set, AND it took you less than 10 minutes casually browsing the internet to find it, I rest my case - local news and niche publishing, whether online and/or print, are winning! Now look around the space surrounding this article - is someone looking to sell you something? Can you see online advertising? Is someone earning an income here?

Hyper-local and niche content is the future of newspaper and magazine publishing.

Classified Ads and Online Usage

Everyone has used a classified ad sometime, whether in their local newspaper, or magazine, with the intent of selling something. The most common types of items for sale include real estate, pets, auto or truck sales, rental units, sports items, music items, furniture, appliances, children's toys, exercise equipment and so on.

The internet has become the first choice for millions of online users as a place to post something for sale. It is easy to use the internet to check pricing, try to find better buys, using auctions such as eBay, and surfing online shopping malls are now very popular.

You can even Make Money Fast with the Technology Industry, as it begins to expand. Privatization has brought a whole new opportunity for people to get their piece of the service industry. By simply switching some of your services like your high speed internet, cell phone and satellite providers, you can start an amazing business. People are much more open then they ever used to be, in looking at the internet for a good reliable new source of income.

Classified advertising separates itself from other forms of advertising, as it uses group headings and category subheadings to help quickly identify the item of interest. With the addition of Web 2.0 now, adding photos, or videos attracts even more attention to items for sale being posted online. If you own a business and are interested in advertising online, then classified ads can be your best investment. Often there is a small annual investment opposed to a newspaper ad that may run for only 2-3 days and be more money.

Unlike newspaper formats where you are given a limited number of words and lines, or are charged by the number of words and lines, online sites usually offer much more flexibility, and many are free to the residential target market. Adding the options of photos and videos, items receive a far more real idea of value.

The biggest value of online classified advertising I believe is that your audience is far wider than what you get with a given geographic newspaper. You can draw interested buyers from a much broader perimeter increasing your chances for a quick sale.

Online advertising has become a 15 billion dollar industry, and growing, and the business community now sees value in this new technology and exposing their services and products to a new and larger market. Another great benefit to using the interest to advertise is that it is a Big step towards going Green. There is no paper printing and waste of production in unwanted and unread flyers. It is saving thousands and thousands of trees per day.

Soon there will only be online exposure, there will be no more printed advertising. As pre-school age children learn how to play games on the internet before they even begin school. Almost every business now can't operate without computer software, a web site or email. And of course the Baby Boomers are quickly stepping to the plate to learn how to navigate the search engines of cyberspace. Lea Gail Parkhurst has been operating online businesses since 2004, and has developed an amazing library of learning material. Review of the Traditional Methods to Source Leads to Grow Your Dubli Business

Dubli will soon be launching its international shopping platform. Dubli with all its great shopping attributes such as; guaranteed lowest prices, new big brand items with factory warranties and lowest unique bid auctions, will soon become super popular amongst the established home shopping networks such as Japan and among those looking to grow a work from home business, with a seemingly once in a life time ground floor opportunity to be amongst the first to promote and educate others about Dubli.

If you decide to take up the amazing business opportunity that Dubli represents then you are at first going to be pretty excited by the opportunity you have but will then you need to have a network of other people to share this information and opportunity with. You will need like-minded people that you can personally introduce to the fun Dubli shopping experience and give them some complimentary Dubli shopping credits so they can themselves experience Dubli first hand. The shopping credits are used to be able to reveal the discounted prices of items they are interested in (each time this happens the price is reduced by 25 cents) or to place a bid on Dubli's lowest unique bid auction.

This article is a review of three of the traditional and relatively inexpensive methods that you can use to promote your Dubli business.

1/ Make up a list of all the people you know (friends, relatives, work mates, etc) and call them on the phone and ask for the opportunity to show them the Dubli website while they are in front of their computer. This is a difficult method as theses leads are all what they refer to in MLM as "cold leads". They are probably not looking for an opportunity right now and probably will find your level of excitement about this opportunity off putting; however they may humor you by letting you at least show them the website and send them some free credits. They may then at the very least become a shopper that may remember to use the website the next time they are looking to make a purchase on-line. This exercise may however cause some disharmony amongst your circle of influence and you may regret having ever put yourself out there to have even asked them in the first place. This may be a not so good start to your Dubli business experience (as it was for me) and such it may quickly erode your excitement, enthusiasm and confidence.

2/ Purchase Leads: You may decide to purchase leads from a company that specializes in providing this service. These leads are generally generated from on line advertising where an interested person opts-in with their contact details to then receive more information about a work from home business opportunity. You need to make sure that the company selling you the leads guarantees that a certain percentage of the leads will be good (not having used bogus information when registering) and such are able to be contacted. These are "warm leads" as the person has at least shown an interest in receiving the sort of information you want to share with them. These leads may be relatively expensive e.g. 100 leads for $300Aus but if the leads result in you expanding your customer base or number of Business Associates it may be money well spent.

3/ Printed Material: You may try putting up flyers at your work place or on the public notice boards in your local community or place a classified advertisement in the local newspaper. Flyers are generally an ineffective way to get your message across. Firstly you will be lucky to even find a notice board at work that you are allowed to use and any community notice board (if you can still find one) will probably be crammed full of out of date flyers (no one usually comes back to take down their flyer) and such are largely ignored by anyone passing by. Most local councils now use littering by laws to prohibit the placing of flyers under a vehicles windscreen wiper blade. It is worth checking first with your local council as you may be surprised as I was to learn that it is a hefty fine for each offence i.e. per leaflet!

