That's right...which one do you want to be?

Ok, so when you first sign up with the fantastic home based business which is YourNetBiz you instantly have access to the retail suite which consists of over 2000 of the most up to date and in demand digital products which you can either sell individually or package it up. They include ebooks, videos, software, scripts etc with some of the products even coming with it's own ready made sales and web pages. Sounds great hey?

Ok then Michael, so what's your point? Well my point is that too many YourNetBiz members concentrate on selling the business opportunity and totally disregarding the retail side. This itself is a fundamental mistake, why? well the whole point of joining YourNetBiz is to run/have your own business as an INTERNET MARKETER!

YourNetBiz provides you with all the tools to help and ensure you become a successful internet marketer, providing you with some really good training videos on every aspect of internet marketing as well as weekly training sessions via webinar, but if all you do is focus on selling the opportunity and earning the $2000 commission and not utilising the digital products in the retail suite then you became nothing more than an INTERNET RECRUITER!! Granted, the $2000 commission earned on every new YourNetBiz member that signs up is enough to sway any member to focus on selling the opportunity and why not, it is after all a small fortune and a couple of them a week is more than enough to replace the average workers monthly salary, but then ask yourself this...... if every single new YourNetBiz members only concentrated on promoting the opportunity then what would your USP(unique selling point) be? what would separate you from any other YourNetBiz member out there i.e. why should a prospect join you and not another member? what benefits do you offer over joe blogs or jane jones?

I have lost count the amount of times I have come across YourNetBiz members who only sell the opportunity and all of a sudden they're proclaiming themselves as SUCCESSFUL INTERNET MARKETERS or TOP MENTORS, or INTERNET MARKETING EXPERT which if you put it in prospective is like saying " I've sat in a formula 1 racing car and was driven around for 2 laps, I am now a expert formula 1 racing driver"...(sorry, bad example but it was the only one I could think off)

Not only is this misleading to potential prospects but it is also the reason why members who fail to succeed with YourNetBiz is calling this a scam, it don't work, my mentor is useless, I want to change teams etc.,blah blah blah, etc. Bluntly put, a member who has put up one website or had the website built by their mentor is not a Internet Marketing expert or Top Mentor!

Do you see my point?

But now, don't get me wrong here I don't proclaim to be any of these either but what I do have to offer above every other member of YourNetBiz is genuine experience in internet marketing as I was already quietly running my own websites selling my own products and as an affiliate marketer before I joined YourNetBiz and if you have been reading my story you will have known that I was very lucky and fortunate to have been mentored by a real internet marketer (who has become more of a friend now)who made his millions before he joined the YourNetBiz program hence why I find it so frustrating that YourNetBiz members who only promote the opportunity are suddenly calling themselves Guru's, Top Internet Marketers, Top Mentors etc. This is one of the main reasons why new YourNetBiz members fail simply because they are taught to focus on selling the opportunity by their mentors and this is wrong! To be a truly successful Internet Marketer you need to learn how to INTERNET MARKETING, period!

Anyway, just wanted to get that off my chest. I hope for all the prospects reading this that it will help you make an informed decision on choosing the right mentor/sponsor to partner up with. At the end of the day you need someone that has GENUINE internet marketing experience to help you succeed in this business, and as I've said I was very fortunate enough to have been taught the right way by a multi millionaire internet marketer but not every prospect will be lucky to partner up with one. It is a very dense jungle out there online and there are many many people who will pray on the uninitiated, taking advantage of people by pressing the right emotional buttons. Hopefully for everyone reading you will come to realise I am a genuine, down to earth family man who is genuinely interested in helping other people to make money online successfully. I believe in treating people how I would want to be treated, and if I treat you with respect and honesty my thinking is that you'll do the same right? Well I hope so!!!!

Look, I'm not here to sugar coat things but to give you my no bull, straight to the point thoughts on YourNetBiz. YourNetBiz is a great business to get involved with and can make you a hell of a lot of money, BUT, only if you partner up with the right sponsor/mentor.

So for prospects out there that are looking to join this business and doing your due diligence my best advice would be to be very wary of any YourNetBiz members that say"Just focus on selling the opportunity - that's where the big money is" or "You've got to sell a high-ticket product to make decent money".

Remember, selling the opportunity is only one OF the income stream in the YourNetBiz business, not the ONLY one.