Newspaper advertising has been on a gradual decline for many years now as a result in the declining numbers of newspaper sales. If you use a local newspaper (the local rag is generally the most affordable newspaper option) you may be disappointed by the response that may be little more than a few "tire kickers" that ring you up for the quick run down then say they will call you back but never do. As you are paying by the word, your budget may limit you to the number of words you can afford or the number of days the advertisement will run. It is very difficult to give any more then just a snippet of your business opportunity in 10 to 15 words.

Part two of this review will look at some of the newer methods of utilizing Social Media to grow your Dubli Business.

Richard D Williams is a Dubli Business Associate and a trusted Registered Nurse in rural Australia.

If you would like to know more about either the shopping opportunity or the business opportunity that Dubli will soon be making available as it expands worldwide to include massive new and yet untapped markets such as Japan, please send an email via his website http://www.GoodForBusiness.com.au which has a language converter on the website or send Richard a direct message via twitter at Richard's twitter account "JapansDubli".

Each week there are free 1 hour webinars covering all aspects of Dubli the links for these are posted on Richard's twitter account. This is your opportunity to literally be one of the first in line in Japan for this unique ground floor opportunity with a tried and tested and rapidly expanding international company.

How Selling Newspapers As a Home Based Business Can Become a Thing of the Past - Part 3 of 3

How Selling Newspapers as a Home Based Business Can Become a Thing of the Past if we do not acknowledge all the hard work involved with newspaper distribution whether it is done via home delivery or by a street vendor.

If you have read my previous 2 articles, you will remember I went over the pros and cons of both.

How if we are not careful in helping newspaper vendors keep their costs down. We might not be able to have this privilege for very long.

Have you noticed how the monthly charge has gone up? I remember it had not changed for years, and now all of a sudden a price increase. Well with everything else going up, this had to eventually.

My reason for bringing this topic to mind is because the people in this small business opportunity have already lost sales due to the internet. A lot of people given the choice prefer to just go to the computer instead of looking for the paper, or again turn to the internet during a coffee break a work.

Then factor in the gas prices going up and job losses occurring left and right. People not affording this luxury anymore brings sales down and then others stoop to taking their neighbors.

I hope you can see what these people go through on a daily basis and just like us need to make ends meet.

This is a hard job I am sure and one that not just anyone can do.

I truly appreciate my newspaper delivery person and have started giving him a tip every month because I know he is doing a good job. Although, he has been doing a good job all along, we just took him for granted. So now we do realize and appreciate the hard work he is putting into his business.

I only hope you take to heart what I have tried to explain and next time you see them hard at work.

Tip them, give them a warm hello and tell them thank you for a job well done.

Newspaper classified ads are a major investment for small business owners however only reaching a small percentage of their targeted geographical market.

By using the internet for the same classified ad, circulating on major search engines having their website viewed 24/7, 7 days a week, 30 days a month. They are now Harnessing the True Power of the Internet for their business.

How Selling Newspapers As a Home Based Business Can Become a Thing of the Past - Part 1 of 3

Selling newspapers as a home based business has long been used by adults and teenagers who have a drivers license to help with finances. Some people do it for extra money others just to get by. However having a newspaper route or standing on a busy street corner are the only 2 ways available for this home based business marketing strategy. They each have their own pros and cons so let me explain what these differences are.

Newspaper Route: Adults or teenagers can do this if they apply themselves and can make good money but lets get to the differences between newspaper route and street vendor.

1. Adults doing this type of marketing newspapers will need to get up very early in the morning to deliver the paper to every home on his / her route by a certain time. Remember ladies can and are doing this as well, it is not just a guy thing anymore.

2. Now wait a minute, what all is involved in this marketing strategy is it just delivering the paper or do they have to prepare before?

I would venture to say that this person is responsible for picking up and preparation of paper before distribution.

3. A car, truck or van can be used for this delivery process. They need to pay for gas otherwise they would need to walk or ride their bike. So unless they have a bike or want to walk their route which I doubt they would.

Having to pay for gas is a necessity and already cutting into their profits isn't it.

(Bummer) And the way gas prices are going up, it makes it harder for anyone to hold on to the money they make on any job, not just this one.

4) Do they get paid right away. I am afraid not, I myself have had like 6 or 7 different people delivering my paper in the span of 3 years living here.

Why you ask, because like everything thing else in life, there are people who will try to take something and not pay for it. In which case happens a lot evidently just by looking at the statistics with my carrier. So what does the carrier do?

They quit after doing it a few months because their time is precious just like ours and if they are not making a profit then they leave it and at new person starts the same cycle again. This happens every day in every route, we just don't know of this. Only a select few make it in the newspaper delivery industry which also applies to any industry.

Now a word on not receiving the paper which does happen occasionally. It could be that your carrier might be running late or someone took it from your property. Since the paper needs to be delivered at a very early hour and it is dark, who will see someone picking up the paper from your residence. Please if this happens to you and are not aware of this already.

DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT call your local paper distributor. Because if you do, they will send you another newspaper but will charge an exuberant fee to the carrier. It is better if you have your carriers phone number and call them. Otherwise, they will not make any profit on that sale and lose money in the process.

Although this may be the choice for some, there are others who prefer to be street vendors.

Classified ads are a major investment small business owners depend on to succeed.

Plus they only reach about 20% of the offline market and factor in another percentage of that market is not all targeted traffic.

The ad comes out once a week if you can afford it weekly or maybe just once in a while for most.

However, if you advertised the same classified ad on the internet where 80% of your clients are looking for your product or service, your website can now be viewed 24/7, 7 days a week, 30 days a month.

By using the internet for online classified ads on major search engines and having your website viewed 24/7, you are now Harnessing the True Power of the Internet for your business.