What is YourNetBiz?

So what is this business I've been banging on about? Well it's called YourNetBiz. YourNetBiz was formerly called My Internet Business but rebranded to YourNetBiz. Set up by a chap called Rob Hannley, YourNetBiz has enabled many people around the world from Asia to America to lead a stress free, financially secure millionaire lifestyle. This is my one of my primary income streams and it has enabled me to not only lead a fantastic lifestyle but also given me choices, the kind of choices where I can go into any shop I want and not worry about the price tag, the kind of choices where I can choose to practically go anywhere in the world,business or first class and the kind of choices where I can eat at any high class restaurant and pay without batting an eyelid. It has also given me the time and freedom to do whatever I want.Having a young family, it is important to me that I get to spend time with them as much as possible and with this business it given me that and more.

BUT WHAT IS IT?
YourNetBiz in essence is a business in a box. When you first sign up you are given a choice of 4 product suites to choose from, bronze, silver, gold and platinum. Depending on your choice of product suite, you could make up to $2k per sale. As well as the product suites you also have access to a ton of training videos as well as webinars on how to become a successful internet marketer as well as access to the backend retail suite. The retail suite is a huge library of the latest and most up to date digital products which you can re-brand and sell yourself at a 100% profit. This itself is another income stream.

HOW EXACTLY DO I MAKE MONEY THEN?

Pretty simple really, there are four income streams with YourNetBiz,

PRODUCT SALES SUITE
Dependent on the prospect's level purchase you receive a minimum of $300 up to a maximum of $2k per sale. This doesn't go to the company....oh no, it's goes straight to you, either in cash in your hand or direct transfer into your bank account which I'm sure you'll agree is pretty handy.

RESIDUAL INCOME.
This is achieved by building your team and earning an override every time your team member makes a sale. YourNetBiz works on a 2 tier system. An example of this can be seen below.

RETAIL INCOME SUITE.
Which ever product suite you choose, you get full access to over 2000 in demand hot information products with full re-sell rights, this includes ebooks, software products, website templates and graphics and audio and video products. These products can be priced at whatever suits you.

LIST BUILDING.
This is one of the biggest income generators if done right. It is like having a your own pin number to a personal cash machine. In short you learn how to build a list of niche product hungry subscribers which you market additional products to once you have built up a relationship with. This income stream itself is what makes most marketers 5-6 figure earners and combined with the other income streams it has personally made me over 5 figures a month. Period!

OK, TELL ME MORE?

YourNetBiz is a legitimate turnkey business in a box, however with all businesses, whether online or not, a certain amount of time, effort and perseverance is needed to make a business work. Though the potential is there to earn a substantial amount of money, it won't work itself. You won't make money by investing $**** and sitting back on your backside.However once the foundations are laid, it pretty much is 95% automated. Online Marketing isn't rocket science and with a bit of time and effort it can pay off handsomely. However what truly accelerated my income and learning was the fact that I had a brilliant mentor, not just any mentor by the way, this mentor was a multi-millionaire(you may have come across him already during your search) who had already made his millions through online/direct marketing before he became a member of YourNetBiz and he taught me all his strategies I now use to great effect.

Another great thing about the YourNetBiz business is the PBA (personal business assistants).Basically they are exactly what the title suggest, personal business assistants that help with your YourNetBiz business. These PBA's will answer the phone and speak to prospects on your behalf and generally close the deal for you. This comes in handy for when you are away on holiday or off sick or just fancy having a few days off and prefer someone else answering your prospect calls.

The back office of YourNetBiz also provides weekly training webinars to ensure you are up to speed with the latest marketing strategies as well as providing over 600 training videos on everything you could ever want to know about internet marketing, something which I advise my team to take advantage.

HOW DO I JOIN AND WITH WHO?

The only way prospects can join this business is through a sponsor i.e. mentor. And the only way you can learn is if you have a good mentor that can guide you through the process. As someone who has been through it they can get you up and running in a matter of weeks whereas if you done it by yourself it would take months.Now I want to take this opportunity and make something clear as I've not heard or come across any other YourNetBiz members mention this and that is the fact that sponsor's i.e. mentors are not obliged to mentor a new team member at all, whether a sponsor decides to mentor a new team member or not is entirely at their discretion and there is nothing a new prospect can do about it......yep, that's right, I have heard of cases out there of sponsors who promise 1-2-1 training, ongoing support etc but once the funds were handed over, the sponsor would either provide minimal training or help and in some cases none at all hence why some new prospects fail, not through no fault of there own but simply because they didn't get the help and support from there sponsor.

So bare in mind that you do your due diligence thoroughly on who you decide to partner up with. It can be quite a jungle out there online so who you choose as the right mentor is very important, ask question's like how long have you been online? what can you teach me in terms of internet marketing, i.e. affiliate marketing, list building, JV(joint venture) etc? how many income streams do you have? Ask them their USP (unique selling point)....any good sponsor worth there salt should be able to answer these questions confidently. Get this part right and you could genuinely be on the road to success, get it wrong and you could end up with someone that won't even answer your calls once they have your cash or worse still teach you absolutely nothing about internet marketing.

Another key thing to remember when looking for a mentor is whether they return your calls or not. When I first started out I tried to contact a very well known member from YourNetBiz numerous times, however I could never ever ever get hold of him. My calls were always unanswered, my emails were never returned and in the end I just looked elsewhere. Now if you can't get hold of someone during this stage what kind of mentor do you think he would be when you join?

Another problem with some of the mentors out there at the moment is the fact that they focus too much on marketing the business opportunity without making no effort whatsoever to learn Internet Marketing, this mentality in turn gets passed on to their new team members which in turn creates a cycle and that is the number one reason why a majority of people fail at this business as they aren't learning how to become a internet marketer.

Remember, Internet recruiting is not Internet Marketing. I have lost count the amount of times I have come across members of YourNetBiz who focus on the recruiting side of the business proclaiming to be top mentors etc. Now I don't want to scare you off, but what would you do if YourNetBiz for any reason whatsoever ceased to exist? They aren't immune and it could happen and the outcome most likely would be is that every member who focused on selling the opportunity and didn't bother learn internet marketing would be looking for a new job as they simply wouldn't have a business opportunity to recruit new prospects for, whereas those that did learn internet marketing would just simply move on and find a niche product to promote to there LIST that they had built up! PERIOD!

So be wary when a sponsor/mentor tells you "Just focus on selling the opportunity - that's where the big money is" or "You've got to sell a high-ticket product to make decent money."

My Opinion

Until a company reaches several years of service their is always that chance of failure, that being said I have seen strong powerhouse companies at the top of their game crumble, including 1 I was a part of which brings me to this. LYF or LYF Brands seems to be the real deal but you need to learn how to protect yourself and your investment of time and money if they should fail. The way to do this is simple, brand yourself not the company, you inc. These companies and affiliate programs should be used as an income stream only. You want to brand and promote yourself or your company not the primary opportunity, its one of the biggest secrets in the industry, people join people not companies. If you want to be successful in the direct sales industry you must become a leader and brand yourself, here are a few simple tips to help you do just that...

Market and monetize the list
Separate the tire kickers from your new distributors

Can You Do Business PROFITABLY As a Web Designer-Developer?

I chose to discuss the above subject, because over the past seven years, (in my part of the world), I have come across too many web designers/developers and also software developers, who have reasonable technical expertise, but are unable to get adequate remuneration from the clients who hire them.

Chance meetings with individuals claiming to be certified "graduates" of some popular computer programming training schools here in Lagos, have led me to discover most of them lack business marketing/project management skills or know-how.

By this I mean they (hopefully) have acquired the needed technical skills to develop software or websites from the schools they attended, but are often not equipped with crucial business marketing and selling skills, that would enable them make enough money to profit from using their skills to serve clients.

I have seen, read or heard about people offering training to enthusiastic learners on "Web design, software development etc". What I have however discovered is that most of these training events never include teaching the attendees:

(a) How to find potential customers

(b) How to sell successfully to such potential customers

(c) How to negotiate to win profitable jobs with the right customer types

(d) How to plan and implement projects won to ensure completion to client satisfaction

(e) How to use completed projects and satisfied clients to win jobs from new clients - and repeat business from existing customers.

And those five (5) key concerns, are what this issue of my newsletter is about.

So many people who venture into business - whether product or service provision - fail to pay attention to LEARNING how to effectively market and sell themselves/their products or services to those who need them, in a way that earns them profitable NAIRA remuneration.

Here's what I think any person who has the above problem can do (based on my personal experiences/achievements):

A. Identify Your Ideal Customer: The first step for ANY business is to develop ways and means of identifying people in the market place who fit the target audience profile for your product or service. For instance, check through records of (or think about) past customers/clients to see if there is an identifiable trend that will hep you define the demographics of those who patronize your business.

B. Decide How To Reach Him/Her: Many times, it is better to spend time THINKING and PLANNING before you jump on to the streets and start DOING. No matter how much money you have at your disposal, doing this will help you get better results, than if you did not do it.

Indeed, my experience has taught me that when you have "enough" money, it can sometimes make you less prepared to STOP and THINK about the most effective way to reach your target customer. You tend to get "itchy pockets/fingers" - ever so willing to spend and then "wait to see what happens".

I urge you to save your money for those more crucial situations when you will need it. In fact, it would be smarter for you to think and act like someone who does not have enough money. How does such a person behave? Well, s/he is more likely to stop and think before spending one kobo of available limited funds until s/he is sure it will yield reasonable dividends that will move the business forward.

A lot of people think if they throw money at their business marketing, it will eventually yield the results they want. That's an intellectually lazy person's approach - and it can be quite costly! Quite rarely does this "shooting in the dark" method work. A better strategy, based on my tested and proven methods is to explore/experiment using a variety of ways to reach your intended customers, and objectively measuring which gives you the best results. Over time, you can build on what you learn from doing so, to win more customers - at less cost.

My philosophy is to aim to spend as close to ZERO naira as possible to win every new customer - of course, this is subject to realities that I encounter. You will have to develop and test your own ideas, till you find something that works.

C. Present (& Negotiate) Your Offering: For some people, the prospective customers eventually start coming as they market and/or advertise. But, the ineptitude of the service providers often makes them struggle the most when this happens. These individuals typically have difficulty telling prospective clients what they can do, how long it will take and how much they will do it for.

As a result, they end up being arm-twisted by clients to accept to do jobs way beyond the scope agreed, working longer than they quoted for, and getting paid less than they negotiated. Actually, negotiation is one major area of weakness for a lot of these guys.

They let clients "fool" them with "I want everything and more that you can do, but I don't have enough money to pay you profitably, so please help me" propositions. Which is why they go from job to job barely able to make ends meet.

My advice: Tell them what you can do for them - use simple English, not technical jargon. Most times they will be non-techies. It is important that you help them SEE the end you aim to deliver to them in their minds' eyes.

For instance, say "would you not like to have MORE potential customers discover your website on their own, without YOU having to give them your website address by yourself?" Once they buy into your "offer", they will ask how much - most serious prospects will ask this question at some point, before your discussion ends.

You should respond by telling them your price and giving reasons for your fee if they ask - making sure to add that a reduction in price below a certain point will mean delivery of LESS product/service. To be able to work in this manner, you must have spent good quality time THINKING of how to cost your products/services(including your time), so that your explanations will be convincing.

For instance I use my hourly rate of N3,000 as a basis/reference for costing most of the work I have to do. And I actually did some calculations to arrive at that figure. This makes it quite easy for me to defend my fees to prospects and clients.

One more thing: Some prospective clients will tell you to do work for them at a loss, so that you can then use them to win new clients that would give you a profitable project to do. Very rarely will this be a smart thing to do. I say this from personal experience. KNOW THIS: If the client truly values your expertise, s/he will have no difficulty letting you make a profit in serving him/her.

D. Do Your Job - And DO IT WELL:If/when you eventually get hired, one would hope (for your sake) that you actually have the competence to complete it to the agreed standard that would satisfy the client.

If not, one would hope (again for your sake) that you actually have one or more resource persons you can call on to HELP you get the work done on time, and to the desired standard. Success at this point would result in a happy customer, and a completed job you can use to win over more customers. Failure here would make you look very bad.

There's quite a lot more I can tell you, but the above provide a useful starting point, that you can build on.

Summary: If you are not making money PROFITABLY from serving your clients as a web designer, developer or software developer, then it could be that you have not properly developed the business side of your operations.

But correcting this problem will NOT require you to go attend an MBA class. You just need to develop the right methods, and processes. I developed mine by learning from (hard, painful) experience, and also by studying what others have written about their own experiences, and achievements.

Do a search on the web - there are many more proven experts like them offering excellent insight on how to do business better in this regard.
